I received a call from James Carter at this number telling me that I had won a contest through Wal-Mart by using my credit card.  All they needed was the processing fee.  When I hung up on the man he called back immediately insisting that it was not a scam.  He was very persisitant about my having won and that I would be the looser if I turned this prize down.  It was report to the local officials.

Received a call from a rude and pushy guy (with a somewhat hard to understand accent) that CLAIMED his name was James Carter.  He also claimed that he is with Gold Rush Enterprise out of NY, NY, Company Code BB99. I was immediately informed that I had won 2.5 Million dollars and a 2010 Mercedes Benz. He asked me if I had a bank account?  a credit card?  and if I was married?   The car was and the 2.5 million dollars was to be delivered to my house in one hour, but I would have to run to my local Wal-Mart or other local business that has Western Union and wire a processing fee to a Kemar Williams, attention I.R.S. Department of the United States, MaypenJamaicaWI.

James Carter aka Kemar Williams also associated with 876-453-7388. They are calling around to elderly consumers in the San Antonio, TX service area. They are stating that the consumers are eligible to receive a brand new Mercedes Benz and 2-3 million dollars. All the consumers have to do is send a fee to them by Western Union or Money Order. DO NOT RESPOND TO ANY REQUESTS FROM THESE SCAMMERS. YOU WILL SURELY BE OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I suggest filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov.

Received a call from a cell phone listed as JM and was informed that I had won 2.5 Million dollars and a 2010 Mercedes Benz and the car was being delivered to my house today, but I would have to pay a small $10,000 processing fee. I played along with this guy because I have a customer that calls me and often uses a false voice, so as to not insult him I played along for a bit and then hung up. The caller called back less than a minute later and I thought it was my customer and he was ready to fess up to the joke call when the scammer continued to try to get me to give him a smaller processing fee of only $1500. Still playing this like it could still possibly be this customer dragging it along a bit too far, I asked him how he wanted me to pay for this and he said by credit card, I informed him that I had plenty of credit cards and asked which one he wanted and he had no preference, he just asked me to read off the first 16 numbers on the card, when I responded that all 16 digits were zero's the scammer became upset and informed me that he had been doing his job for 45 years and that isn't a valid card number and to stop joking with him. I again hung up with no further contact...
