He called me from "876 445 7708" but I got off the phone right away, he was very rude.

I wish I'd wasted more of his time.

I've just received a multitude of missed calls from one of these numbers. So it's interesting to get an idea of what to expect. Most of the previous posts seem to be from Americans. I'm British and in the UK so it appears like they're expanding their targets. Thanks for the info.

Jaclyn, While I am certain the call WAS traumatizing, please understand you are dealing with foul smelling, woolly headed little Jamaican rodents. They can curse - they can threaten, but, they cannot harm you.

I was told that I was being disrespectful when I inquired why the "Homeland Security" was calling my grandmother. The caller told me that someone was going to pay me a visit and within 24 hrs, they were going to blow my F'ing brains out. Wished I would have recorded it. It was traumatizing!! Something needs to be done by the phone companies to prevent this behavior!!!

This man John White called from this number and told me I won 2.5 million and a mercedes. He told me he was on his way to my house and that I didn't have to go to work. Also that I could throw my car keys away. He gave me these numbers saying they , it says Jamaica. I didn't give him any information about myself. They said the were with Publisher's Clearing House?said his name was Michael Anderson & I had won 2 1/2 million dollars & a Mecedes Ben & needed to go to Walmart, Walgreen or CVS to collect my prizes.  Seriously?!

I also got a call from "Publisher's Clearing House" saying I won 2.5 million dollars and a new Mercedes.  When I told him I didn't enter anything, he said this was a monthly drawing that I entered just by paying my bills, etc.  I asked how I can verify who he says he is, he said "I have been with the company for 19 years, I am an honest man, would not do anything to dishonor my family."  So I say, if I really did win something in a drawing, then you would be able to tell me my name.  And he says the drawing was only telephone numbers.  I asked if I call Publisher's Clearinghouse, and asked for his extension, would I get him?  He says it's a big company, blah blah blah.
Background noise sounded like a call center.  Maybe FX?  That made it less likely, after all, how many winners are there?
Yes, the Jamaica area code definitely looked suspicious.

MLC,  sadly, you will discover that the authorities can not/ will not do anything to solve this problem and that the "Do Not Call List" is useless in trying to combat these black stained rodents from Jamaica. I was first contacted by these filthy, little animals, when I received a call from a "John Baker" (many recent posts mention the use of the alias "Michael Lewis.") In any event, this "John" was calling to tell me I had won 2.5 million dollars from "Mega Millions" in Las Vegas. It instructed me to get a Green Dot Money card from CVS, load it with $499.25 to pay for my "registration fees." A few days after this call, I was shocked to see this particular scam featured on ABC World News. During that segment, they played the audio of a conversation between an elderly woman - who had already sent them $85,000 - and one of these vile creatures.

I received a phone call from this number. The man sounded mentally incapacitated....he said he was from Publishers Clearing House and told me I won $ 2 million dollars. Wow...today is my lucky day!!!!! I told him I was so excited and I couldn't wait for the tv crew to show up at my house with the check.

Then I told him to f*** off and I hung on him.

I had the same experience today when i asked where the prize was the same woman was coming to meet me at wal mart  after a time he said to go inside purchase a 300.00 green dot card  inorder for state police to allow the limo & the flatbed trk with my new mercedes on it through....omg!!! i knew then he is a scammer  i hung up several times he called  
back angry i kept hanging up on him  when i instructed my grand daughter to call a fly

I just received 2 calls from this other number 876-445-7711 but the same message's of winning 550,000 dollars from the Publishers Clearing House.  He was from Jamaica and I will be getting a envelope today from UPS.  I have to wonder how he got my phone number and address.  Also I reported the number on the do not call list, phone company and police department.

I Just had this same call with the same information . He told me that his name was Matthew Goldberg. He wanted me to leave work immediatly. I told him to call me back in 30 minutes, because he said that someone was close by to deliver the car to me. I did not even meet him, but i should of had the police their waiting on whoever when they got their.

Yeah...just received same call after I ignored the first call. Said I won 4.6 million dollars from Publishers Clearing House and a New Mercedes Benz that would be delivered to my house today...I asked him what address this would be delivered to and he asked me if i lived in the town my cell phone number is registered to...after further ridiculous banter he asked if I wanted to receive this money and car then said "OK" and hung up when I replied in the negative.

Since PCH is now headquartered in Jamaica and since this call is coming from a street corner pay phone in Jamaica,  One has to assume it is true!    HooooRaaaay...  I won!!

i received a call from 876-445-2292. The guy  said his name was John Peterson and that i won 3.5 million dollars and a 2013 Mercedes Benz. He gave me a confirmation number and wanted me to hang up and call him back the second i hung up. I hung up and didn't  call back. He tried to call me two more times after that but i didn't answer.

I received a call from this number and when I asked to be removed from the call list, the man started cussing and then told me he was delivering a bomb to my  house today.

I just received a call from the same number!  Twice.  The guy told me I was the winner of 2.9 million dollars...I said yeah, right! and hung up.  He called again but I declined the call.  How do these scummy people get our number?

when i asked to be removed from internal call list, he became abusive. When i informed him he had called my work police department cell phone, he went into tirade cursing me then hung up.

I received a call from this number and when I identified myself as a police officer he went into a tirade of cussing and yelling.

He called stated that he was from a las vegas casino and we won 130,000 dollars and a new car!!

Rec'd call from this phone number, asking "are you the rightful owner of this phone?".   When I asked the called who they were trying to reach for the 3rd time, he said "FU" and hung up.  I j ust wonder if charges will be added b/c the call, according to my phone, was from Jamaica!

my mom  just experienced the same problem and they said she had won a mercedez benz and a lottery but she had too purchase a green dot card for $500. Really dude, she said she didnt have that much cash on her, he then asked well how much she had she then said $20 he said okay put that on there and then go get another green dot card and put the other $480 on there

I had the same experience as "ticked off southern lady" same situation, same verbal abuse!
