David Sawyer is still out there scamming people.  Yesterday, I received a check in the mail for $6818.50.  The envelope was from Select Insurance Group, it was mailed from Canada.  The check appears to be written from Krogers(supermarket chain) as their logo was on it and the bank is PNC in Jeanette PA.  The letter says to call Michael Gunt and give a number, but that number, of course, isn't accepting any calls.  I starting looking around the Internet and found similar scams  with his name all over them and called some of the numbers I found.  I called 516-350-6762, a Nassau Cty number.  I was greeted with "Hello."  I asked, "Is this Publisher's Clearing House?"  Him: Yes.     Me: Is this the fraud division?  Him: Yes.   Me: I'd like to report a fraudulent check and a scam involving your company.  Him:  What's your name?  Me:  What's your name?  Him: David Sawyer.  Me:  Well David, I won't be giving you my name as you didn't answer the phone in a professional manner and I am not confident I'm speaking to someone from PCH.  He went on to explain that if I've received a check then it's legitimate and he will give me number to call and to enter the confirmation number into the phone, etc...  I told David I was on to him.  I told him he's been reported to the policy and they are very close to finding him.  I kept him on the phone.  I called him several times after that. He finally disconnected the phone number, but it was working again an hour later.  I kept annoying him.  He then called me from a land line in Jamaica 876-366-1074.  He was pissed off to say the least.  I think I'll just keep calling that number too.  Reported this to the police.

I'm still getting calls from these people, I'm waiting for Dave Sawyer to call me yet tonight. I was told I won a Benz, 2.5 million, and 570,000.00. They were suppose to be here by 3 pm didn't show, so they keep calling and promising me this isn't a scam, cuz I keep telling them I think this is a scam. Let's see what happens when I don't answer the phone now.

SO WHEN I WAS ASKING QUESTIONS ON HOW THEY GOT MY NUMBER THE MAN SAID FROM A WALMART DRAWLING IN THE STATE OF TX. I NEVER ENTERED NO DRAWLING ESP NOT FROM WALMART. SO I KNOW THAT WAS A LIE, SAYING HIS NAME IS RICHARD WILLIAMS HIS NUMBER IS 1-876-568-4606 AND HE HIS WITH MEGA MILLIONS. TOLD ME TO CLAIM MY PRICE I WOULD NEED TO SEND IN 1,000 DOLLARS WESTERN UNION TO A NAME DONNA JACKSON ADDRESS 501 WATSON DRIVE SOUTH BEND, IN 56601. I TOLD HIM I WILL NOT SEND MY MONEY TO ANYONE UNLESS I SEE PROOF OF SOME SORT, SO HE SAID HE WILL FAX OVER ALL THE PAPER WORK. NOT EVEN 5 MINS LATER HE CALLED BACK SAYING THE FAX MACHINE WAS SAYING BUSY, AND HE PROMISES ITS NOT A SCAM.. I TOLD HIM I CALLED THE COPS AND THIS CALL IS BEING RECORDING, SO IF HE CAN SATE HIS NAME AGAIN AND WHO IS CALLING IN BEHALF AND THE MAN HUNG UP!!!!!! SUCH A SCAM!!!! BUT SCARY HOW HE HAD MY INFO!!!!    

I got a call this morning from David Sawyer saying I won $1.5 million and a Mercedes, gave me a confirmation number and told me to call 866-996-5997. It prompted me to enter the conf number and I entered a made up number. It told me that I should take my "invitation" to the welcome center to claim my prize. "David" told me that a crew would be coming to my house at noon today to present my prize. I told my husband to call the cops if someone shows up at our house.

Received a call today from Jamaica number 8762775453 and apparently I have 5 million dollars and a black Mercedes Benz with chrome rims waiting on......didn't sound legit at all until he gave me a number to call with a confirmation number to enter and told me to Confirm my prize which I did so then I was thinking we'll maybe.....but then for whatever reason he tells me to Google his name so I know that he is legit only when I Google David sower I get a page full of scam reports so either he is now just doing this for s**** and giggles or he is the dumbest con man ever either way he ain't getting my 199 western union ed to him sorry David

I recieved a call today from a Dave sawyer from publishing clearing house telling me I won a mercedes, and one million dollars. Watch out, the number is 876 5674278.

