i get this alot  n   got my own way of dealin with them  i got a party childs whistle n wen they call they get  an ear spliting whistle in their automated ears.   it has stopped alof of them,   i also get t hem from 202 thats washingtion dc  n they get same treatment.  i dont need my phone tied up with mental morons who think they will get to me not gonna happen.   try it  it has cut down alot of the 800,877, 866, 202 n others. i m on a do not call list but it seems that doesnt cover all of the mentals that try to annoy me.  

Irritating calls all time of the day

I am tired of being called by this number several times a week....nobody answers when answered. It needs to stop.

Call the number, 1-877-213-5152. Listen to the entire recorded message. At the end of it, you are given some options, including being added to the "do not call list". Just punch in your number, including the area code, and supposedly you will be deleted from the list.

The calls are coming from The College Republican National Committee (CRNC).

I just finished adding my number to the do not call list. I hope it works.

The Republician party can either call me with a notation of WHO IS Calling - not a 877 number.  I don't answer 877, 866, 800 numbers.

I also have a Panasonic phone that holds 2500 numbers.  I find out who has that number and put it in my directory.  I make sure not to put the 1 in front of it so I won't accidentally dial it.  When I get a call, my Panasonic voice tells me who it is.  Much better than unavailable.  Also I can use my Panasonic to answer 2 cell phone lines.

Has anyone else noticed your phone ID only shows 'toll free number' in lieu of the registered number holder?

When answering machine comes on they disconnect?

Worst case is friend who calls and shows as 'O' or '0' so I guess Obama has cracked the FTC without bothering to use congressional legislation.

Got two calls this morning. Answered first one and spoke briefly to a female wanting to take a political survey. I hung up on her after a few words. Second call came a little over an hour later but didn't answer it. Appears as 877-213-5152 on my caller ID. I generally don't answer any toll-free calls and if important, they will generally leave us a VM ...

Not now, not ever.

I keep getting calls from this number but I do not answer and they do not leave a message.  I also keep getting calls from the Tea Party.  Not sure what the hell is up with that.  I have been a registered independent for 31 years and never affiliated with any political party (they all stink).  I occasionally get calls from democrat and liberal party groups as well.  All trying to sway may to their side.  I choose to be a member of George Washington's party.

No one is ever on the line. It's very annoying to answer the phone and no one ever talks. I want this to stop.

My wife subscribes to a Republican newsletter. I am a Canadian citizen. Somehow they obtained and called my cell phone and asked for my wife while I was in clinic with patients this morning.

I don't give to any organization via a telemarketer. Up to 75% of what you give can often go to the marketing co. I also use my free eFax.com number if I must give out a number such as on a web site or whatever. Then they just get a fax tone when they call.

meaning we have cell phones now, I have plugged our FAX machine into the home phone number so, when these annoying calls come in they get the loud beep bonk boop noise.  We are not so UNEDUCATED, that we can't pick up the phone and dial their number, if we were in any way interested in their product or problem.  My phone was not intended for SPAM OR JUNK MAIL,  it was meant for emergencies and family. By these companies ASSumming it is okay to call my number at any time, this is an invasion of our privacy. Due to the fact that we pay for an UNLISTED -
&  NON PUBLISHED NUMBER.  But..... when they call here, they have asked for my husbands father who has been dead for 22 years, so where they got his name is beyond me.

Political entities are ALL exempt from the do not call laws, not just the Republicans.  The Dems aggravate their side as well.

Calls several times per day, very rude, no message left, believe they are Republican part.Do not think they are very professional and not a way to raise funds.
