As a retired skill trades supervisor I've observed that the mark of a dedicated employee is how they function when the going gets tough or complicated. Cindy C at the Tenn area fits that to a "T". I had a very complicated situation compounded by medical demands and associated details. Cindy went the extra 10 miles extending herself into other areas as needed to come to a mutually benificial solution for this mess. She has made me and mine a future customer for Direct TV. Caller ID: TOLL FREE CALL, 203-0518, no area code, and you can't call it back because you get a message, "if you'd like to make a call please hang up and try again". And they don't leave a message either. This is very annoying and they call about 20 times per day, I finally just blocked the number but they still call, it rings a half a ring and then gets blocked so the phone doesn't keep on ringing.

6 calls a day for the last three months. 877-203-0518. I have a phone that blocks calls, but it still rings once. I have always known that it was Direct TV. 4 months ago when it started i talked to them about upgrades but if you are already a customer there are no deals to be made. And the sales people could not begin to understand what i wanted. Direct TV has got great equipment and service but Customer Service is not worth a &&&&&&&&. I talked with them again today and told them if they did not stop calling I would cancel my service and there was a few other things I would do to their company that I will not get into here. Go to the Direct TV website. Find the email address for problems and let them have it. I found out that service problem emails go the the department heads. If that does not work start forwarding all your spam to their email address. Tie up their computer systems. I am prepared to forward 1000 emails a day to them for the next 4 weeks if they call again. If every one who is getting these calls would do something like that, things would change

They call every night. And I've noticed they call when I'm watching something. So they know I'm home. I now just answer and hang up right away.

IT IS DIRECT TV...THE WORSE SATELITE SERVICE AND BIGGEST THEFTS IN THE CONTINENTAL US. DO NOT BUNDLE THIS SERVICE WITH VERIZON AS VERIZON ALLOWS THEM TO CHARGE YOU ANYTHING THEY WANT TO YOUR VERIZON BILL, NOT THE AGREED UPON PACKAGE, AND ALL VERIZON DOES IS TELL YOU TO CALL THEM TO "WORK IT OUT!"

DirecTV doesn't listen even if you answer or call them back on this number. They say that they will take you off "the list" but it only stops for a couple of weeks. I just made my 5th angry call and got the same response. I wish there was a way to stop it for good. They call 3 to 4 times a day even at 10:00 at night, I am so sick of it.

I do business with Directv and love the service and technical help that is provided. However, I don't like the solicitation calls. Although I am on the 'do not call' registry, they are legally able to call me to upgrade service or sell me additional service. I emailed their customer service and asked not to be called (caller stays on just long enough that my answering machine 'thinks' there is a message so have to go thru the motions of 'listening' and deleting). I got an email back within the hour with an apology and agent said she would take care of it for me. I replied with a hearty THANKS and "awesome job in replying so quickly and taking care of my problem." Then her supervisor emailed me and thanked me for giving the agent a compliment. Problem solved....no more calls.

Just a follow-up to my last post.... I do have an account with Directv, so the "No Not Call" Registry does not apply to someone you have done business with recently. Same rule to political calls and charitable organizations. QWest holds our phone service and they also used to call quite often as they are legally able to. However, If you as a customer do not wish for them to contact you, then just write them.
I appreciate that someone found out it was Directv, because I hadn't had time to sit and google it yet!

Hi, I, too, get several calls a day on my phone from this number. They stay on long enough for my machine to pick up so I have to go thru all the motions of "listening" to a non-message, then deleting. I actually wrote Directv Customer Care ----- directvcustomercare@directv.com
Here was their response:

They have been calling my # SEVERAL times per day for 2 weeks. I decided to answer and when I do there is no one there. I finally redialed the # and discovered that it is DIRECTV. I owe them NO $ and I am simply furious at that thoughtlessness. Enough is enough!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've recieved over eight calls from them. finally called and yep it's directv. I asked them to please stop calling... We'll see how it turns out.
