don't care how many are being called -- what can we DO about it? who to report to?
Just called me telling me I won a lottery for $750,000 and a new MB vehicle. Wanted me to call 876-877 8675 to confirm at ext 3311 and gave me a lottery winning number and a package number to boot.
At the end of the call he asked what I was going to do when I hung up the phone (in order to insure I would make the call) and I told him I was calling the police - he just disconnected the call.
Stopscammersnow, sadly you are quite correct: the authorities can not/ will not do anything to solve this problem and the "Do Not Call List" is useless in trying to combat these black stained rodents from Jamaica. It is up to us to exterminate this vermin. We must continue to be aggressive, offensive and relentless in our tactics!
I was first contacted by these filthy, little animals, when I received a call from a "John Baker" (last week's call was from a chigger calling itself, "James Faulkner.") In any event, this "John" was calling to tell me I had won 2.5 million dollars from "Mega Millions" in Las Vegas. It instructed me to get a Green Dot Money card from CVS, load it with $499.25 to pay for my "registration fees." A few days after this call, I was shocked to see this particular scam featured on ABC World News. During that segment, they played the audio of a conversation between an elderly woman - who had already sent them $85,000 - and one of these vile creatures.
When these roaches call again - which they will - please record the call and share your information in this forum. When you post please include your area code - JUST your area code - along with your posting name. Thanks.
I TO HAVE GOT THESE CALL IT WAS FROM A OMAR MASON AND THE NUMBER WAS 8763965022 SO BE CAREFUL FOR THIS ONE TO
I too recieved calls from 1-876-393-6823. I won a Lamborghini and 250,000. from Publishers clearing house! All I had to do is run to walmart purchase a money card and give them the card info so that taxes are paid. I told the gentleman that Publishers clearing house dosent require winners to purchase anything from retail outlets to claim prizes. Then Told him to indentify me since i had won, a Name or address would do. I stopped recieving calls from him. Be Aware of this scam. the promises change but the game is the same.
The number that called me was 876-367-1843.It was a lady by the name of Samantha Coleman. She called me and said I have won 8000,000 dollars and a new 2012 Mercedes Benz. She said all I would have to do is get to my local Walmart or CVS and get a green dot scratch card and tell the teller I wanted to put 100 dollars on this card. Now I never knew that this was a scam so me being stupid went put the money on the card. So they of course took the money off the card. I got screwed out of 100 dollars. The three ladies that I spoke to had no acient what so ever they sounds from America. I thought it was real until I did some reasearch on the situation. They called me one more time and I called her out on her scam and she hung up on me and I never heard from that lady again I feel so stupid but I will never fall for that ever again! Thank you for posting all your situations on this site, this helped me out a bunch
You mean you're only going to let her steal $1300???
A Michelle called me from an unknown number telling me to send $1,500 to list a property I own in Jamaica by using a GreenDot card to load the money. I bargained her down to $1,300 and told her I can come up with it on Friday. I'll let you know how it goes. Check them out on YouTube to hear some of the things they say and beware.

