yup if you get a call from (876)494-2439 it is a scam

They called from this number and said he was from publisher warehouse.  I asked why were they calling this number.  They reply "would you like us to call your home phone and what is that number"?  I asked to speak to there boss and he changed his voice to imitate a woman. I hung up.....

This call came in while I was away from my phone...no message was left.

They called me in June, I didn't answer & they left no message.

I received a call from this number from an individual claiming to be from the Mega Millions office. He said his name was Richard Salesman. He started by congratulating me and telling me that I had won the Mega Millions $2.5 million jackpot. When I told him I do not play Mega Millions, he had an immediate back up response telling me that I was registered to win the Mega Millions lottery by having shopped at CVS, WalMart or one other store that I cannot recall. He said I was registered by having used my credit card and having provided my phone number at one of these stores.

When asked the name of his business, he gave me several different names. When asked to speak to a manager, he said he was the manager. When asked to research his company, he sent me to the "Better Bureau of Business". the IRS and then the "Better Knowledge of business".

He did not try to obtain any bank account, personal or credit card information. He asked how I wanted to receive the money, when I would like to receive it, if I had a bank account a check could be deposited in, if I would prefer to receive the prize in cash.

The way he gets his money...he requests that you go purchase a Green Dot Money Back Scratch Off Card at CVS or WalMart for $255.18. My guess is that you purchase the card, call him back, transfer the money to him and the deal is done.

Be careful. Very tempting, especially that he is not looking for any personal information.

scam

UPS delivery called 6:50 in the morning.  Woke up my eldery mother, and child.  I am about ready to climb through the phone and wrap the cord around their f ing neck!  If this happens again, I will.
