Got a call from them on February 27, 2014 saying I'd been selected at random by the government winning 1.5 million dollars and a 2014 black Mercedes Benz and he was in Clarksville Tennessee. The first time I hung up because it didn't say where the call was from, but he called back and it said Jamaica so I called him out on it and preceded to tell him take them both and shove them up his a**. Upon which he hung up.

Received call today at 11:45 a.m. from 876-816-4440.   Man's voice was muffled.  Told me he had a package to deliver and all I needed to give him was a certified cashier's check.  I hung up but jotted down the number.  Obviously some type of scam.  Beware.  The caller ID came up as "Shared Exch".  

The same number 876-816-4440 called me @ 6:30pm EST saying I had won a 2014 car and $100,000 from Publisher's Clearing House. He had a Jamaican accent. I told him I hadn't played in over 10 yrs, @ which point he told me it didn't matter when I had played. He stated the call was monitored and recorded for security puposes and all conversations were listened to by the IRS. I advised him I was very skeptical of this and asked for all of the information in wirting. He said he could email or fax me the info. I could hear street noises in the background (people talking, traffic, ect). I told him that I couldn't afford the taxes on the car and the winnings. He then said I wouldn't have to pay the taxes until I received the money. He also said I would need photo ID and a card with $455 on it. I knew this was a scam from the very beginning, but wanted to gather as much info as possible. First of all.. the man never verified who was speaking with. Why would he provide a confirmation # and ask for a card # without ever verifying who he was speaking with? He did not ask or say my name... just started spouting info. I've managed more than 1 professional call center and there are some facts I want to state: the caller should always know who they are calling, they will be in an office setting not sitting on a busy street, will know their product or why they are calling. Everyone please beware of this scheme and use ur best judgement. Never ever provide your card information to anyone calling you claiming u have won something.. u shudnt have load money onto a card to get ur "winnings".

The same person James more has been calling today in 12/31/13 trying all the same stuff to my cousin it's a bunch of bs

I recieved a call om 11/13/13 from Jamaica from 1-876-816-4440  from a man named Mr. James Moore. He said he was a representative from Publishers Clearing House and he even gave me his badge # 2285FB. He said a needed to be home to recieve my price and then gave me a number to call and confirmed that I recieved it. Obviously this is a scame! I could barely understand what he was saying! Pleople be ware!

querried the phone number some more, they are both landlines for Kingston Jamaica,, this is a telephone scheme targetted to people in their late 50's and up.

i received a call on 4/17/2013 at noon on the dot. from a person calling themselves James Washington a delivery truck driver for U.P.S. telling me i won 750k US dollars and a new 2013 mercedes convertible. his voice was muffled and distorted like he was using a voice changer device. he gave me a number 1-876-386-2384, for what was supposedly Publishers Clearing House office to confirm a delivery and schedule a time and date for it to be delivered. after calling the number given and listening to the two people there, the receptionist and manager( William Anderson), it became clear that the people were all the same. they are running a scam wanting people to load money onto cash cards then give them all the card information. i went a long with it for a while to garner as much information to post online about this to help others. i hope that this does help someone.

Person with Jamaican accent stated that he was calling to deliver package to me.  I heard a baby (infant) crying in the background.  The person stated that he was calling from customs (in New York) to deliver a package.
