If you called back you were scammed and didn't know it.you were charged international rates which are several dollars per minute.be prepared for a shock on your next phone bill.if you don't own the company be prepared to explain the charges on your desk phone to your boss.

just received a call exactly like CC's. how they got my cell number is beyond me, but when my cell rang and it said restricted, I thought it was my daughter calling from my house. didn't realize what it was until they started talking. I hung up and called the number on my work line and strung the guy along. I told him I couldn't get the money today, but deliver the goods and i'll be sure to send a check to the IRS, if he could give me the amount I need to pay. It didn't take long for this guy to put me on hold.
So I hung up.

caller said I had won $750,000 and a brand new 2013 Mercedes Benz and wanted to know if I was availably to receive the check, or rather was I home. when I asked him what address was on file his response was "I'm sorry company policy is that we can't give out that information." he said that to redeem my prize all I had to do was hang up and call back. he gave me a prize confirmation number, this phone # I had to call back, go to ext. # 5 and ask for John Baker. when I did call back (yes I know, stupid right) the line was just silent after about 30 seconds I hung up and looked up the #. Like most of you above the caller said he was with Publishers Clearing House, and the call originated from Jamaica. so I see the last entry was 5+ months ago so that means they are at it again.so I leave you with one question, food for thought if you will; If you have won something in the US why would they call from ANOTHER COUNTRY?

They are quite rude too! Also, beware that this is apparently an international number as I was charged for calling them back because I do not have international calling on my phone plan. They also claimed to be Publishers Clearing House.

Got a call from someone claiming I had won 2.5 million dollars and 2014 with Mercedes from Publishers Clearing house and they were on their way to my home. If I was going to be then they would there in an hour or so if not when I returned home I was to call Mr. James Carter @ 876-391-2343 ext. 5 and speak with James Carter and give him a reference number. They did not ask for any money and I know that anything that sounds too good to be true usually is. I've never mailed in anything to Publisher Clearing house or any other lottery company. I'm AM NOT one that can be taken to the ringer!!!!!

Of course not. It is from our friendly scammers in Jamaica. The folks that will try to scam you from a street side pay telephone. (saw that on a news show. A Jamaican scammer was video taped and recorded while calling from a street pay phone in Kingston and excitedly announced the BMW and 1.5 million prize) Any calls that come from 876, don't even answer.

The caller said he was from Publishers Clearinghouse. I asked why he called since I am on the no call registry. He asked if I had paid to be on the no call, since I had to pay to be on the list. That, of course, is a lie so I hung up. Later I realized that this is a phishing scam phone number and was NOT from PCH.

Called me during work so I picked up, he said the same thing as Southrain stated. When I didn't write down the number, he got mad and asked if I take his company for a joke. So of course I look up his number and don't call back.

I received the same offer as kacey (listed above). IF it was really meant to be: NO one should pay for anything. If they really had your information which includes your address (and you really won)-the prize should just be yours! No purchase necessary. SMH *shame

I just got a call from a James Carter saying I won 2.5m and a white Benz. All I had to do was get a green dot card form walmart and put 200 dollars on there and they would be at my house in 30 mins with the car and cash!
| Southrain 2012-03-17 15:40:52 Unknown |
This number is also associated with 1-876-445-2292. I won 2.5m and the car. $1000 to cover the tax cause they already paid a percentage, but had to pay upfront couldn't wait till the prizes showed up.

Tried to say I won 4.3M dollars and a Mercedes Benz all i had to do is pay 1% of the 4.3M dollars in order to receive my prize. Which the money would go to the United States Treasury.
