Got a call from a 'John Turner' of 'Gold Rush Sweepstakes (Caller I.D. said Walmart.)  Claims I won a sweepstakes from a ticket I filled out at Walmart.  Walmart doesn't sponsor sweepstakes BTW.  Had me write his info down and call this number back to verify.  Claims he was at 101 Winners Circle, Port Washington, New York.  Says I have won 1.5 million dollars.  Naturally the number didn't go through cuz AT&T doesn't cover that region.  lol  Obviously, after reading previous post, this guy is very persistent or stupid.  He never did ask for money.  Guess my tone of voice made him uncomfortable.  lol

I got a call from this number today 3/14/12 from a guy saying I won 7 million dollars.

MY 92 YR OLD MOM WAS A VICTIM OF THIS SCAM WHERE THEY CALL & TELL YOU THAT YOU'VE WON MONEY & THEY SENT HER A BOGUS $5000 CHECK AND HAD HER TRY TO RUN IT THRU HER BANK.  THANK GOD B OF A RECOGNIZED IT AS A SCAM & DIDN'T PUT IT THROUGH OR THE SCAMMER WOULD'VE HAD HER BANK # & ROUTING #.  ALSO, HE TOLD HER TO "KEEP IT A SECRET FROM HER FAMILY" SO SHE COULD SURPRISE US.  I THINK THIS IS HORRIBLE.  BEWARE!!!

Got a call at 7 AM from this guy.  Asked him where he was and he said Los Angeles, same time zone as I am.  Get pencil and paper so I can write down his company and number.  He was from California Lottery and gave me a name and number.  Didn't have time to get paper anyway.  Then started to ask personal questions.  Was I a senior citizen.  He said he wasn't.  I ended the call.

Got a call from 876 448 9254.  I said this # is on the DNC list. The moron said he got my # from the form I filled out to enter some Golden Sweepstakes.  I said I didn't enter a sweepstakes and hung up.  Too bad the jerk can't get an honest job, but that would probably be more work than trying to scam people.

Got a call, guy left message saying "Pick up if you're there, I've got a UPS package"  I never answered and he called and tried again right away.  He said his name was Cooper Johnson, so there's another name used. I'm so tired of these calls!

I had a similar call today.  Same number.  John William this time. Told me I won $1.5 million and a car from the American Federal Department...haha government have money to give away...told me I need to go to the nearest walmart and send him a prepaid card with $500 for the 1% of the brokerage fee I had to pay. I asked how much the brokerage fees was. He said $5,000..wrong.  I told him I wanted to talk to his manger to verify it was true.  I'm pretty sure he put me on hold and then came back on and tried to make his voice sound female.  I told him I wasn't interested.  He said I could donate it to charity.  I said ok that's fine.  He said you will need to go to the St. Louis Office...that's 5 hrs. from my house...not happening.  I asked for a number.  He said 314 then "hold on I have to find it"  (314 is the St. Louis area code) he couldn't remember it so I said i'll just look it up.  Then he called me a b**** and said f*** you and hung up the phone.  Definitely a scam!!!

The guy told me his name was John Davis. At least he sticking with the same first name. Told me I won 3.5 million and a car. Told me he was from GM-Globle Lotty and is sponsored by Geico  Insurance. Send $725.00 Western Union To A Lloyd Hall in Taylorville,Il  When I call back with # proving I sent it my check and car would be here in 30mins. Guy was nice nice oh please do  you think I was born yesterday. If I had money don't you think I'd put food on table first. Really there should be something we can do about this people. For the people that do fall for it cause they need the money. So people don't lose there life savings for these a***oles!!!!!!!!!!!!

he used john brown as his name and told me to send 350.00 to get my verification # to deliver my prize this afternoon, I asked him how he could do that so fast since it is already 4pm, lol, he assured me that as soon as i call with the ver # it would be released immediately and rushed right over. OH PLEASE, then he asked how soon could I get to the western union office to pay and get my ver#,  I told him probably never cause I think you're full of s***.  Gee do ya think it's a scam, lol.

I do know that this guy uses his name as John Lee from the Publishers Clearing House if that Helps anyone.

This guy from this so called Publishers Clearing House calls me about every other day wanting money for which he says he has a package for me with a certified check for $2.5 million. He says it will be brought by UPS. But in order to receive the package you have to send this amount of money to where  ever he tells you to send it. I know he is out of jamacia somewhere.
