The FBI is to deliver a Mercedes Benz and that our state had chose our number and our name for a prize, we also got a $5,000.00 for life. We are to go to walgreens and get a greendot money card.
A package code # will be given and a ck#
I need a green dot paper card it needs to be a green in color and we need to have $299.00, and scratch the back of the card off. I am to do nothing till they arrive at my house. Funny thing is this Mr. Brown swears on his child's life that he wouldn't lie to us and he would never put his job on the line.

So Frustrating them works , I went as far as calling them back , I have learned that it is a google voice number. And yes take your time with them . I have found out that telling them that they are in a little room with an old computer sitting on a small chair causes major frustration.

Received a call April 30, 12pm. From a male calling himself "Mike Henry " telling me I won money 550 thousand and a Tahoe truck. Bribed me to send 450 dollars. Through western union. I send it!!!
He called 20 times, sounding convincing . Than May 1, 2pm another male called, demanding 350 dollars. That is when I knew. It was a scam. I end it. Now I am reporting this in. I am an American citizen. I want justice served!!!!

Received a call from a David Snyder from PCH and the better business bureau from 876-598-0538 stating I had won 2.5 million and he needed a green dot money pack for $250. He has been reported to PCH and FTC. Hope they catch this fellow before he really scams some elderly person. I traced him to Claro Jamaica.

Received the same call as Carter. he hung up on me when I started asking him questions. Then I told him this was a SCAM and he hung up. He asked me if I lived in the south and I said nope I live in New York. Either way, I knew he was scamming me. I told him I was getting an investigator from the government to investigate this number and to track it down. The process has begun. When the government get' s involved they will be going down soon!

tattoo, thank you for a GREAT post! If more potential victims displayed this attitude this scam would have died off ages ago.
As I am sure you know, there is never a reason to call back an "876" number these foul smelling chiggers provide. NEVER! Sadly you will discover that the authorities can not/will not do anything to combat these vile creatures. It is up to strong citizens, like us, to locate and exterminate this vermin. When these black stained rodents call again - and they will - please:
1) Answer the phone and try to prolong the call. Ask it to repeat information: its name, its location, etc. The more time it spends talking to you, the less time it has to call other potential victims.
2) Frustrate the caller. If it appears to be in a hurry, talk even more slowly. If it talks slowly, speak rapidly. A frustrated chigger makes mistakes.
3) Determine exactly what information it has about you. Usually it is just your phone number and perhaps your first name. In some cases, these vile creatures DO have most of your personal information. What should you do in that case? Poison their database. "Oh, that is my old address. Here, let me give you my current one." At which point you can provide the address of a vacant lot or maybe the address of your local police station. Use your imagination.
4) Try to extract as much information from it as possible. There are many variants of this scam currently active. If they are using the "Green Dot Card" version you MUST switch them to a different one (suggest sending them a check but compromise on using a "Moneygram.")
5) Record the call and share that information here in this forum. When you post, please include your area code - JUST your area code - along with your posting name.
Thanks

Try to get "Anonymous" to wreak havoc on the mobile cell phone carriers on Jamaica. I'm sure they could hack into the networking and use a number of methods to bring the system down. Apparently, the governments can't handle it. It's up to the good honest people now.

A foreign man called and said I won 2nd place in Clearinghouse Sweepstakes. After about 5 min of listening, he put me on hold and I hung up.

Just had this p.o.s. call me and tell me I had won the pch 2nd place drawing for $850000. When he asks for a green dot card to pay the "taxes" the entertainment began. Knew instantly it was bogus and played along.g to see this guys level of dedication. Gave him an inactivated visa prepay and let my fish run lol. He calked back bout an hour later to inform me the card was not active. I laughed and let him know that he had just tried to hustle a hustler and got punked. He tried to lay line after line to cover his slip up. But end the end utter failure. Hey Mr David brown maybe u should do a lil recon on ur potential victims to find out if u have choose a weak frail old lady as ur target or in fact u stumbled onto a 300 poundvd marine with a real hatred for a sorry scum bag and has no problem counter attacks. Yea boy I'm that guy and if I ever find u I promise on my children ill personally throw u the most sever beating ever known.

He asked if my number was a residence or business and finally said he was calling for Publisher's Clearing House and I said I was expecting a call and couldn't talk.

Received a call (18764961763) on my cell by a Mr. David Brown informing me that I won $850000 and a new Mercedes, plus 5000/week and they are ready to deliver the prize to my house within the hour. He advised me that I need to write down all the info he is going to give me very "official". Right away I sensed that is was a scam.I advised him that I didn't enter any sweepstakes so how could I win.His excuse was that I must have used my Debit/Credit Card at Walmart that's how I supposedly was entered in the sweepstake, my response was I don't even have such cards and he I guess he sensed that he is not going anywhere with me I lost the connection. I have received calls on my home phone before like that and either don't answer or hang up .

It would have been nice if it were real, $8,000 and a car and $5,000 a month for life. I called and reported it to Publishers Clearing House only to find it truly was a scam.
Anyone who believes they have been the victim of a fraudulent contact using the name of Publishers Clearing House, may contact their fraud department at their toll-free number 1-800-392-4190

SCAM! Number's listed as Publishers Clearing House! Notify PCH if you were caught/almost caught in a scam by this number: 1-800-392-4190 My grandmother received a call from this number, a foreign guy talking (DO NOT TRUST) and they said she won $5,000 from Publishers Clearing House. They asked for her to pay a fee by going to Walmart to send a moneygram to Western Union. If they ask to pay a fee for something you won, it's obviously an automatic scam. My grandmother's smart. Links: How are PCH winners notified? http://pch.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_ ... vemZUenBMa2w%3D I was asked to pay a fee to claim my prize. Was this PCH? http://pch.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_ ... vemZUenBMa2w%3D

I just had this call on my cell phone and since it said Jamaica and a number I wasn't familiar with I didn't answer. After reading some posts, I'm glad I didn't answer. I'm reporting this as spam.
