Just as an FYI, this 877-215-0524 is a collection agency working for a SCAMMING company. They called me in reference to a payday loan that I took out a while ago, from a company titled Northeast Offices. They threatened to send a subpeona to my job and inforce that I do jail time. They also said that my debt for a $350 payday loan was $1789. Payday loans are prohibited in Maryland so I contacted the MD Commissioner of Financial Regulation. She is having them investigated now. Best advice I can give is to pull your credit report and check for any errors. Also, contact your state to see if there are any laws against any specific debts. No family should go through terror due to an unpaid bill. I hope this helps.

These people are a Collection Agency. They told me I was going to jail if I didn't pay them and that they weren?t a collection agency. Tell them to stop calling you and to contact your lawyer. Then tell them you will see them in court. I guarantee you their technique of squeezing money out of you will change.

To JCO I can tell you right now most people dont go around intending to get loans that they will never pay back in general most people who owe owe beacuse they have hit a ruff patch in there lives and have to chose between eating or paying a bill. There are some people out there who dont care about there debts but not EVERY ONE that owes money is that way so stop assuming every one is the same !!!!!!!!!!

These people call 10 times a day even though I have spoken to them . I contacted the company that they were supposedly trying to collect from. I was told it was an account over 10 years ago that was settled and they had no idea what this collection agency was talking about. These guys are insane and should be arrested for harassment.

Received a voicemail stating that they had a message for my father. I called back and asked them who they were and why they weren't calling him. I spoke with Cody Clark who refused to tell me what company he is with, other than "North East Offices"...I kept asking him NE Offices of WHAT??? I asked how he got my number and he stated that it was the number on the account. My father used me as a reference (without my permission)on several payday loans that he took out and then failed to pay. My guess is that one of them sold the debt to this collection agency. I asked Cody Clark not to call me again, as I KNOW that he has my fathers information. He wasn't rude, but he wouldn't give me any information.

Yup, These are about the 12th idiots that have tried to scare me and my family into paying money for a scam i gor wrapped up in when i just got out of usmc bootcamp. Military Circuit is the original company that basically waits outside the gate for young dumb marines to come out fresh from boot and scare them with iraq stories so they feel the need to get a laptop or they'll never be able to speak to their families again. now, marines aren't at there peak in judgement abilities right out of boot. after i didn't get the goods for a few months after my allottments began, i consulted a lawer and he said i was perfectly justified in stoping the payments. well about a year later, some collection agency (aka buddies of the military circuit people) calls and the fun begins. Since then it's been past around to at least 5 or 6 different "agencies" trying some of the same empty threats, then when that doesn't work, they turn to bribery basically, saying they can make it go away for X amount ($500 to $2300). I'm an honest man, I pay my bills, my credit is fine despite the fact that they have that on there, (it's listed as 'in distpute'). I think its sick that these people make a living by preying on the people defending their freedom and by threatening their families who are often times already vulnerable due to the fact that this person is deployed to a combat zone (i'm sure they see this scenario as gold). so they can pass this on to whoever is next in line and they will get the same answer from us. And for whoever this is that keeps saying to pay your bills or whatever these con artists are telling you to say, I'm no bum, i just dont give my hard earned money away to people who dont earn it in an honest way. I am a deputy sheriff near omaha, NE, about 5 years after my lapse in judgement and if these people can work up the cohones to actually take real legal action, and they want a fight, they got it. otherwise, pass it on to to your buddy down the street and tell him to call himself a "collection agency", or hell, a "lawer" that might work. Right...GET A REAL JOB!
| Shelly 2009-03-25 20:31:49 Unknown |
They called me and asked "are you black" and then said that I "smelled like chedder cheese". I now call them to harrass them everyday.

Man named Joseph Samuels called at 10:30 at night threatening lawsuits against my mother for unpaid debt. Wanted personal information which I did not provide. Mr. Samuels did not provide me with any other information about himself or company for whom he worked for. Sounds like other stories posted on this forum. Sounds like a scam to me.

KEEP CALLING MY JOB WITH SOME REFERENCE NUMBER. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH THEM BEFORE AND THEY WERE VER VERY RUDE AND CALLED ME A LIAR BECAUSE I DIDNT KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT.
| Dee 2008-11-14 18:11:55 Unknown |
It appears to me you must work with these people or you must have failed to read any of the other messages on this board.. No one has a right to use illegal means to collect a debt. Most of the debts were paid or were never owed. So, who are these people you work for? They need to do jail time!

I recieved a subpeona from my local jurisdiction... it didnt come from the sherriff like they said it would, it simply came in the regular mail. Well, anyways, i had a date that i was supposed to appear, i didnt show. I recieved notification a few weeks later saying due to the failure to appear that there was a "default" judgment issued. Fortunately for me i live in texas therefore i cannot be garnished and my property is secure. I honestly can give two s**** even if the court says i owe the money. My credit is already shot and i have nothing to lose... i doubt they'll find me in contempt of court it will cost them more to pursue the judgement anyways.

Does the court/sheriff have a local phone number? You get try contacting them and see if this is legitimate or not. Often times they put bogus information and ask you to call them to avoid court. Just a tactic, just like any other tactic.
What I adivise anyone who receives calls from these people is to find out what your state law says regarding debts. (not including home, auto, etc.) only credit cards or consumer debts.
Tell them you do not want them to contact you, this is your right! You will probably need to fax them a written statement. Keep this for documentation if you need it in the future, let them know you are documenting everything including your request, their name, the debt, etc.
Caller: Northest
Caller Type: Collection Agency
