I received this call as well. I called the police and they asked me to call him back with the police officer present. I used my cell phone to call him back. The man told me he was in Alabama. I did not realize it was actually Jamaica until I received my phone bill with a $13 charge.  The phone company was great about it, though - so that was good.

Somebody just called my mom from this number and said that it was from Publisher's Clearing House as well. Then said that she had to pay 5% for something and that they will come to our house at 2:00pm to bring her the check.

I just had the same number call me. I recognized the very same voice as the caller from 876-486-8975.
This one I was told was from Publisher's Clearing House. The other from Mega Millions; or Mega Bucks.

A person called my grandmother's home and told her that her deceased husband had once signed some sweepstakes entry form with the Reeder's Digest and that he had won $250,000 and that all she had to do was wire $150 dollars via Western Union to them in Jamaica so the check could make it through customs. He claimed the money was going to the IRS's offshore account. I asked him to give me the number off his business license so I could call the BBB as find out if it was legitamate and he kept avoiding the question.
