Per Chase Customer Service: This is NOT CHASE. Customer service rep advised this may be a Phishing Scam.

Called on Feb 8th, 2014 at 2 PM and hung up. Caller ID showed "800 Service", but I believe it to be Chase Bank telemarketing.

I got msg too. For those folks that say they have never had an acct with chase or Ing, might consider that you probably are not the only person that has ever owned your present phone number, in the years past. Chase seems to be calling every number in its database about the ending of voice mail service, ever old numbers.

If you receive a voicemail or email telling you to call your bank, please go to your bank's website and use one of the numbers provided. If the message refers to your credit card then call the number on the back of the card. Never call your bank using a phone number provided on a random voicemail or email. All banks will tell you the same thing. The issue with Chase and voice alerts is real but the phone number on the voicemail might not be. Better safe than sorry.

If you have an account with ING, this is why you may have gotten this call.
Chase bought out ING.

I can confirm this is from Chase. They left a voicemail message stating voice alerts would stop as of March 23rd and all alerts would be sent to my primary email address.
For those of you saying that you don't bank with Chase, don't forget that if you have an ING account, they were bought out by Chase so you do have an account with them. It isn't just for credit cards that alerts are for. Also checking and saving....

I received a call on my CELL number which very few people have. They didn't leave a message but when I called back recording said they were busy with a large number of calls. I called the number on the back of my Chase Visa to check as I was concerned about fraud. I was told the number was not Chase bank and to always make sure I only call the number on the back of my card!

Called, no message, think likely a spoofed number

Same here. Just received the call, then voicemail from Chase. Googled the number, found this site.

I have a Chase account (a credit card account through Quicken) and got the missed call. If you never had an account with Chase move on with your life and forget about it.

Yes, this is valid - I have a Chase credit card and received email notification last week that their voice alerts will stop. This morning I missed this call and plugged the number in on Google and found this site.

I just received a call with no voice mail. I have never had any business with Chase. They should not have my number.

It is legit. I do have a Chase acct and received an email on it.
I checked with a friend that works for chase and confirmed the number.
Also number confirmed as Chase Bank on my call bot

I don't have an account with Chase nor do I believe I ever have.

Received a call also and I didn't as I didn't recognize the number. They didn't leave a message. I also do not have a chase account so not sure why I would be on their list for notifications.
| J Ball 2014-02-08 17:50:38 Unknown |
I just got the same call and I don't have an account with Chase so I don't know why they would have my phone number to begin with.

Same here. Just had the same message about 3 minutes ago. Called the number back and they were "experiencing a large call volume". Within a minute or two the message said their office is closed and is open M-F 6am - 9pm central time. Guess I'll be calling them!

A call from Chase bank about the fact that the commercial voice alerts are going to stop. I don't know why they would call me since I don't have an account with them.
