My mom was just scammed out of $40,000 without my dad knowing. The numbers they used were:
876-249-6613
876-301-8624
876-356-7354
876-285-3621

An obvious scam. Get international calling and call these creeps relentlessly just like they did my mom and play the scam on them. Funny how fast they get upset and start mother f'ing you.

I had 7 missed calls from this number, and when I was finally able to answer, I listened to his spill about what I had won.... I told him that he must have bumped his head if he thought I was falling for his scam, and then I spent the next 10 minutes in a cussing match with him..... I was appalled at the vulgar language he used... And then my husband called him and told him he had missed a call from that number..... He says his name is John Williams.... My husband asked him to spell Williams..... He says Wliealims.... Not only are they scammers.... They are illiterate!  They have called my number 2 more times, and I answer the phone as....Police Department... How can I help you? And I haven't gotten any more calls.   I filed a police report, and the cop taking the report said he had gotten the same call.... The problem is..... These people know there are no consequences, so they will never stop

I have another one of their tactics for others to be aware of.  I received a call from 876-581-6242 on 19 September 2012 at 8:56 am Hawaii Standard Time.  I answered the phone, which is listed under my husband's name not mine.  The caller was a male, who I will refer to as "Scammer" from now on.  Also, the phone service/connection/reception seemed to have quite a bit of static.

Scammer  did not claim that he was from a particular company nor did he provide a name.  Scammer merely asked for my father.  I have been told I sound young, so Scammer may have thought I was a minor.  Also, I have not lived with my father for twenty years.

I offered to leave a message for my father.  My intent was to determine the nature of the call.  The Scammer asked for my age.  I asked why.  Scammer claimed that it was to leave his message with me.  I determined Scammer was lying to me, so I hung up on him.

I never provide any information to anyone who calls me unless I am familiar with the caller.  If I am contacted by phone from a legitimate business but I need to be certain, I tell the caller that I will return the call when it is convenient for me.

I just got a call from this number. 876-581-6242... Said he was calling form Publishers Clearing house, but first asked me if I ever recieved a call from them before. I said no  then he proceeded to tell me I won 850k and something else, ( forgot what the something else was ). He then started to ask he some personal questions. I interrupted him asking him why he didnt know my name already,  so he asked me  "are you the owner of this phone number?".  I told him  I was but he should know who I am since I supposedly won all this cash. He then hung up. I knew the second he started talking it was a load of bull.

This morning, my elderly, disabled father received a call from this number 876-581-6242 (Jamaica) stating that he'd won Publishers Clearinghouse MegaMillions. The call was a little garbled, and he's hard of hearing, but what he understood was that a Brinks armored truck was on the way to our house with his certified check. He had a confirmation number from "Matthew Goldberg", so he was convinced that $15 million was his!

I wasn't home when he got the call, so I was worried about him and worried that someone was on the way to my house to rob us and hurt him in the process. Over and over he assured me that he hadn't given the man any personal information or our address. I tried gently to persuade him that it was probably a hoax, but he had faith. Sadly, he was still sitting on the front porch waiting for the armored truck when I got home from work 6 hours later. At that time, he showed me the phone number and the confirmation number, and with more questioning, he admitted that through the static he thinks he heard something about "Western Union" and "$495". By this time his hope was gone, and he felt duped and depressed. For someone who has nothing, the promise of $15 million coming his way was too good not to believe. Fortunately, my father didn't lose any money in this scam, but he did lose a little of his faith in life.

The caller claimed he was from Publishers Clearinghouse and told me that I had won a lottery.  He asked me my age and I told him I was interested and hung up.  Definitely a scam!

He called from Publishers Clearinghouse in Los Angeles and that I won $2.5 million from a Hawaii raffle.  I wanted to verify that I did win a raffle from Publishers Clearinghouse.  And then he hung up.  Interesting because the last time I looked up this area code, I saw Jamaica.  Raffles aren't legal in Hawaii either.  Yep, another scam.

definitly a scam. The claler calls claiming to be from the publishers cleraing house. but did not even know my address considering i am register with them. Her claimed i won a grand prize and a free car. and told me i won beouse the state i live in had so many winners even though my number is registered in that state but i dont live there. Then he tried to get me to give him my vredit card or bank information so he could verify me as the winner.

How dumb am i, they messed up at the start by not knowing where i live or my name. Watch out definitly a scam.

Remeber if you win something you actualy had to register so they should already know you info.

Got called by them today.  They're using a computerized voice on the phone to disguise the agent's voice.  Definitely not calling.  Now, if we could just report the number to some authority!
