Got one from a similar number (876-7261) at almost 11pm my time last night, no message. Number traces to Kingston, Jamaica. No wonder the people above who have talked to someone got a person with an accent.

I work for a local police department. We had a lady call in and she was told she won $750,000 and all she had to do was pay $299 to get the check. She was told that it was Federal Express Courier Service. This is a scam and targeted towards our elderly. Be aware!

This call originated as a Dyer,In. number,requesting I call the 876-430-7080 number and speak to someone at Bank of America.I knew it was a scam call and redialed the Dyer number.It does not ring,but asks for a pin number.When calling the 876 number you get a foriegn speaking person posing as a Bank of America rep.If you ask for his Supervisor,he is away at the moment.I asked where he was located and he said "we are in Crown Point".When I asked for thrie street address,he hung up.

I had a caller from this 800 number call and stated that they were from Bank of America and needed to verify a large check that was posting to my account. The representative had an accent and did not sound like he was from the US. I contacted my bank via the number on the back of my ATM card and there were no reasons for Bank of America to contact me.

These people are scammers especially of the elderly. They called and told a friend who is 84 that he was from Bank of America and that the check evidently was returned to them and wasnt able to be delivered. he even gave his name, Mr. White, with his badge #6264555MJ. Of course, gave the 876-430-7080. All wwe have to do is go to Western Union and get a wire transfer fee made out to Antoinette Jordan who lives in Brooklyn NY. Beware!!!

I just spoke with the guy and ask for his supervisor, to call me back.
He wanted proof of Identification, and a commintment for Readers Digest, and Publisher's Clearing House. He also said he was from FED-X Courier Service!
