I was conted and a foreign person said I won the publishing clearing house sweepstake along with  a 2011 benz. this is a hoax. whenever you see this number 1-876-842-1979 please do not respond.

I received the exact same call on Friday, Aug 19th.  He said I had an unclaimed prize from Publisher's Clearing House.  He said I won 2.5 million dollars and a Mercedes Benz.  All I had to do was go to CVS and buy a green money pack card for $500 to claim my prize.  I told him I knew this was a scam. Today, Aug 22nd, when I got home from work, I had a voice message from him asking if I had purchased the $500 green money pack card.  He left the callback number of 876-856-1270 and 876-842-1979.  He said his associate, Raymond, could be at my house within 2 hours to deliver my prizes.

We received a call from this number.  The person calling said his name was Dave.  He had a Jamaican accent.  Said he was calling from Publisher's Clearing House.  He said we won 2.5 million dollars and a Mercedes Benz.  He said the check and car would be delivered today.  BUT we had to go someplace and by a card for $500, then come back (I guess) and present the card to him.  This is a scam.  We asked him "if we won, why are we paying".  We told him we would be contacting the BBB and Publisher's Clearing House notifying them of the scam.  I just noticed the call was from Jamaica.  When I asked him where he was calling from he said Pennsylvania.  When I told him I was from PA and told him there was no such area code there, he refused to speak with me and only wanted to speak with my husband.    PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM!!
