LOL - what a funny scammer.  SURELY no one falls for this?!?!  omg.  

I received a call from this number to my cell phone and the caller said I had won the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes prize of 1 1/2 million dollars. Based on the foreign accent I expressed my disbelief and he asked me to call him back on the number in my Caller ID, to verify he was legit. Rather than call him, I just did a Google internet search of his phone number, which confirmed it was just another scam.

David Johnson called and said I won publishers I won 1.6 million dollars and a 2014 BMW  reference number 87119191705.  Asked me to repeat this back to him and then he said what who else is on the phone and hung up.  

Hey Tyler.   Are you stupid all the time or just some of the time.  A scammer picks up active (and alot of non-active) phone numbers from the internet.  There are programs that collect phone numbers that some of you put on the interent.  This is one way.  There is also a computer program that will dial random numbers in any given area  that it is told to.  When the phone rings more than once or twice, or when someone picks up, the call is immediately switched to an operater.  Some of you need to quit being so ignorant.  The DO NOT CALL list does work for the ones that are legit.  A scammer does not care you are on a DO NOT CALL list and will call you anyway.  Why do you think so many of them claim to be some sort of non-profit or "UPS".  They are exempt from the DNC list.  I always laugh when I read someone state that "I am on the DNC list....why are they calling me?"  Use your brain people.

Just got a call from this number told me he was calling from Publishers clearing house that I had won 950,000, strong Jamaican accent, number registers from Jamaica. Then told me to call a number and hung up on me.

They just call me dis morning saying I just won 750,000 an a benz just turn dat number in to madison , county police dept.

Tee glad you realized it is a scam....they are scammers alert all you know if they called you nine times out of ten they are calling others in your area...

He call me too I heard children and everthing .than he got mad when I told him I don't have the money to get my check I knew than it was a scam. He told me that its a bleesing from god .he keep on trying to get money from me .

Now they are from Readers digest PCH and won 5,000,000, I said ok send me the check and he hung up.

I got a call from John Green saying that I won 265,000.  All I had to do was write some things down including the amount.  I wonder if I had to write the amount down because he would forget how much he told me since he seems to tell bunches of people a lot of things. He also wanted to give me a confirmation number.  I remembered the first three and last four but couldn't remember the rest and asked him to repeat.  He hung up on me.

He called me a few days ago as well and told me that I won the Publishers Clearing house.  All he needed was my address.  I could tell it was a scam so I asked if he wanted my SSN too.

I did the same thing just now.

Just got a call...same number...very loud foreign sounding man...He said "I am John White from UPS"...I said "uh, no." and hung up.

searched internet for area code-and found this site ,I pity anyone who fell for this scam- really sad that people

Caller said he was from UPS in Baton Rouge, told me I won 2.5 million, plus a mercedes benz.  Gave me a bunch of confirmation numbers and so on.  He said his name was John Peterson.  He had a Jamaican accent.  I started asking him how he got my number, and he put me on hold.

I got a call from some guy with a very weird accent. He told me that he was my UPS carrier and that I had won $295,000 and congratulated me for being in the winners circle. This did not make any sense because I haven't entered any contests, so I just hung up on him.

This guy called an said he had a cashiers check to deliver, but need a delivery fee and some other fee. SCAM!!! How do we stop this type of garbage?!

thousands got this same call as its a scam - that's why he got so pissed.  He could not scam you out of money..

The guy on the line said he was from my local UPS carrier. He said I was the winner of $200,000! And tried to give me a confirmation number. He then asked me to repeat the number back to him, I denied (cause of course I didn't write it down) and then asked him how he got my number. He then cussed me out! Called me everything but a Child of God! And hung up! This was the most disrespectful thing I've heard of someone doing! How in the world did they get my number???
