Private number calling.  Readers Digest sweepstakes selected my entry.  I said I didn't make one, he said "oh, it was from a few months ago, you probably forgot."  I said ok, well then you have my address right, I told him I just moved (lie) and want to make sure he has the right one.  "Oh, well I have it, just not right in front of me."  Ok, well why did you call from a private number?  "Oh, well we are having trouble with the phone lines, it's being fixed."  Right.............what a douche.

Received call from a restricted number.  "David" said he was calling from Mega Millions to inform me that I won 2.5 million dollars.  It was a terrible connection and I couldn't understand him very well.  I asked for a number to call him back and he provided 876-589-0851, said he was calling from Fairbanks Alaska.   The connection was lost at that point.

They told me I won anywhere from $3m to $5m from the government. when I laughed and asked how to collect they told me I had to pay just 1% of the taxes up front and it was mine to keep!
I told them I would do them one better, I said I would sign a document giving them 50% of the money as tax or whatever, ONCE I get it! They declined and told me they must receive my cashiers check first. I hung up.
