a man by the name of jeff called my business asking for my mother when i asked what the call was about he got angry and yelled saying its none of my business so i said wrong number and hung up

Some 800 service that refuses to leave a message.

I was called today his name was Gary Davis and did not say the company name in my voicemail and asked for my stepdad who doesn't even live in the same state as me. I tried to return the call but no one answered and no answering machine.

Some jerk keeps calling and never leaves a message.

Just got a call from 877-219-0853.. Did not answer, as I do not answer any 800 numbers.. The phone rang for such a long time....Its a nuisance..

This a debt collection agency Capital Management.  Leaves a reference number and ask you to call back.

don`t work with these scum bags, you do not owe these b*****ds any thing, do not give them any info and cuss them out when they call tell them not to ever call again and if they do, make sure you log the time and date, when they call again find an attorney that is willing to sue them for each time they call. or just make it a national day to elimate debt  collectors

same stuff this am... on 6-11-2012... report this to your state's attorney's office like Lori Swanson in Minnesota... I did not know the person that they were talking about being related to me..

Just got a call from them did not answer. Their debt collecters??? I think they are calling the wrong person!!

Total idiots.  They are calling me because somebody with the same name as me left a big debt (pretty common, there must be thousands of them in the US).  I asked them, and they swear they are not debt collectors.  

Does anybody know where do they get the names and phones from?

My ex-mother-in-law (who I lived with at one point, but over 2.5 years ago) just called to tell me that she got a call from "James Wright" at this number looking for my dad. He said my dad gave her and her husbands' names as a reference. Neither of them have ever met my dad. In fact, I am pretty sure my dad doesn't even know their names. Definately won't be calling them and letting them get my cell number to harass! And if my dad owes any money, he's been at the same address for 20 years. Send him a bill b*tches!

I am getting calls from this number asking for some-one that doesn't live and neve have lived a ti my house, and have told them no to call again, but they keep calling, is there anyway, that this people can be stop from doing this?.

Calling me at work.  I don't answer toll free numbers.  They do not leave a message.

... and yet am being harassed by these leeches because my name appears with someone else not as responsible as I've always been. How do these people sleep at night? wait, they sleep in coffins during the day, right? lol Same as the rest of you. Dozens of calls from the 800# that won't leave a message, then STEVE giving me THIS number (877-291-0853). I told him I'd pass it along to the party he's looking for.
I hung up before I concluded with the "when pigs fly out your butt," comment.

Called me at 8:42am. Left an incredibly vague and scatterbrained message--but at least they weren't rude.

I don't see how these types of calls work in 2012. This is the Age of Caller ID. Everybody knows about debt collectors and identity thieves (and loathes them). Do they really think a person would pick up a number they didn't recognize and give out the personal information of a friend or relative to a stranger?

I'd like to see some stats on how many of these calls are actually picked up and then how many people actually give them the information they want.

Got a call from 8772190853 to call a person named Mr. Parker......he mentionned it was about a person named Steve who I never heard of.  I called back and got put on hold waitng for a person to respond.  Then hung up.......could be a scam of some sort...

1877-219-0825  called and left a message. Has been calling my relatives
in out of state. Planning to call the attorney general. Most obnoxious people even amongst their profession.His last message was I have to pay if I want to sleep

Received call this afternoon. Lady identified herself as Ms. Calhoun of Capital Management Services. Said they had been trying to contact "John Smith" (I have changed name) and wanted to know if the number they were using was the right one.  I did not know and told her so. She asked me to tell John, if he contacted me, to call them.

If they call again, I will point out that they have no business association with me and, as my number is on the national do not call list, they are in violation of that list. If they call again after that I will report them.

Capital Management is a 100 percent legitimate company, if you had a discover card call discover if it's in collections, they are gunna transfer you to capital Management services , seriously pay your bills dont run from them

I was called today at 4:30pm from a woman claiming she was from Capital Management Services and to call her back regarding a debt collection. I don't owe any money. Googled the number and found this page. I'm not returning her call. Scam!

I realize collectors have a job to do, but consider this.  I  got collection calls from another company,  about a relative,  3 or 4/week for 2/mo.  They wanted information they already had and wanted me to contact her though she knew she's wasn't paying. What news am I going to tell either party?  I never volunteered or was down to be a contact and I don't lend to people who should never get a loan.  Why should bystanders get constant sometimes harassing calls from lenders or collectors about someone who repeatedly borrows money they can't possibly pay back and files bankruptcy as often as the law allows (three times)?  Let's call the lenders  for a change for giving money to people who have no business getting it.  The lenders should be more  fiscally prudent don't you think?  How can someone file bankruptcy and get right back in dire straights a year or so later?  How can they keep borrowing?  Why should I hear from someone who loans to them?  If lenders want to give money to people like that, I'd say they should be the first to act like an adult and not drag bystanders into their own foolish lending practices.  My relative is a "grown adult" that I'm not responsible for unless I co-sign and do you think I'm that dumb?  I'm sorry that collectors and bystanders even have to deal with each other.

I work for capital management. Listen, we get the accounts with the numbers on it you left that number with the client, and were going to call it. If thoes numbers don't work were goin to call your family so we can get you to pay your debts for our clients. If were calling you and you don't know the person tell yes, yea we might ask a few questions ... It's our job. We will remove your number it's company policy and the law, but, if your lying and it's obvious were going to call it. CMS is not a scam it employs 1.500 people. If you would just stop running and face your debt, no matter which collection agency it is chances are they can get you a super good deal 50 %or even more. If you can't pay it all at once well let you make payments. were not here to beat you up, were hear to work with you, and if it's obvious that you can pay it but you refuse it, we know you can afford it, especially if you have more than one account with that client or settled other accounts in our office were going to try to get you to face your problems like and adult should

They keep calling every day and sometimes several times a day. We have answered them and asked them to stop calling as it has nothing to do with us!They want us to give them contact information on someone we know. Considering we have an unlisted number I wonder how they found our number? They are rude and mocking! We have told them repeatedly to stop calling but they won't let go. Is this legal?

A guy called me today from 877-219-0853 who never identified himself and asked to speak with Mark, I told him that there was no such a person in this household and I never heard of him.
The caller got a little rude and I asked him to identify himself which he refused, so I decided to be rude back and mess with this fool. I told him that I was channeling Mark and Mark told me that he would never speak with him here, that went on for a few minutes until I tired of messing with this dumb A**.
I then put my foot down and told the caller he needed to wake up and get a clue, and that there was no Mark living, or associated with my phone number and I hung up.

This company called my brother's phone looking for me. They shouldn't have his number and I don't know how they got it. I didn't appreciate it. I know I'm super behind on the payment but don't contact my family members.

I keep getting this stupid calls from these people. They are always calling for someone that I do not know. I just have the same last name. When I called and asked them for information they told me that they are not allowed to give it to me as it is not legal to obtain the info. Well, if it is against the law to get info, then stop calling...
