I just got a call from "Mrs. Jackson" and she asked me if it was ok to serve me papers at work within the next two hours.  I asked her who were they from and she said that it was sealed and she wasn't going to open my mail. So I said I guess if I'm getting served come on.  She then told me that it's better to be served at home and gave me a number to call back.  She herself had called my work phone from a private number.  I called the number back and some guy answered and said forensic... I couldn't understand.  I asked him again and he said Alexander and Stefano.  I giggled and said oh, the scam people.  He said he'd like to tell me where to go, but it's mean.  He then said good night and hung up on me! Haha. Do not believe a word these people say, and PLEASE do not pay them any money! The number they gave me is 817-932-7028- feel free to call and harass the goofy guy!

They have all kinds of information on me. I am freaking out. They are saying I wrote a bad check in 2007 and I am being charged with crimnal and civil charges. unless I settle with them and I can only pay over the phone with some sort of card.

Can Someone Please tell me if this is really for sure a Scam?? I am scared to death I have had the same thing happen to me. But I have talkied to the actually jason guy Four times. He has my personal information.

Me too! Except they had really old bank account info of mine from... like 1993! ...this is an employee from an agency somewhere who knows how to 'debt collect'. Probably got fired for being such an a***ole!

Is really a scam????? I am flippen out he is telling me I have to pay money today. Or I am having charges against me.

Just got the same call to get of hold of Jason Covelli...stated that she would enter a not guilty plea for me and to call them right away...Im glad I read this site...Scammers...I will not call them and refuse to have anyone intimadate me...I will be reporting this

I received the same message, only they called my Mother to get my phone number, claiming to be from the prosecutors office. When I called the number given 877-203-1680, I received voice mail. Called the local prosecutors office who has no record of anything against me. Does anyone know what type of scam this is????

seems like these scammers are real good at doing the same thing over and over. i got a call too and they told me they would enter a plea on my behalf if i didnt contact them within 24 hrs. i asked the name of the firm and who exactly i needed to talk to and then asked the lady what her name was and where she was calling from. she told me she did not have to disclose that i said of course not why would you when you are trying to scam lol been through th is before and will never let someone scare the crap out of me like before. complete scam artists!

I got a call from them yesterday and it scared me too.  I always dispute every junk debt collector letter I get.  A female gave me a court number as well saying I need to call  so they could tell me what to bring.  When I searched the court cases data base for my area the court numbers were not anything similar to a court docket number in my area.  Also I know they did not have try to serve me several times because I am usually home early in the day.  From my understanding most servers will leave a card or something to let you know they were there.  Major red flags.  I am glad I checked this site before calling.  Now I won't call at all and will report them.  Thanks everyone.

I got a call stating that a crimanal case was pending for me. Not sure where this person got my number from.

I got the same call. THIS IS SUCH A SCAM. I'm PISSED right now. I better not see any charges on my phone from this. The "supposed" court docett number does not EVEN EXIST.

I just received a call stating that it was from the office of Jason Covelli and that my husband needed to call back because they had court papers that were going to be filed against him. When I asked what it was concerning I was told it was sealed and we had to return the call to find out.

I just got the same message. If it was so important why would you block the number you are calling from to begin with. I don't even live in an area with a county in it. I live where they have parishes. So wish the do not call list would work cause I put my number there and it has not worked to make them stop calling my cell.

This person called for my brother saying that he has a case pending in Lenberg County. 114143 was the case Number. He need to contact Jason Covelli.

Debt Collector who is violating the Fait Debt Collection Practices Act.  It is in violation to advise they are trying to serve legal papers for a court case.  When I tried to call back I could not get through.  I could only get the voicemail.

Do NOT give this man any of your money! He is a scam artist and a BULLY!!

I got a voice mail message with the same bs.   Here's the facts.  They are not an attorney's office.  
Per US LAW, no one can enter a guilty plea for you.  C)  Have you gotten a bill or something to the effect?   This is a SCAM!   I contacted the FBI when this call happened to me last year.   There are scammers out there.   Remember, there is a United States LAW states, credit collection agency are NOT allowed to represent themselves as lawyers, police officers, etc.    SCAM!   And, by the way, called them back..  voice mail.   Really?????

scared the crap out of me too. got the call yesterday. My initial caller was a Pamela Dawson. Letting me know that a plea of guilty would be entered in my name and even gave me a docket number.

I forgot to mention above - the best part of this is when you google the # you will get links to some humongous hooker / escort from Los Angeles or San Francisco - wow, just wow.  I realize that phone companies have to recycle phone numbers...but...well I don't even know what to say.  Isn't that just lovely.

Not sure how these people got our private business # but someone identifying themselves as "Tessa Anderson" called and left a message saying she was a "process server" and there was a pending criminal complaint, blah blah blah, contact "attorney" Jason Covelli @ 877-203-1680 within 24 hours to avoid litigation, etc etc.  Scared the doo-doo out of my wife but I recognized this immediately as a scam.  I'll let my attorney deal with it and report it to the proper authorities.
