I received a call from a David also @876-387-6770 last week and he told me I had won some money. I said I'm not interested and when I said that he started saying f--- you over and over. then he started telling me some things he would like to do to me and I started saying Jesus loves you over and over until he hung up. I got home from work and my husbands tells me about a phone call he got the same day and the same thing happened to him. well when my husband heard what I told him he had said to me my husband called David's number and told him not to ever call us again. we called our attorney general's office and reported it but really there not a lot that can be done to this people.

Just received a call from this number.  Phone ID'd the call was coming from Jamaica.  Guy on the other end claimed to be Steve Peterson, said he was calling from California and that he worked for UPS Delivery Service.  They had a check there for me for $850,000.  I let "Steve" know that my callerID indicated he was really calling from Jamaica, told him I was pretty sure that check wasn't for me (hahaha!), and that he'd better stop trying to scam people.  He hung up on me.  LOL!

Prank Call
I got a call from this same number. But unlike the other people who have posted here, he was not trying to tell me I won anything. At first he said he was from the USPS in Honolulu. Then he started saying really creepy stuff like he loves me, has cameras in my house, wants to be with me and is my secret admirer. So gross and so stupid. Don't people have anything better to do?

This number was marked as recent on my cell phone.  Person did not leave a  voicemail.  A Jamaica call, so I googled it and new it was a scam even before I looked it up.  I entered the Mustangs Giveaway Dream contest for 2 Shelby Cars, but I knew this wasn't the right call.  I never answered my phone or did any call-back.  Any time you don't recognize a call number, ignore it no matter what.

He called my number and I didn't answer.  A few seconds later he called my wife's number and when she answered she said she couldn't understand him and hung up.  I called the number back and could hardly make out that his last name was Jackson and he was the brother of Michael Jackson.  I kept asking why he had called and finally he told me he had the wrong number.

its basically the same as above but the number was restricted and he called himself Mr. Jack Manlee, to which I had cracked up laughing. He gave me the same number as listed here and how I won 1.8 million and a Mercedes.  Instead of wasting my time listening to all this junk, I just hung up on him before he could ask me for any money.

woke up to a guy calling me from 876-846-9084 about winning a 'random computer drawing for spending X amount at a walmart in clarkesville tn' and that i had won about 850k and a 2012 mercedes. he then proceeded to ask several personal questions and mentioned getting it insured so they could release the 'prizes' and have it delivered to me that day in jackson co. tennessee (where i used to live about 6 months ago). i asked if i had to pay anything to have it insured and he said no, then rambled on about how it was legit and there would be 2 fbi agents and a person from bank of america that will show up and take me to the bank to ensure that i was receiving my prizes. he then tried to get me to pay $730 to have it insured and that it was for the 1% of the taxes/fees for the prize and that they had covered the other 99%.

--the breakdown--
i have never been to clarkesville tennessee. ever. i lived almost all my life in tn but never have i been there.
the guy stated his name as gary martin, a very american or english speaking name, but could barely speak a proper sentence at best (probably cause he was reading most of it off a paper) and had a hard time understanding what i was saying to him and had a VERY thick accent. sounded almost like a super thick, stereotypical canadian accent but after reviewing the numbers on this site i can see it being from the gulf islands. in the last sentence i typed he called back, i asked him about his accent and where he was from and he said 'born and raised in new orleans' then i told him 'no, i've researched his # and he was a scammer' and he hung up ^_^.

he gave me the 876-387-6770 # as a company call back #, and the website was 'magomillions.com' which was mega-millions but had misread it, plus it brings you to the mega-millions lottery site, and the street address of 303 carson rd nevada with no zip code. there isn't a carson rd in nevada, there is a carson st though and google maps street view showed a spiffy lookin office building but he could have pulled it up from google maps as easily as i did.

he seemed rather impatient when on the phone and was starting to get his information mixed up.

thank you 800notes.com and all you folks who commented for the help. i was about to go to the local bank of america to see if they could confirm it or to see if they would like to try and catch a scammer for fraud but i think ill bypass that hassle instead.

i do believe this is technically illegal, many of the comments tell of them calling 5-30 times in a 24 hour span (harassment), and if people give them the money it could constitute as theft (or in my case GRAND theft [theft of money or assets worth $500 or more and is a felony]) and fraudulent activity/practices. however, law enforcement may not pursue it due to the massive costs and trouble of going to another country in order to apprehend the culprits who could have a fair chance of evading capture and tieing up more money, resources and time. there would also be a risk of political whiplash/backfire/scandal, which the U.S. doesn't need right now. unfortunately i don't see the authorities doing something about this :(

I just got a call from this number from a man claiming to be Ryan Seacrest, despite having what sounded like a southern accent.  The caller informed me that I had won 1.3 million dollars from something called Mega Millions.  I started laughing so hard, that he hung up.

I received a call from this number.  He said I won 5.8 million and a mercedes and would have a news crew with him and continued asking questions in which I did not answer or gave very vague answers that he could not get any real info from.  He tried asking where I was so he could personally deliver the winnings and wanted my information.  I told him call me when he is in town with the local news crew and I would meet them.  He hung up the phone.

A person by the name David Harper, called my phone saying I have won $45,000,000 and a Mercedes Car from a Walmart Drawings.  He tells me a bunch of information which eventually tells me to pay $478 to the Western Union to insure the release of the check.

I told the guy, "I wasn't interested"; due to me thinking it was a scam.  Then he persisted to try to talk to me by saying "now you listen here".  The next morning, the same person called my phone 4 times, then attempted to call me with another number (1-876-871-2148) going by the exact same name.

For anyone else getting a call from either of these numbers, don't call this guy back or you will be charged long distance international rates and don't answer the phone or believe anything he says.
