Hey big thanks to all who posted. This guy is now using number 876-377-4506 and saying he's from publishers clearing house. He said to send 399.00 to have the car I won shipped. I asked from where? He said New York. Too bad he doesn't know the going shipping rates to Alaska. Stupid criminals are everywhere. To all those who posted that he threatened them....he couldn't tell me where Minneapolis was.....so I wouldn't worry. To all those who don't know, you NEVER have to pay up front if you win ANYTHING.

Third day that we have received calls. Says he is James Anderson and won anything from cars to unclaimed pkgs. Been hanging up right away. Said he was in my city (town of 200 people) and wanting to deliver. The 1st 2 months of this yr we received over 70plus such calls. My phone man blocked 6 #'s and there were a few wks when they stopped. He couldn't block all the numbers. He wondered if I was ready to accept NOW--I told him he was a scam--he said "no" and I told him after 70 some calls they should get the message we were not stupid. could go on and on, but would take too long. The numbers were 876-782-3791 and 876-798-0326and 407-346-2356and 914-740-1895. disgusting!!!

I have been receiving repeated calls from a man calling himself James Washington (Jamaica) telling me I have won 1. $75,000 and then $1.5 million dollars.  He has called me six times today.  Numbers called from are 876-336-1320 and 876-578-6865.  If he does not stop I am going to have to remove my home phone.  If our government has enough resources to use the IRS and the Bureal of Land Management to target citizens perhaps they can protect us from these foreign telephone terrorists.  I've had it.

He then asked me where i was? I replied at work he then said "kan you find the time to go to your local western reunion to send 150.00 in and you'll get your prize as well as your new 2k12 lincon navigator.'' he asked me what color i wanted , told me it was very very confidental, asked me if i wanted to be on cameras or keep it confendental when i get my prizes. he mad me feel like it was real . And what really took the cake to make me think this was a real dream come true was because a year ago i really signed up for (PCH). so i ended up sending in the 150.00 and everysince then all i hear is excuses excuses .This has been going on for the past 7 months now and ive been in debt because of this fraud money taking lien man. he still calls my phone today and now that i know i WILL PUT THIS TO A STOP .  and seek help asap.!

My call was from Mr. Armstrong. He represented Winnings International. He said I had a package that was a cashier's check. I saw this was a scam and hung up. It was a private number, and it did not register on my caller ID.

I so wish you were right with your last comment!!
Unfortunately I have an 89 year old neighbor who totally fell for this guy, and after sending him $40,000 or more over a period of 1 1/2 years she still doesn't get it and insists he is her friend.
She is now living with me since she is completely broke and got evicted, and I know if she had money today she would send it on tomorrow (so starting Dec. 1 I will be with her at her bank, get the money out and deposit it in a safe deposit box to keep her from doing it) - it is a sad, sad story!!!
These guys by calling again and again and again at the wee hours of the morning prey on old people who don't get the fine nuances and slime themselves into their lives day by day, so that at some point - like in this case - they finally believe they are actually their friend.
Disgusting; I will make it my mission over the next few weeks to have the FBI or whoever needs to deal with this, take a look at all the paperwork I am accumulating including all the phone numbers calling her (ALL of them from Jamaica - same people I'm sure - a network of a few nicely working together), and see what can be done. What kind of a world do we live in?

Prank Call
I got a call from these guys at Winnings International but they are now using an Ohio number 614-633-0397. New twist is claiming that Mr. David Roberts, the Head of the Federal Bureau of Investigations, is there overseeing the delivery of the package. He will get on the phone when you express doubt about the legitimacy. Says you were selected because you pay your bills on time. How disgusting that these guys are making enough from innocent people on this scam to keep it up.

Got 2 calls from Mr. Washington today. The first was on my wife's phone, and I told him not to call and hung up. He must look up area codes and run through some numbers because my phone # is about 16 digits down from hers. I had a little fun with him when he called my phone. He told me he was with Publisher's Clearing House and needed to verify my address. I told him I wasn't home and gave him another address and he could meet me there. He asked why I didn't sound very excited about winning 800K and a car and I told him we lost all our money in the crash, and I owed 1.2 million, my wife was leaving me, and I have gambling debt as well. I talked him down to $60 (He asked for $370) for the "entry" fee, which he wanted wired to him. I told him I can wire 60, then when I get my check, I'd send him $310 to make up the difference. He said he had to talk to his boss and he'd call back. I'm still waiting for him to call back so I can fill him in on my crack problem. (Spent the $60 to get high). I then will get so depressed, I'm going to commit suicide while he's on the phone with me. Taking it too far? No, it's just a slow day.

