Yeah, I got the same call. He said he was from Publishers Clearing House and was in Roanoake, Va. and had a car (Mercedes) and cashiers check for me. I must have sounded suspicious enough of him that he never asked for any money. I didn't bother to tell him I'm a security Specialist/Contractor. I'm guessing he won't show up with any prizes. I reported him to the real PCH and they are passing the info on to the FTC and FBI fraud teams.

Prank Call
Received a call from a man claiming to be with PCH telling me my wife had won the monthly sweepstakes of a new car plus a certified cashier?s check (did not say how much). He did have a sort of an accent (Jamaican?). He would not give me any details, just told me to tell my wife and he'll call back in the morning. Gave me his name (?), David Miller and a phone # of 410-929-8134 (which is somewhere in Cockeysville, MD) for my wife to call. Did not ask for anything else, yet.

This is a scam. There is no $5.5 million prize. The scammer will steal the money he wants you to send him.

I work in a casino so I know about how taxes are handled with wins. this man couldn't get his story straight and when I called him on it he just went on like I had said nothing.  He said that they wanted to pick me up and take me to the bank.  This kind of scard me.  Then he managed to ask me if I could get the 1300.  That's when I hung up and got on the net to check it out.

I have received several call from these goons, and while I had difficulty understanding his version of English, I was able to understand something about 5.5 million dollars.  They called me at 0510 in the morning once and I was so mad I wished I could reach through the phone and choke him out. I hate foreigners anyway, and this has done nothing to help their cause.  I wish that we could send special forces to their location and neutralize them.

I have received 3 urgent messages from a foreigner, supposedly from "PCH" (Publishers Clearing House), requesting that we return a call to this # to verify that my husband is a 5.5 million dollar winner.   I am afraid to return the call after seeing online about the scams from Jamacia in the 876 area code. When I researched PCH online, they state that they do not contact winners by phone.
