This co has called me for months. There is never anyone there and now when u call back it rings then you get a busy signal. I am on heavy pain meds and do not deal well with being woken up. I can't stand it and if I was positive who it was, if it was Verison, I'd cancel their services immediately. This has to stop.

Don't even bother trying to report them, just a waste of time and effort.

Verizon Wireless, supposedly, but don't give your information to them. Probably to harass about resigning a contract

It is in fact Verizon....if you have an account with them, call 800-922-0204 and tell them you want to "opt out" of their telemarketing program.  They will make sure your name and number comes off the list.  Hope this helps.

I normally do not answer numbers that I don't recognize, but I checked it here and found the posts shown. They probably do represent VZW. VZW may have sold your number to them. Got about a dozen calls from this number. I read your posts, and called them back. They answer as Verizon, and I told the rep I knew she was lying. They are telemarketers for Verizon.

It's a scam. They don't represent VZW, but VZW may have sold you number to them. Call the CPNI (Customer Proprietary Network Information) hotline at 800-333-9956 to Opt-Out of VZW sharing your information. I could have sworn I did this on http://www.verizonwireless.com/myprivacy but that may not be related.

These guys are going on my blocked contact on my Droid.

Move to new address + got new phone #. Cleared old #s from phone Block Calls queue. This # and a few others showed up. Thanks for confirmation for me to block it! Got maybe a dozen spots left in Block queue.

called verizon, they think it's a scam but also put me on their no call list for 3rd party vendors. Did explain to caller that I am hostile and would like to have his home number so I could call him. Told him I know how to call Verizon if I need to discuss plans and even know how to walk into their store and to remove me. He said it would take 30 days, I again asked him for his number so I could call him. He laughed. Just call Verizon and ask them to put you on their do not call list.

This is Verizon Wireless calling.

I just got a call and they wanted my passcode.  I told them I never give out personal info unless I made the call myself..  It surprises me that they think we would willingly give them personal info just  because "they say" they are Verizon.

Suggestion to those who receive annoying calls (from any number): Save the number to a new contact, and set the ringtone for that contact to "no ring."  PROBLEM SOLVED!  Then, if another telemarketer, creditor, etc. calls you, save to that same contact (you can save 5 numbers on most phones per contact)

BEWARE. Same message as above, just a few years later...."Claire Hickman" called from "Verizon" and asked if she could speak to me, but under my maiden name, which is no longer on the acct for the last 3 years! Then went through how much she could same me if I switched to this and that--all free, no contracts. But then she wanted to confirm the spelling of my name which was TOTALLY wrong. Then asked for the last 4 digits of my social and password for "security reasons." I took the name and number called my cousin who works for verizon and he said, that's weird you're already on that plan, and no, disregard that call.

This is Verizon Wireless.  Typically, calls from this number are not attempting to collect payment on a bill.  This call is usually made when an upgrade to the service line is available, or when new equipment has been ordered and activated.  It is a courtesy call to ensure that you are satisfied with their service, or the new device.

Less than 3 hours after we went to the store and horrid customer service (during which, we informed Verizon that we will NOT be re-upping our contract), we got our first call.  I'll be interested in seeing how often they call back, or if they continue after I tell them where to stick it.

So, I just got a call from this number and it was Verizon trying to "help me out" by telling me that the plan I was on could be upgraded and that "they should go ahead and do that for me now". So I said "uhhh, we have never gone over on our texting so how is this beneficial?" and she said "It gives you unlimited texting to assure you don't" and I said "is there a difference in the pricing" and she said "yes, it is more". So that is where things turned ugly and I filled her in on how much I don't appreciate her trying to call and "help me out" especially if it is at a cost to me when I already told her we have NEVER gone over our texting allowance on our current plan. Way to go Verizon, great customer service!  Try doing a little research before you call your current customers and try to piss them off.

Caller claimed he was from Verizon & calling to say it was time to upgrade my plan. Problem? I already did that days ago. I called 611# & spoke to Verizon rep. They say the person calling was NOT from Verizon...do not share info with them hang up immediately...
