I have been playing this game for three days (one day not answering) I'm so sorry you all didn't get your money (I know it is a scam) I've been promised 50.5 million and a black car. I chose public presentation. My guy is an oriental Mr. Tony Moreland. When you don't call back on a 817 number, it becomes 876, and then a restricted number. When you hang up on them they call right back and ask why you hung up. I had never heard of a green dot reload card. 1 million is hard to imagine, but 50.5 million? I have had a laugh.

Said I had won something. Called repeatedly. On the 4th call said, "I know you think this is a F---ing joke but it ain't!"
Could not understand what company name was. Foreigners.

DO NOT return the call from someone calling from a 876 area code.
This is not a toll free "800" number, it is the international long distance code for the island nation of Jamaica. You are charged international and long distance rates for calling this number. Other international/long distance area codes are 809, 284, and 649.

Scammers use these number to not only try to scam you out of money, but also sting you with high phone call rates.

They never require any money, purchases, taxes, fees, or deposits of any kind to get your prize.
Publishers Clearing House DOES NOT call, email, FAX, mail, any advanced notice that you have won.
"If you are ever contacted by someone claiming to represent PCH, or claiming to be one of our employees, and asked to send or wire money (for any reason whatsoever, including taxes); or send a pre-paid gift card or Green Dot Moneypak card in order to claim a sweepstakes prize ? DON?T! It?s a SCAM. If you are sent a check, told it?s a partial prize award, and asked to cash it and send a portion back to claim the full prize award, DON?T. The check is fake, but the SCAM is real!
Publishers Clearing House does not operate this way and would NEVER ask for money to claim a prize award. PCH employees would never contact you personally or in advance to notify you of a prize award. Our prize awards are presented just the way you see in our popular TV commercials, ?live and in person? by our Prize Patrol, with balloons, champagne and check in hand - - and with no advance notification!"

I received a phone call from this number on my cell phone about 8:30 a.m. The caller spoke broken English and told me I had won $950,000 and a Mercedes. I was supposed to send a money gram to Ola Rue in Ruidoso, NM 88345. Supposedly after that I would receive a cashier's check for $950,000 at my home. The red flag for me was asking for the money gram. The man is convincing over the phone. I hope someone can put a stop to this before anyone falls for this scam.

I too just received a call telling me the same thing. I had won publishers clearing house and to call John Chopper to verify that I would be home to claim my prize. I knew this was a scam the minute he started talking, but I too googled and I am glad I did.

I just received a call on my cell phone from 1-876-412-8666. The called spoke broken English and told me that I have won Donald Trump's Publishing Clearing House prize and he wanted to know if I would be home tomorrow to accept my prize.
Of course I knew this was a scam immediately but I wanted to play him along a bit so I acted surprised and excited and asked him exactly what I had won.
He then explained that I needed to call John Cayman at 1-876-457-8290 and tell him my name and address and say that I would like to claim package number 2095.
Of course I did not make the call to John Cayman nor will I. It is my pet peeve to play into these scams and see where they'll lead. It is a form of entertainment for me.

Do not answer. They are smooth talkers and persistent even if you are rude to them. It is a scam. Unfortunately someone I know was taken by them. They tell you that you won money and to send a money gram. The sick people are targeting older people who do not k ow any better. Please beware and let your friends and family know about this.
