My business keeps getting call from the 877-000-0000, this is a scam, but isn't there anyway to get these people to stop.  When you call back the number you get a instant busy signal.  I am not even sure who they are, can't the FCC do something about these scumbags?

877 isn't just a Canadian toll free area code.  It's also a toll free area code in the US.

By the way the area code was 877.  That is a Canadian toll free forwarding no. to an unknow CA number!  Cut huh?

I have had the same unpleasant experience that all of you have had except it cost me a lot of money.  I susoect that the number I called was ac tually a Canadian call transfer # (toll free) that was routed to the La area. Ias financial advisory business doing business in California and would not release it true phone number so that you could never identify the  ompany.  I didn't reall know this until I did some investigation on my own and found that this company had taken about $1300 of my money I sinsuspect that this is a business doing possibly unsavory financial business in the US.  My service was connected with credit card interest lowering.  Whtch out. I am proceeding to contact the FCC about it.

I received 3 calls from 877-000-0000 today, 2-25-2011, and they hung up.  The third time he must have been listening because I called him a few no-so-nice names.  He immediately called back and started in on me to which I said not to ever call me again.  He told me my address was in his system, so I told him to come on and look me up.  Am going to report to police, now.

Don't do it whatever you do.  They are thieves.  I got the same call, and I sent them the money they asked for.  I have not been able to get in touch with them since, and I have no loan proceeds.  They have my money.  I have contacted every legal and consumer protection authority I can find in every jurisdiction.  I intend to pursue them all the way to jail.

Tell all your friends - run the other way from this company.  They are scammers.

Rec'd a call from 877-000-0000 rep said she was calling from Avexion Financial Service about a pre approval of $115,000 for a mortage with and interest rate of 4.25%. Then said they would need to secure the loan by a refundable payment of $3738.00 and asked for my DOB.

same deal here i got a call from them in the state and they say they calling from avaxiom , ( a loan company) i ask the agent (girl ) from were there calling then the company name i was sitting in front of my pc at the moment of the call and i landed here so she pursue to ask me my DOB i ask her wich company again then she hung up

Same experience as everybody, I got a call from this number and I said Hello, then hung up.
I felt strange for this number, I just google this then found this page. Yesterday I placed an order at BestPriceElectronics.com.

I said hello, they said my name, then hung up. I to had just made a purchase from BestPriceElectronics.com last week.

I received a call from 877-000-0000, it turned out to be from a customer service rep at BestPriceElectronics.com where I recently placed an order for a camera lens. I can't explain the odd phone number except to guess that maybe it's a generic number that companies use to mask their real number when they don't want calls coming back to them.

No details, did not answer when I said hello
