Received three calls yesterday and one this a.m. all relating to big sums of money I have won. Here are the particulars in order received:
09/06/2011 10:33 a.m. EDT Number Unavailable heavily accented male voice said I had won $250K from shopping at Walmart, Target, Walgreens or other common franchise in any given town. All I need do is purchase a $250.00 Green Dot Card from Walmart, have the card and any form of Government recognized ID in hand to accept delivery of certified check. I declined the offer and hung up.
09/06/2011 10:40 a.m. EDT 876-296-1645 Kingston JM A Mr. Dick Walter said I had won $ 5.5 mil in the Readers Digest Sweepstakes. When told I had not entered that contest he said he didn't know how, but I had really won. When asked how much it would cost me to claim this money, I was told an insurance fee of $59.99 USD was required to ensure safe delivery of the prize. I declined and hung up.
09/06/2011 11:25 a.m. EDT 876-291-7173 Kingston JM When I answered this time I immediately asked why was I being called from Kingston, Jamaica. The man said he was not calling from there. I retorted that the area code and prefix were designated for that location, then hung up.
This morning 11:35 a.m. EDT received another another unavailable, but did not answer.

Mr. Turner continues to call and leave messages. We have convinced my father to not speak with them ,(FYI..returned calls are charged per min)finally, however, TOO LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!! My fathers house has been forclosed on for non-payment...Disabled,and on a fixed income. I also have a sister who lives with him and her and her 2 boys. Once again they can feel the effects of the Jamaican scam (no water,elect..food..ect..)Now this...Head warning----- THERE IS NO F*****g money!!!!!!!!!!

Wife received a call today at 10:12 a.m.. eastern time. Caller ID did not reflect anything. Caller stated she had won 2.5 million dollars. Before her could continue his pitch, she cut him off and asked for a phone number wanting to know who would be doing something like this. He gave her 876-291-7173. Of course she called the number to give them a piece of her mind. I think we know the rest
