DO NOT return the call from someone calling from a 876 area code.
This is not a toll free "800" number, it is the international long distance code for the island nation of Jamaica. You are charged international and long distance rates for calling this number. Other international/long distance area codes are 809, 284, and 649.

Just got a call from this number saying it was publishers clearing house, that I had won 3 million dollars. It was hard to understand the man, and the area code 876 is Jamaican. I told him I didn't have access to my info, and just hung up. They have a whole story about how you entered the contest and stuff. Don't buy this!

I just got a call from this number saying they were publisher house clearings saying I won 500,000 dollars. I told them I didn't have access to anything as I was currently driving, but needless to say this is clearly a scam. I also couldn't understand him half the time. What a world we live in!

Of course area code 876 is Jamaica. Plenty of Red Stripe Beer, not enough jails. When you see area code 876 on the phone, just don't answer.

got the call today. ups was to deliver 1.5 million to my door. Asked his address in Washington dc where he said he was calling from. He gave me a zip code from Michigan. Then the rooster starting crowing in the background. Told him I had to go. He said where! So I just hung up.

A Michael Blair called me and said the same to me except the he tells me to call the internatioal claims dept and as for Joseph Williams (president) 876 278 7399.  Decided to pull his chain and question him about the roosters crowing in the back round, and the children.  He got very defensive and told me that this was very legit.  I was still laughing under my breath.  What a idiot did he think we are.  He called back 2 hours later wondering why I did not call back.  He also gave me the address of the company  bogus.

This is a scam. A person who calls himself  Patrick Anderson (1 876-278-7399) tells me that I have won 3.5 million dollars and a 2011 Mercedes Benz . He wants me to tell no one of this. He ask me to go to the nearest western union and send him $150.00 so that can send me my money and car today.  To get him off the line I told him I am on my way there needless to say I will not be fooled by them and I pray that no one else will either.  Be aware!!!!
