Received hang up call on my cell phone which is on the do not call list.

Phone number 876-432-6086  Called me and said I won 1st place from Walmart. I was suspicious of the scam immediately but listened to his call anyway.  He wanted me to purchase a green dot card to help cover shipping/handling for winning 3.5million and a Mercedes-Benz.  He told me to go down to Wal-Mart and purchase this, but I refused. He wanted me to put $499.00 dollars on a green dot card.  Tried to get personal information on me as well. Deffinitely not an American by birth very strong accent.  I researched the phone number which is from Jamaica

I went along with the guy. Said I won 5 million and wanted me to buy a green dot card. I went along the whole way trying to get all the information. I reported him to Wal-Mart as he was falsely representing business on their behalf.(he wanted me to put 499 dollars on a green dot card)
Thick Indian accent went by the name Dave Gordan.
Knew my name and phone number when he called.
Had a small understanding of US tax law and kept telling me to keep that I had won 5 million dollars and to keep quiet about it so I could avoid taxes.
Told me the UPS would deliver a package to my home and that 2 lawyers would show up I waited with phone in hand to call the cops.
Never showed I never put the amount of money requested on the card ether. I waited for him to call back but he did not.

I've been receiving a lot of scam calls lately, each more creative than the first.  Where do I report calls like this?

Said I had won 2nd place in some Walmart contest. Told him I was not falling for his scam and immediately hu.g up in his face.

You can invest in a call blocker,  or contact your phone company about blocking calls.   The Do Not Call list doesn't block calls.  It's just a list of those who do not wish to be called by telemarketers,  and the list is provided to those companies who wish to honor it by not calling.   These people who call trying to scam,  and other illegal callers do not  care nor do they honor the list.  The DNC is a free service to help those legitimate telemarketers who wish to be honest.....stay honest and provide a degree of immunity to those who wish to use it.  Without the DNC,  every business in the World would be legally free to call anyone that was not on the list.  Most of us only notice those who call us while giving little thought to who are not NOT calling us.  You would be getting calls from  Carpet companies,  finance companies, Windows and siding, Home food service companies,  insurance companies,  Cable TV companies,  Direct TV and Dishnet (calling to solicite new subscriptions),  Magazine subscription companies, Direct marketing companies,  Payday Loan companies,  and  the list could go on forever......MY point is,  Many people don't really understand exactly how the DNC works and what it actually does do for those who are one it. There is nothing Magical or Mechanical.  It is simply a list to keep the honest...honest...and to that extent,  it works very well.  To Block your calls,  you need a device that you can tell it what numbers you want to block.
For those who are not happy with it,  they should consider the Opt Out  option to remove their names from the DNC  list.  Then they become free game for everyone,  not just the scammers and the cheaters....

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I never entered any lottery.

Got a call from this number today.  They said I had won 2nd place in the lottery and probably wanted confidential information.  Email is one thing, but a phone call is just wrong.  Please stop trying to scam people and DO NOT CALL people on the "do not call" list.

Received harrassing call on 7-13-12 @ 11:20 am.
