He said his name was John Washington. Offered us a CHOICE of Mercedes -Benz c class plus the 1.2 million , which we needed pay only 1% of the taxes. He had our address and wanted to send someone over to "collect " the money. When we asked for the name of the company attorney, surprisingly he gave the name of MS Attorney General , Jim Hood. Amazing and amazingly stupid.
Well Mr. Washington in case you or any of your cohorts happen to come accross this blog spot and  can read and understand the English language,  I contacted Attorney general Jim Hood so that he can work something out with the Kingfish operation in JM, but in the meantime we will be relying on the usual safety practices of good Mississippians across the entire state.

THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number,  or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

THIS IDIOT NAMED JOHN WASHINGTON KEEPS CALLING ME from this number.  He told me I am a 2nd place winner to receive 1.2 million dollars and a 2011 BENZ car!!!  I asked where I had entered a contest to win this.  He said I was randomly selected from being a shopper at Walmart, Target, and other chain stores.  He wants to ask a few personal "security" questions.  Of course, I gave fake answers.  Then he wants the correct spelling of my name to stamp the check.  Again I gave a false name.  THEN HE SAYS THAT I NEED TO GO TO WALMART & GET A MONEY GRAM FOR $499 TO COVER THE HANDLING CHARGES!!!  He spells the names out how he wants the check made out.  Then he says 2 ladies & a man are going to come to my house and bring my prizes within 30 minutes!!!  THIS GUY IS A SCAM!!!

The usual scam is to have you call back and rack up charges at premium rates on your phone, or you have to pay cash up front to collect your prizes. Scam, scam, scam.

I just got the same call with a similar history. Simply I can`t believe in that. For sure it is fraudulent. I just wonder what is the objective here.

yeah, I had gotten the same call, and assumed it was a foreigner trying to take advantage of people. Identity theft immediately came to mind, so I hung up the phone.  He called back right away and I let it go to voicemail. Do not answer this number!

A man with a heavy accent called claiming I won 1.4 million dollars and  Mercedes Benz. When I kept pressing him for how he got my information, he said it was because I shopped at a Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target or other affiliated large retailers. I told him that I felt like the call was fraudulent, he asked why I was denying this blessing. He then hung up on me.
