This person keeps calling and saying I have 2,500 dollars at Western Union. I have to pay 50 dollars processing fee. He gave check number pin number. Said after pin Number Put USA. How do we get these people stopped?

The phone number is 876-882-3692  I received a phone call today saying I won $350,000.00.  He asked in an awful accent how I was feeling right now.  I said great if it was true.  He went on to call me sweetheart and to cooperate with what needs to be done.  I said sure I will coppoerate with your scam.  He said no ma'am this is not a scan I am a man of god and he has picked you to receive this money.  Wouldn't you like this gift from god?  I said, why yes, but since god has no money to distibute I will pass and let you keep it for yourself. He said you can receive this money today, you just need to pay for the shipping and handling charge of $150.00. I asked if I can give him the $150.00 dollars once I receive the $350,000.00.  He said he has to talk to his manager, But it was the same man saying he was someone else and made sure to tell me that no one can know about this.

This is one of the more active numbers, same group of social misfits......

What you had on the end of that line was a dirty,black "Chimpanzee" dressed in filthy shorts and a ripped up wifebeater shirt. He was sitting in a small leanto with chickens/roosters running around (you can usually HEAR them in the background).His "Computer" was a "Etch-A-Scetch" that he was looking up your info on.
They DO use "MagicJacks" registered so they LOOK like they are in 702 (vegas) 775(reno) 305(florida) 256(alabama) and a few others....
BE SMART! ask yourself who in their right mind would hire someone that SOUNDS like these Dingbats?
The funny part, these dumbells don't realize just how STUPID they sound! Accent...what accent!

Record the calls! Great for parties! when you tell them you are recording them they WILL go away!
Use fake names like Joe Namith, Joe Biden,Burt Reynolds..they have no idea who they are!!!
Use a fake address, vacant lot, abandoned building, police station..you get the idea :)
WASTE THEIR TIME!!!! this is a big one :) hahaha ask them to repeat themselves over and over

Pretend like you can't hear them! (most of the time this is real)
String them along for DAYS! tell them you want to send them a check and get their mailing address

Got call from this number also. It was from JM Kingston, I do not answer numbers I don't know.

I have been receiving phone calls from 876-290-2828 stating that I have won a huge lotto and a car. they know your address and Lord knows what else. I have flat out told them I was not interested and every week I still get calls. THESE PEOPLE ARE OUT TO STEAL YOU BLIND!

Recieved a call from a Vernon miller wanting me to pay taxes on a western union check for $25,000. I called publishers clearing house directly and they confirmed it was a scam. They said they do not contact people by phone, e-mail, or letters they suprise you at your door.

I got a call from a similar number but ending in 3710... he had broken English and was saying I won a little over $2.5 Million for shopping at Walmart, JcPenney, or Walgreens... there is no way I am calling that number back if it is going to charge me. I will listen to what my dear parents have told me, never call a 1-800 number, unless it is begins with 1-800, all the others will charge you! Thanks mom and pops!

I received a call from caller id Kingston JM 876-290-2828.  He asked if I received mail from Publishers Clearing house and that continued to ask me to go on the internet to pay my taxes in order to receive the price at which point I cut him off to say this was very suspicious and that I wanted his name, the name of his company and he hung up.

yesterday got a call from vernon miller,i was stupid and sent some money,even though i got a email saying it was picked up.he says it was stopped and he said i needed to send more money,which i told him i didn,t have so he cursed me out,and just a few minutes before he was talking about god.then 20 minutes later i received a call from a dave johnson who sounded just like vernon miller he asked how i knew i said from my messages,then i just got a call saying from houston,texas.

AT 8:00 AM THIS MORNING I RECIEVED A PHONE CALL STATING I HAVE A CERTIFIED CHECK FOR $950,000 BY A MAN WITH BROKEN ENGLISH...I CALLED  STAR #69 TO FIND THE NUMBER....
I CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW THESE PEOPLE GET OUR NUMBERS FOR THESE SCAMS WHEN WE ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTAR.    THANK GOD MY 86 YEAR OLD MOTHER OR SOMEONE ELSE ELDERLY PARENTS DID NOT ANSWER THIS    1-876-290-2828

Caller said he had package to be delivered, similar call from area code a week ago about publishers clearing house winning. Call reported said it was from Jamacia and is a scam. Report similar calls to your police dept.

Got our call today.  Whoopie won 250,000 - ha.  Scammmmmmm -  beware people.  There is no rainbow stew out there.

