Same thing happened to me! A guy named David Brown called me and said I won 850k and a Benz. Jokes on him! I live in the desert in the west where nobody gets lucky. Scammers these days.

I got mail from PENN Capital mangaement Inc., Windsor, CA. It says I won 45,000 USD. They even sent me a very official looking check ofr 4,500 USD. But one catch, call Jeff Scott 1-416-838-3152 before I hurry to the bank. I knew right away, this is a scam. Threw it all away.

Got a call saying I won $500,000 through mega million by being customer of cvs. Name was Dale Jefferson. Told me to go to Walgreen to purchase $150 scratch off card and call them back. It's most definitely a scam

Well. . . the laughs are over when you get your next phone bill. By calling 1-876 you have called the Caribbean Island of Jamaica. So it's International rates on your next phone bill. There is currently a scam going on to get people to call back Caribbean Countries. The crooks get you to call - they get a cut. Always a good idea to check a number, you do not know, before calling it back.

I just got a call from an 876 number saying it was publishers clearing house and that I won a check and a car and I needed to call another 876 number and make sure I don't tell anyone, I called just to see what they would say and he told me I needed to give him all my info, full name ( really if I had won something wouldn't they at least have my name). And ask me for my address and I just hung up at that point. Wow you would think they would have it together a little more if they are going to scam someone.

I received a similar call. The guy on the line told me I had won 2.5 million and 2 Mercedes from publishers cleaning house. According to him I was entered by shopping at Walmart, which I had not done. He then proceeded to describe my house (a picture from google earth) including the cars google earth showed in the driveway! All I had to do was go to walmart for a $100 card. I asked for information I could use to verify him online to prove it wasn't a scam and he disconnected. It freaked me out, he described my home!!!!

A guy called from 876-585-7578 and said I won first prize...8.5 million dollars and a car. He said someone was waiting for me in my town up north. Im down south dumb a**. If I want some stranger looking for me then I'll just want around at night with my money out. Try a different scam dummies. Oh and it would only cost $250 on a pre paid card.

yes , i got it took for more than i care to advertise ---there is a new scam  on from the same people  however ---PENN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT INC ---PO BX 922 --WINDSOR --ONTARIO --CANADA ---  you have a person to  call to varify a JEFF SCOTT --a phone number of 416-879-2240 ---i receaved a 4,000.00 check --i finally ---after the call ---put it in the bank ---i let it set there for several days before i spent some of it ---however i moved just a few hours too soon and im paying the price now ----i believe i also have a private number ----876-294-1397 to a MR RICHMAN if your interested -----asking GODS protection for you ----

My wife received the same call and she put us on 3 way I told him to f off. Then yeasterday he calls me saying he works for the United postal service and I had won 1.5 mil and my check was is storage in my town, I am a delivery driver so I asked for the address and he came close but not the right address,  told him to do his research before he calls someone smarter than him. He told me flat out that he was a scam artists and I was so lucky he couldn't get my info, NOT MUCH OF A SCAM ARTISTS HERE.

Same deal. Money and mercedes. Said he was mr mcdonald. (Eieio). Thick jamaican accent. I get more of these since I got on the do not call list than before. Sorry, can't give you his number. Came up restricted.

I got a call from 876-423-9454 (Jamaica) saying I won 850,000 dollars and a new Mercedes and at first I was like wow this is awesome then he told me I had to go buy a money pack and too hurry up cause they were 45 min away and after that I knew it was b***s*** so I wanted to f*** with him a little bit. I told him to call me back in 40 min and im going to go get all this stuff he calls me back 40 min later and he asks if I bought the money pack and where I was at. and I said no not yet im waiting in line to buy it and wont be back in time to receive package and he says that's ok they are still 45 min away. hahah yeah right like there actually coming. so then I tell him I wont buy this until I receive my winnings and he says it doesn't work like that blah blah blah. so I tell him I will call him back in 5 min. I call him back acting as a police officer saying that we are going to trace this number and then he all of the sudden hung up haha what d bag. then I called him about 40 times and left him 40 5 min voicemails just to f*** with him( I had nothing better to do at that moment haha) but anyway long story short don't give in to these b*****ds  

Just got a call from this number 1-876-291-5409 about that 850,000 and mercedes benz but im for sure it has to be a scam,the guys named was mr.anderson so he said tried to get me to money gram to someone named loretta lewis so ive been reading peoples comments and all the stories seem to match so thanks for this website...

