I don't ever remember buying this s*** but about a year and half ago I got a call from a tech from iyogi asking to renew my contract and I told him that I didn't know what it was and that I wouldn't want to renew it even if I did. He continued to try to sell it to me in which I replied that I was hanging up and not to call me. He continues to call me every five minutes and random increments during the day and harassing me. Leaving me weird computer simulated sounding sex noises and basically bothering the f*** out of me. I'm very sorry for the language but these people have been harassing me for no reason. Which brings me to just about 5 mins before I found this page and wrote this angry comment. I got a call from iyogi and it's been awhile but I remember these damn people and I politely told the lady tech that I don't use this service and I was harassed by them which she proceeded to tell me it wasn't iyogi that harassed me and continue to say it wasn't iyogi that harrassed me and I agreed yes maybe it wasn't the company as a whole but it was someone who represents iyogi and it has been a thorn in my side since they started calling. I don't want to use your service I wouldn't want it even if I remembered getting it. Don't deal with these people they don't care about you and all the things Ive read from other people confirms that I'm not the only one they bug.

iYogi is calling weekly while I’m at work or even in a meeting. No apparent reason. I noticed the calls are more frequent when you don’t open iYogi as a tool bar on your desktop. Personally, they need to stop because they keep you in a loop if you call for help. One fix causes another break since they are calling themselves securing your system by blocking what you have setup in Norton. They will not disconnect your service and refund you. They are strong security violations and will cause system vulnerabilities. I have not had any problems since their last attempt to fix something that they broke after I assisted them on what to fix and how. Since I took their bar off of my desktop, I’ve had no problems since. Norton is doing a great job alone. I just got the service in December 2009 and constantly being harassed with calls. So, I saved them in my phone list and totally ignore them when I see their name. I also turn off the ringer until they finish ringing.

I have received 12 calls in the past 24 hours. I finally answered and a guy said he was calling from iyogi. When I began to ask him to remove my number from his call list-he hung up.

877-204-7985 is a call form IYogi tech support. No matter how many times you tell them not to call, they continue to do it. These idiots have nothing better too do. Report them to your local Attorney General, phone company and anyone who can shut theys people down.

Yes, they've given great service, but now they are inundating me with these calls despite my contract not ending until May...!!! They call several times a day. At least with caller ID I don't answer.

I got sucked in after a virus alert appeared on my computer. I called my regular contact but soon discovered it was iYogi...I bought a year's subscription and when working with them for a problem I did not believe I had spent hours on the phone with them. When a virus alert comes up go and check you security first. when I got my bank statement iYogi charged me for 2 years. when they asked if I wanted 2 yrs. I said,"no." So I found this site got the phone number and guess what....got my money back for the second yr. that they charged me for. I did not like my experience with iYogi and I will continue to watch my back statements so they don't do any tricks. looking up "microsoft virus alerts" helped me to understand the scams better. good luck.

I was scammed by this company. I see a class action lawsuit coming.
I am from NYS the word has to get out about iYogi .
In a nutshell I called McAffee but didn't know in the beginning it was iYogi until they told me to type something in the browser and saw "iYogi" in the header. I asked them are you iYogi and they said yes .
I called McAffee because I had a risk alert on my computer.

Receiving harrassment phone calls from company called IYOGI in India. They need to be stopped.
J 2010-03-29 22:18:17 Unknown
I called the Federal Communications Commission 1-888-225-5322.
They advised me to call the company and ask to be put on their Company Specific Do Not Call List.
They have 30 days to comply. After that you can report them.
Companies who you have had business with in the past 18 months still have to comply.
Joy 2010-03-24 20:10:58 Telemarketer
They started calling March 15, 2010. They are still calling 5-6 times per day. Now it rings and they hang up.
Intially they wanted me to renew their service .
I told them no. Since then the phone calls have not stopped.
I had already reported them to the BBB due a problem with them opening confidential files.
NEVER GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY.
I also got involved with IYOGI by buying P.C. SECURITY SHIELD.
J 2010-03-23 20:56:15 Unknown
They started calling me after I told them I was unhappy with their service and would not use them anymore... 4-5 times a day.
Do not ever get involved with this company.

I am not sure any of your legal complaints will work; you do realize they are headquartered in India and those people employed to man the phones have the only jobs available. Didn't anyone see Slumdog Milllionaire? Just use caller ID and don't answer.
Lauren 2010-02-27 09:54:50 Unknown
Yeah funny except I have NEVER signed with them, I've never used their service, I have no idea how they have my cell phone number? I have absolutely no contracts or business with them nor have I ever had! So who can call tomorrow and send over there to shut them down?
Chloe 2010-02-19 20:50:49 Unknown
Calls at least 6 to 8 times daily. No messages left. Never had a contract with this company.
Deborah 2010-02-19 17:11:15 Unknown
Receive at least 4 or 5 calls a day from 877 204 7985. Despite my at first nice thank you but no thank you to their request that I renew my contract with iyogi computer services to my angry do NOT CALL AGAIN request, they continue to call.
FILED A COMPLAINT WITH FTC - YOU SHOULD TOO. AND CONTACTED NEW YORK CONSUMER PROTECTION. I AM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THEM WHICH WILL PROBABLY GO INTO A PILE.
UNFORTUNATELY, FTC's law states that if you have a contract with a company, THEY CAN CALL YOU FOR UP TO 18 MONTHS AFTER THE CONTRACT HAS EXPIRED!!! There seems to be nothing we can do officially to stop the calls. Ironically, they were helpful, now I would NEVER USE THEM and would advise EVERYONE ELSE NOT TO SIGN UP WITH IYOGI COMPUTER SERVICES.

They called several times a day and each time I told them we were not interested and to take us off their calling list, which they claim they did. The calls stopped for a couple of weeks. Now I am getting calls from the same # and they hang up when I answer. If I call the #, they pick up, and immediately hang up.

Re iYogi computer support: Multiple calls solicitating renewal of tech support (which still had three months left)that occur daily at all hours. Caller(s) told no renewal forthcoming and to cease harassing calls. E-mails were also sent twice to the company in India demanding a stop. Harassing calls continue. This company's U.S. address is: iYogi, 291 Broadway - Suite 803, New York, NY 10007. Their India address is: iYogi, Inc., Building No. 6, Tower C, Cyber City, Gurgaon, Haryana -- 122002. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! REPORT THEM TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION COMPLAINT WEB SITE, THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, econsumer.gov (cross-border complaints), local attorney-generals, state departments of consumer affairs, elected officials, and anyone else you may think of. Certainly all your friends and contacts.

yah I received the call too just a minute ago. I keep saying hello but no one is answering on the other line.

I get calls from this number constantly. I answered one time and Iyogi tried to get me to allow them to charge my credit card for "services" in case my computer crashed. I told them I was not interested and hung up. This was about three weeks ago and the calls still keep coming.

Same thing is happening to us. Continual calls even after refusing to buy their service & requesting that they take our number off their calling list; calls seem to have stepped up since! Reported to phone company's "Annoying Call Bureau" for our first step.
Rob 2010-01-19 03:09:49 Unknown
Calls several times a day. The person at Iyogi calls and hangs up after the phone is answered. The calls started when I refused to renew a service subsription.