Just found this email and afraid TO LATE!  Vernon Miller has taken all my money!!!  I was told that the IRS, Homeland Security and President Obama was awarding $750,000.00 to people 65 and older.  I wanted to believe this and then the fun began.  Send $5,000.00 to cover Attorney fees, "Gold seal for the check to be signed by Obama to a Mr. McCamant in Dalas Texas which I did.  I was told the money would be delivered to my home by the Navy, U.S. Marshal and 2 attorneys.  Then the real fun began -- more money for US Customs, more attorney fees and so on and so on, totalling $13,000.00 plus dollars.  I called the IRS and they told me this was not so that this would not happen.

This morning, a "Mr. MIller" phoned my cell phone.  With what seemed like a possibly Jamican accent, he said that he was calling about money that I had won.  During his monologue, the winning amount varied from $350,000. to $35,000.  He asked if I recieved a letter.  Aware that this was a scam, I said that I did receive a letter.  He was momentarily confused.  From there, with an impatient tone, he said that I would recieve "a check by car."  I said that I had already recieved the letter and the check.  Becoming defensive, he asked when I recieved the check.  I said: about ten days ago.  He asked: how much was the check?  I said: over $2million.  He became more annoyed and asked what did the bank say.  I said they just took the check.  It went on like this and before hanging up on me for a second time, he eventually gave up, parting with insulting curses involving my mother and fornication.

The above scam caller was preceeded by a few minuted from a possibly unrelated but very unusual, "window cleaning service" sales call.  The caller spoke in a clearly American neutral non-accent.  That caller was from 954-725-9960,  That may be a coinsidental pest sales call from  Atlantic Window Cleaning

Message left on my phone messaging machine regarding a certified check - I was to call John Johnson at ext. 6000. When i reached number, the telecanvasser had unintelligible English, very accented, and said i had won $250,000. He told me to tell no one, especially the IRS so I would not have to pay taxes. Ironically I do work for the IRS and told him that was illegal for a citizen.He then asked me if i wanted cash or a check. he asked when they should deliver it. They would not send it. This is an obvious scam...He wants me to call at 9 a.m. tomorrow to arrange delivery - has already told me i can refuse money and they will give it to charity for me. They couldn't identify how i got registered for the supposed sweepstakes. They have left three messages this week.

IWe have received a call this morning 11 October 2010 concerning winning $250,000 in a Family Circle sweepstakes that we have never entered.  The individual calling could hardly speak English.  The name he gave us was Vernon Miller.  We investigated the code of 876 and found that it was from Jamaica.  Please investigate further for all of the people that are receiving these calls and does a disservice to Family Circle Magazine.  With the world as it is these days we certainly do not need this harrassment.

I got a call from Vernon Miller as well. I won 25,000 from shopping at wal mart apparantly. I googled the number and got this! Sounded like a scam and now im convinced it is!

I have had 3 calls this morning starting at 6:30 am Pacific Time from Vernon Miller from 1 876-290-2828. He told me that I had won a Publisher's Clearing House sweepstakes 1 Million dollars and a 2010 Mercedes Benz which would be tax free until 2012. All I had to do was send a 1% insurance fee of $555.99 using Western Union at Walmart. On a subsequent call he suggested that since I did not have that much money I could send $100 to Elizabeth Mena PO Box 51323 Riverside CA 92517 or I could phone Western Union 1 800-325-6000 and wire the $100 that way.

Got a call from this number. Obvious scam, similar to others.  Told me I won Publishers Clearing house. Contact FCC at 877-382-4357 to report it. That's what I did. They told me they prioritize by number of complaints. They have jurisdiction even though its from Jamaica, because they are calling USA phones.

Received a call from Vernon miller, heavy accent, said I won a sweepstakes with some casino.
I asked how they would have my name & # when I have never heard of this casino. Was told because I had shopped at walmart or Kmart. LOL Neither.  told me I won $35,000k and needed to pay $150.00 to claim the cerified check.   Scammmmmmm this guy has called 4 times.

I have been getting calls from this man Vernon Miller saying that I had won a lottory put on by reader digest the amount is $35,000 and they want to get it to me but i needed to pay S150.00 for insurence to get it to me.
Sound like a scam to me.

The call I got from this number was from a Vernon Miller.  He left a message to call him about my winnings...........Broken english as well..................

The scam is that this phone number automatically sends you out to an international number, and the goals seems to be to keep you on the phone so that you get an outrageous phone bill. They also ask you to call back so that you get billed more. For three short calls we were billed $15.00 - John also left me a message the next day when i did not return his call saying he was waiting for my call.