Yeah the one who called me was named James Clark he told me that I needed to pay 125 for towing fees so they could delivered my 2013 denali and 850000 check I have been thru so much this past year it is unreal so I was excited that maybe good luck was on m side for a change so I went and got it then he called me and told me that I needed to get 200 more to pay the IRS for two gold stamps to put on the check I sent it in then he said I needed 100 more to pay for the gold seal so I could cash the check I sold my crap car hoping that I was getting a better one I told them they weren't getting another red cent from me. He assured that I won I told him I wanted it delivered to my home or give me back my money he said that he is 25 miles from my house if I get him another green dot card he will meet me at Walmart I asked him how will I get there I lost my car he said get a friend to take me I told him I have two disabled person in my home and I need my car they do not care I told him if I could see his face I would punch it

It's a scam!  I got the same call.  2.5 million dollars and to go and get a green dot card.  His name was Kevin Brown and he claimed to work fro Publishers Clearing House.  Kevin Brown with a clear Indian or Middle Eastern accent!!  I played along for a bit to see what info I could get.  I continued to question him and he got mad and told me to get off his phone. LOL!!  Terrible effort at a scam!!

It's a scam, no lottery requires you to pay fees of any kind to collect winnings,  Any taxes owed to IRS or the state are automatically deducted from the winnings.  Besides, why would a US lottery company use Jamaicans calling from Jamaica to award your prize?

I got a call today from 876-384-4164 saying i had won 2.5 million dollars and all i needed to do was get a green dot money pak paper card for 250 dollars. They would start the process of getting my winnings and the remainder of my info for transfer of funds. If i won then cool, but I don't wanna get scammed too. My winnings were supposedly from a lottery from Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, and ATT.

Callers name was James Jefferson his phone number was 876-529-2502.  He told me the same thing as all the others about being the winner of 650,00 and a 2013 Red Class C Benz.  He told me he was from the Megger Million Lottery Sweepstakes.  He instructed me to go to Walmart and get a Green Dot Money Pack Pay Pal Card for 399.00 and not to say anything to the cahier about me winning this prize over 850,000.  I did not go to Walmart because I thought this was a scam.  Thank goodness I did not.  He then kept calling me about 6 times after that until I finally sent him a text telling him God will punish you for this and that I recorded the whole conversation that he and I had and I had already given it to the police.  He has not called back again.. Be ware!!!

I have been recieving phone calls from this man named Milton Jackson first number was from 1(876)585-7453 then another number 1(876)282-2974. He said I won 2.5 million a benz and live money today of $10,000 I would get from western union today. He even gave me a money control number and a 1(800) 325-6000, which is a western union number. When I called the number it said I had money but whe I talked to someone on live chat and live on the phone they said I have no money. The trick was I had to go to walmart get a greendot card with $50 on it and I would call them and be able to get my money. They never told to give them money.

a man called and said he was from megger millions and that i had won third place of 250,000. when i started questioning him he became upset and said that his company had been around for 110 years. i hung up, he called right back, started calling me names. he kept calling back till i threatened him with the police.

he said i was entered in the contest by shopping at walmart, walgreens or cvc, and wanted me to get a prepaid money card, this was when i started qeustioning him.

Got a call from 876-585-0755 "Tim McCarthy". Was told I won 385,000 from Publishers Clearinghouse. To claim the prize I must go to WalMart, CVS, or Walgreens and buy a gift card for $285.00 and give him the PIN number. What a SCAM!

Got a call informing me that I had won 850K and how did I feel after learning this. Told him I was skepitcal as I didn't enter sweepstakes of any kind. He told me I was entered by paying my bills and shopping at walmart/cvs/ or walgreens. He asked me again how I felt and I told him I didn't buy it? He asked me to get a clean sheet of paper take some info and I asked him why I needed info from them and he promptly hung up.....

Caller said I won $850,000.  Yada yada yada.  I received this call on my cell phonr.  Caller could not tell me who I was when I asked.  I knew this was a scam.  Told caller he was a scam and hung up.

I received a phone call from american cash awards telling me i just won 850.000 and asked me my address and how many kids i have and my age. then gave me a tracking number and a certified pin # and told me not to let anyone see it his name is Michael Smith and he said he is a senior acct. They said someone is going to call back in about 45 min to an hour. Now since i have read all these other scams i'm pretty confident that this is also a scam.

They called me on my cell phone and told me congratulations on winning $2.5 Million from the Publisher's Clearinghouse for being a customer at Walgreen's, Walmart, or CVC. They told me to go to either Walgreens or Walmart to buy a Money Pak card for $499.99 without asking any questions , then call them when in private scratch off the 14 digit number and give them the numbers for delivery costs! I called our local police and they said it was a scam! :/ They reassured me several times that it wasn't a scam!!! :(