(876) 377-8220 called me this morning. I think his name was James Washington. He said "hello can you hear me? this is James Washington I'm calling from winnings international. I'm calling to inform you that you've won $800,000." I said "I'm sorry where are you calling from?" he said the same thing but louder and I said very slowly "I think this is not legitimate and please take my number off your list" before I could say anything else he yelled "F@cK you a$$hole!!" and I started laughing and he hung up.
I wish I would've been a little more funny and said "ohh no oh my god how do I get my money?". " I want to donate it all to charity. All I want is some hot water and oatmeal. Bring it to me?"

Just got this call a few minutes ago. It was exactly the same as everyone else's. He claimed his name was james Washington but I couldn't make out the company because of his accent and the background noise coming from his side of the phone. He said I won $800,000 and I immediately hung up on him. It had scam written all over and at 11am on a Sunday I just don't have that kind of patience. Luckily he hasn't called back yet.

this guy also called me today and told me i won 800,000 and a new Hummer. i talked to him a while you know making that hummer bling with chrome wheels and dvd as he told me all the while laughing. i thought this was a scam from the start but later today my card was used at a western union for 200 dollars. i have contacted my bank and cancelled the card but the charges are pending. i contacted western union and they have no record of the transaction yet the money is gone out of my account. How would he have that access. i wouldnt even tell him my last name. He is a joke. he has called me multiple times today but hangs up when i answer. i called him back and he didnt answer then i started recieving calls from a private number.

Called twice within one minute, looked up the number; do NOT intend to call them back.To anyone reading this - always read up on a new number, and if it's suspicious: do not give them your real name, do not provide a straight "yes" or "no", be consciously aware of what you're saying, let them do most of the talking if possible, and only call if you absolutely must. Some of these jerks record what you say, and then make up fake agreements using modified snippets of your "conversation". Heck, if you can talk as fast as a Texan auctioneer (bonus points for an accent), do so. Makes cropping your statements virtually impossible~!

I just got a call from a man named James Washington. I could barely understand a word he was saying but he had told me that I had just won $800 grand and a new car. The conversation didn't last long. He kept asking me if I wanted to know how I won this money. I said, "yes" and he just kept saying "hello?" like he couldn't hear me or something. I hung up the phone. I knew it was a scam right off the bat because I never entered anything where I would win money. Nor have I given my phone number away to anyone recently. Then I Googled the number he had called me from and got this page. I'm so surprised that he's called so many people with this b***s***! Don't believe anything this man has to say. Do not answer the phone when he calls.

THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number, or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

Same scam as everyone else has written. I told the guy my cell phone was about to die and asked if he could call me at my office so I could give him my bank account numbers. He of course said that he would be happy to and asked for the number. So I gave him my "office number"... (414) 276-4684. That would be our local FBI field office number. I didn't hear back from him.

I received 2 calls this morning (first time I didn't answer) from the number 1-876-377-8220 as well. The person with the heavy accent asks who HE'S speaking with so I played along and said my first name. He then tells me I won $800,000 dollars for GOD only knows and I turned things on him and pretended like my phone was breaking up and hung up. Seriously I hope nobody falls for that crap because he was pretty obvious. If in doubt check it out!!!! Good luck to all!!!!

My mom somehow got suckered into this scam. She wired them over $10,000 total. They told her how to wire money through money grams at Walmart, Western Union, and online wire transfers. She wired money to a Evon Facey, Kesha Taylor, Dwayne Maxam, Nicholas Powell. The man who kept calling our house used the name: Robert Moore, a lawyer from Las Vegas. Needless to say this was a shame when we found out! I'm her daught and we had to change all of her numbers and passwords. Speak to your elderly parents about this-don't let it happen to them!

A man named James Washington called me 9:25 am and said that I'd won $800,000.00 and a new car. The vehicle line-up was my choice of a 2011 Mercedes Benz, a BMW, a Cadillac Escalade and I forgot the last vehicle. I was like, can you tell me how I won this. He said, "The was a drawing in the New Orleans area and my name and phone number was drawn". I wasn't excited enough for him and he asked me why. I told him that I had a uncle who loves doing this kind of thing to family members. My son asked what the catch was, and he got upset because he asked. He said, who was that that asked if there was a catch, was that your boyfriend. I said no, that was my son, he said oh okay. Then the phone started making a noise like another call was coming in, then it disconnected. He called back with the same story but, he asked me if I had $200.00 to send in today to receive my new car. That confirmed my suspicions that this was a scam. I asked him to hold on but he hung up instead.
