Scam

Started out with publisher's house clearing and random stores (I.e. Walmart was greens etc.) And when I asked to be removed from the calling list I was verbally assaulted with very degrading and sexual statements. Told him to have a nice day and hung up. Yep. Good day for justice.

Received a missed call on my cell from this number. Since I didn't recognize the area code I Googled it and found this web site. Due to this info I have not returned the call. I too was in Costa Rica and Mexico within this last year and am also on the Do Not Call Registry. Thank you for the info. Will pass it along.

my husbands work phone keeps receiving calls from this #.  He had answered a couple of times and got the speel.  hung up on time twice.  So i (female) answer it and he tells me to "put the man on"  i refuse, told him it was a work issued phone and not to call back.  I hung up.  he calls right back and again, like the previous conversation never happened, he tells me " to put the man who owns this phone, either my father or husband, on the phone" again i say this is a company issued phone and is only for company business and he said, and a quote "You're Fu#king lying".  Literally CUSSED me!  WTH>?

DO NOT return the call from someone calling from a 876 area code.
This is not a toll free "800" number, it is the international long distance code for the island nation of Jamaica. You are charged international and long distance rates for calling this number. Other international/long distance area codes are 809, 284, and 649.

"This is not a scam" Was the first thing I could understand him say. Told him to lose my number and hung up. He called right back wanting to know why I told him to lose my number. I told him I could not even understand him and do not call me again. Then I called him back and asked for his supervisor. He wanted to know why. I said just put your supervisor on. He said, "You don't call me and tell me what to do!" I'm on the do not call registry so why is this scammer getting through on my phone?

Voice with accent called twice in row yesterday, June 23 2013, despite the fact I'm on Do Not Call Registry. Prize varied on both calls, $450,000 and $500,000. I told them not interested

Received call from person with a foreign accent telling me I had won $450,000 and the UPS truck was on its way to my house and I must be prepared to pay $145 using a Walmart money exchange service.  I asked if he were calling from a New Mexico number and he said ,"Yes".  I asked what city in New Mexico and he said, "Matzatlan".  (There is no such city name in New Mexico).  I told him that and he finally hung up. We had talked more than twenty minutes mostly with his trying to convince me that I had won a big prize from the Clearing House and that it was not a fraud .

Just returned from Mexico and Costa Rica and suddenly started getting calls from unknown numbers

None. i am concerned because I called the no back and saw that it was in Jamica.Is tjhis one of those that charge an outrageous amount on your phone bill?

received call from this number stating I won $850,000 and this was no joke. The person obviously was using a device to distort his voice. Told him not interested and he insisted I stay on the phone and listen to what he had to say. I hung up.  Less than 15 seconds later he called back and wanted to know why I hung up on him. Again in a distorted voice. I told him let me check his phone number with our local Police Dept. and I hung up.

Caller left no message.
