Got a call from James Jefferson, saying that I won 2nd place prize from Publisher's Clearinghouse for $750,000 cash and a S-Class Mercedes. (All tax free, by the way...) He said that all I needed to do was purchase a green dot money back card at a local Walgreens or CVS store ($455 card that would be reimbursed back to me??). Then, he told me to call him back after I purchased the card, so that he could send my new S-Class Mercedes (to be delivered in a brown & white truck) and that Ms. Gefflyer Davis and Mr. Bobby Johnson would be presenting me with my check + flowers and champagne. All I would need to do to claim my money was to show my driver's license and the Green dot money back card.
It sounded fishy so I called Publisher's Clearing House and they told me that is a scam so they reported them to the Fed Trade Commission.
Scammers are getting pretty tricky....Watch Out! They might have tried to rob me!

Just got the call from "James Jefferson". If only it were true. Never accept the fact that you have to pay to get a prize.$500,000.00 Cert. cashiers check, $25,000.00 in cash, plus the 2011 car., gas card for 6 months, tax free. Too good to be true. Trust your gut and don't fall for this since the phone number comes from Jamaica. Called my local police and they called the number and they hung up. That tells it is a scam.
Got a call from Mr. James Jefferson with Grand American Winners, Inc. in Seattle, WA. The "good news" is that I have won $500,000 and a new 2011 Mercedes. All I have to do is send $175 by western union to Emily Whack in Jonesboro, GA. The prizes are waiting in town for me and they will be here in 1 1/2 hours.
By the way, they also had my son's name and my address. He thinks this redneck is going to call him back with a western union receipt number!
