A caller "James Anderson" said he was calling from UPS from the number 876-401-5677 and told me I won $250,000 and a 2011 Chevy Tahoe with free insurance for the car for two years from Allstate and free gas for a year. He wanted me to wire some guy in New York named Gustav Frorup $399 for a delivery fee.

Caller said he was from UPS and had a certified check for me from Walmart. Would I be home at 2:30?  I knew I would be home.  He told me I had won 2.5 million dollars and "not to faint ye"t  because I also won a BMW.  He asked if I was excited, I said I would beleive it when I see it.  Asked why I was saying that, I hads no0t heard of this contest and I did not fill out any sweepstakes forms.  Phone call did not last much longer.  I called the number and got an answering machine.  Did not tleave a message.

I just received this call! I didn't believe anything of course, but just tried to go along with it to see what he had to say. He said his name was Brandon from UPS? aha and he had a check for me from walmart? He said I would need my id, and asked if I was home alone. Kind of scary. I really hope nobody does come to my home.

This same thing happened to me today!!!  I was actually expecting a package to be delivered so I completely fell for it!  They never showed up and I called back multiple times.  Now in my google searching attempts I have learned that these calls are for you to call back.  Somehow through you calling back and getting charged international charges, they get some sort of commission.  It really scared me though!  I'm worried now and tried to remember if I had given them my address!

I received a call much like Lindsey's above:  the caller (unnamed) claimed to work for UPS, knew my name, and asked if I'd be home at 1:30pm.  This call happened just before 1:30pm, so I answered yes.  Half an hour later, I called back, and the caller informed me that he was on lunch break.  This sort of upset me, so I asked him to hurry up.  He had a very thick accent (South Asian?) and mumbled quite a bit.  I wish I had googled the number before talking.  Thanks for keeping this list.

I recieved a called from someone named "Justin" this morning from UPS. He called me by my name and asked me if I would be home at 1:30p. because they had a package for me. I asked if he could please tell me who was sending me something and he hung up on me, I tried calling back multiple times because he called me by my name. So he had to get my information from somewhere. I called my dad and had him come and sit with me since my husband is working.

I received a call this morning. When I answered I was hung up on.
They must realize I'm not a sucker from the way I answered. Lol.

caller called saying he had a package to deliver....what time would be good.......heavy accent , very hard to understand....when I questioned who was calling, he said UPS....I told them I didn't want anything and hung up.  I called the number back and he answered UPS

I got a call from this number by someone claiming to be John. He claimed to be from UPS and had a package to deliver, then asked if I would be home around 1:30. I told him no but my husband will. I have never had someone call from UPS before. After I found this website I went and told my husband that if anyone did show up make sure he has his gun.

John Jones is a fake .... come on no one is named that and a "telemarketer" as well. Must be a monkey impersonating a human

I got called at work(im a telemarketer) decided to humor him and listen said i won some drawing i am calling walmart and is 100% scam ill be waiting with local police when they "deliver" the prize

this person  called my mom today she is 64 years old and told her the same thing

Said that I won 250000.00 and would I be home @ 1:30 so ups could deliver it.  I already knew about the jamaica scam so I told him "wow thanks I really need that, and to show my appreciation I'm lettin u cash the check and keep half".  He hung up:)

I got a message from this number telling me he was from UPS, and to call him back ASAP.  I was expecting a package, so I called back.  He told me he had a check for me from Walmart.  When I started asking questions he hung up.

It's a Jamaican based scam. Do not call it back, or you will get huge charges on your phone bill!

Received call from number as well, got disconnected before much was said but just the # was suspicious to me...and come to find out-yep # is  being used to scam people :(

A man named John Casino from UPS called me and told me that i just won 3.5 million dollars and a 2010 pearl white BMW with 2 years of free insurance and gas. then he told me that i had to send a western union check totaling $399 to someone named kim hagins in swansea, sc to cover the shipping and handling costs of delivering the car!!!

Caller said he was from UPS and had a package to deliver and would I be home between the hours of 3-5 pm then he asked if I would be naked. When I started laughing I could hear other people in the background laughing. I told him he was full of Crap and he laughed and said no he had lots of cash and really wanted to meet me. I just burst into laughter and he hung up.

Called and left NO mssg ... gotta love predictability

A man called me from this number 876-401-5677 and said I won $250,000 from Walmart. This number is from JAMAICA. I want  to let you know this is a SCAM! Don't believe, don't share any personal info, credit card, address...etc. Block your phone from this number. BE AWARE!!!!!