I got same call and three different people kept calling back yelling give me your card number the number they use are 518 615 7605   866 996 5997 876 278 9458

I literally just recieved the same call 10 minutes ago from "David sawyer" same number but I found it odd that he had a Indian accent so he said I received 1.5 Million dollars and a new Mercedes S class (I actually entered in PCH so I thought it may be true) I then found it odd when he proceeded to say they already paid the taxes to the IRS for the money but the only thing it didn't cover was the delivery cost of $299 of the Mercedes and in order to receive the check at 10AM (he called at 7:30AM) I would have to purchase a green dot card and call him back with the money info I then told him I'm unemployed with 2 small children awaiting brain surgery so I don't have that type of money nor do I have anyone to get the money from he was very insistant to find a way to get the money even going to my bank and get a loan. He told me to do that get in the shower drink a cup of coffee and get dressed nice and look amazing because a tv crew was coming and there'd be lots of pictures taken but after he asked me when I'd have the money ready by I said it was impossible for me to get it and he told me he'd have to call me back. I'm glad as soon as I got off the phone I looked in google but honestly if I had the money I probably would have done it. After I wake back up sense he woke me up so early I'm going to report it.

Got a call this morning saying I won $10 million from PHC.  Knew it was a scam and played along for a minute.  When said I did not enter PCH, lady said I won from Power Ball.  When I said I did not enter Power Ball, she said I won $10 million from Mega Ball.  This could have gone on and on, but wanted to go back sleep, so just hung up.  Was this a dream?  Ha! Ha!

This happened to me too.  My phone said the call was from JM Kingston (I don't know anyone by that name). He told me I won $1.5million from Publishers Clearinghouse.  I kept my cool as I knew it was a scam.  I said, "You mean someone's going to come in my driveway with balloons and a big check?"  He said "Yes."   He wanted me to give him an account number from my bank.  I kept making him repeat what he wanted, telling him I had a hearing problem just so he would have to stay on the line longer, he must've gotten scared I may be tracing his call, so he hung up on me.  NEVER give your personal information on the phone.  

It sure would'a been nice if it were for real........

Received same story from David Sawyer of PCH-I just purchased this new phone yesterday so I immediately knew this was fraud.

Didn't answer, but it showed as "Jamaica". I don't know anybody there, so guessing it's a scammer.

Just received a call from this number, british accent telling me they were trying to deliver the check I won.  I hang up and called my carrier to report the call.   Too old to be fooled by these scam artists.

Same call, same guy...  I guess I asked too many questions because we got disconnected.  He would never hang up would he?  After all I won...didn't I? lol

David Sawyer also called me about winning 1.5million  Very convincing dialog. Wanted me to go to Walmart to get some sponsor cards. Told him I would go (ya right). He kept welcoming me to financial freedom!!! Very persistent, called me back in 20 minutes and also called my cell phone (a number that is new and that I did not give him). A quick google confirmed it was fraud. I'll report the number and the call to the PCH fraud division on Monday when they open. I work for public safety, my colleagues in the RCMP may find this particular fraud interesting as it seems to have local people involved somehow.

THEY ASKED THAT WE MEET THEM AT THE JEROME IDAHO WALMART, SAYING THEY HAD THE NEWS, FLOWERS, THE MAYOR, THE FBI, THE BBB AND THE BANK OF AMERICA THERE WAITING FOR ME. THEY SAID CALL WHEN YOU ENTER THE PARKING LOT....SO WE DID.......THEN WE WERE TOLD TO GO IN THE STORE AND BUY A GREEN 3 DOT MONEY PACK AND PUT 600 DOLLARS ON IT THEN CALL THEM WHEN I WALK OUT OF THE STORE... (WE DID NOT)....

yelp i just won the PCH contest but they weren't going to come to my house like they usually do on TV.. Odd when they stop doing so, David then hung up on me

im rich - just got a call from Jamica form David saying i won pulishers clearing house sweepstakes.. all i need to do is go to walmart and obtain money cards put my bank info on it so they can load it with my winnings.. woohoo

"David" called to inform me I won a Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes. I live on an island. I'm pretty sure PCH only does sweepstakes in the continental US. "David" also needed me to wire money, as I was apparently informed in one of the many letters I received informing me of my win. When I asked why he was calling me from an international number, and for the name of his shift supervisor so I could confirm with PCH's national hotline that this is not a scam, he hung up. Needless to say, it's a scam.

A man claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House.  He wanted me to go to the nearest Walmart or CVS and purchase "Sponsor Cards" equal to $1000.00.  When I asked for his name and phone number so that I may verify with Publishers Clearing House he hung up.

This was a scam call from someone claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House.