trying to scam me now
the number I was called from is 876-586-3581
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. It is amazing what people will do to scam others, but there are a small percentage of the population that will always try to find ways to victimize others. I have investigated numerous cases of this nature to include small household pets, furnitures, cars, lottery, etc.. you name the situation and the thieves have more than likely used it. The police/ government agencies do NOT have the time to place emphasis on these investigations. To find out who made the call, who received the money, etc.. will take numerous search warrants for records/etc.....Most of these cases lead to dead ends and even if the police can identify an individual or individuals responsible for the crime in a foreign land, not much can be done to these criminals. I hope this message can reach to a large number of audience and especially the elderly.
Mary, I am glad I read your post, along with http://scamjammers.blogspot.com/. Please check out this link in which Son of Scam relates his story & how he eventually had to take over his father's finances. My father is in the same situation, but only 3 wks into it. He's already lost about $4,500 & thinks James Washington is the "most honest" of these guys. He talks to him on the phone as though he's a friend, & I lost it this weekend! It is the first time in his marriage of 35 years that he's hidden something so big from my mother & I really feel like he's got an addiction. I hope that he doesn't go as far as Son of Scam's father, but now I am "armed & ready." I do wish you & your family the best of luck with this & again, urge you to read the above blog; it was good!
My father has been going back & forth with three Jamaican scammers that are probably all working together, but playing "good cop, bad cop" in order to keep him talking & even TRUSTING them! It is the typical Jamaican scam that has been posted all over the internet... You've won so many millions of dollars & a car. But, you have to send money to them in order to get the prize. When my father sent some money, they said they were coming, but that Customs needed some money & that the prize money was accumulating more taxes. My dad's cell phone is under my plan, & our bill was wracked up with international phone calls, as he had been calling them...they told him that the phone number was toll free... The numbers are from Jamaica, & are definitely NOT free calls! I had no idea that this was all going on until I received my bill which was double the usual amount. I have since blocked the following numbers from being able to call any of the numbers on my phone plan. Unfortunately, my father has them calling his house, too. I'll probably be taking care of that soon, too... Anyways, here's the numbers to watch out for! One is from Canada, & had called him just days before the Jamaican numbers... Not sure if they're connected, but scams either way. The names these men give out are Norman Jones, James Washington, & James White. Mr. Washington is the supposed "supervisor" of the group which claim to be from American Direct sweepstakes, but claimed they were from Reader's Digest when my mother answered the phone early on. They are usually "on the road" so don't have access to talk to others, but Norman slipped when I got on the phone with him & admitted that they worked out of an apartment. They all have Jamaican accents, so it's not hard to spot they they're not really calling from the US. There's also a lot of noises in the background as though they're outside or in a house with children. Whatever you do, please DO NOT SEND MONEY to anyone claiming you've won a prize. The IRS will take it out of the prize money BEFORE it is sent to you & they WILL NOT be coming from overseas. These people are cons, thieves, & the money they get from the scammed probably goes to the drugs & weapons trade, which ultimately funds terrorism & human trafficking!
My father is being scammed by a Jamacian callers claiming he has won money but needs to first wire money to Jamaica in order to claim his money. They say they will meet him in Toledo, Ohio after he wires the 1000 dollars but he never gets the money. This has been going on for over a year and they never stop calling him and he feels they are his friends. They have changed his phone number three times so they are the only ones to have access to his number. We had the local police involved and he still thinks he is winning over a million dollars. Any idea how to end this? Thanks

He has harrassed her for going on 2 years off and on. I have called him and now he states he is going to fax me the infomation. He is a lier and cheat and I too have had it. send them a virus or chicken pox or anthrax or something that will make them really wish they would leave US alone, in a letter with a 5 or 10$ bill covered in it. Give them a tase of justice.

people from these phone numbers have called me claiming I have won millions of dollars and a car. I don't believe them. I believe they are scammers. 1-876-309-8981,1-876-573-0155,1-855-410-3569,1-876-284-5872,876-454-3497 I believe these are scam artists numbers they claim I have won a prize and millions of dollars. I don't believe them. I read that these people calling from these numbers take advantage of the elderly people and they try to get people to send them thousands of dollars in order to claim the prizes they supposedly won. someone should stop these scam artists so they can't take advantage of any other old or disabled people. thanks from APRIL D
mY MOM HAS SEND THOUSANDS OFF TO A LADY NAMED GEORGIA, CLAIM SHE HAS won the lottery.. figuered by now she would realize she isnt getting any money...!!!!!!!!!!!!
You Didn't Fool Me
Rose Brown uses this number along with others from Jamaica to con our elderly out of all of their hard earned money they worked all of their life for. She has no hart. She just keeps taking and taking until they have no more money or will to live.
How she and the others that she associates with sleep at night is beyond me. I hope she is living well there in Jamaica with all of the money she has stolen from the elderly.
Find out their address and mail them a letter bomb!
I have a family member that is currently being harrassed by these jerks. They are rude, disgusting, filthy talking crooks. I laugh at them every time that I get a chance, telling them that they are wasting their time, and that I am tracing their call. I give it right back to them...getting them so frustated that they hang up and wait to call back AFTER I am gone. I personally believe that our government is not doing their job protecting our elderly citizens! These Jamaicans even stole my father-n-laws identity! They have charged thousands to his credit cards. It is unbelievable!!
get these calls constantly,,have been given addresses to some guy in washington(google maps shows his house,he needs to water his grass,,lol),or a casino,or the lawn adjacent to a motel,,one guy even gave me the address to city hall,,the last one just gave me as the corporate address,,a trailer park in Michigan,,too funny
REMEMBER THIS PLEASE!!! IF YOU HAVE TO PAY A 'FEE' TO RECEIVE YOUR WINNINGS, YOU SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY KNOW IT IS A SCAM!!
ALFRED JAMIESON and ROSE MARIE REID want $160.00 because I won $5 million dollars and a mercedes benz! LOL Did you know that Rose Marie Reid is actually a 1956 swimwear designer?! LOL What a crock of $#*@! But now they won't stop calling me! AAGGHH
