Rcvd. a message from this number saying they were a company called Advantis and they had received my application. They wanted to talk to me because they had a few questions before they could process my application. I have not applied for anything, especially from a company called Advantis..

Advantis collection company, If the are bugging you at work send them a Cease and Dist letter to reframe from calling your job and if they do not go online to any credit reporting and get the letter to stop this harrassament.  We know we owe someone or we would have no purpose in life they probably owe more than you do.  When you call they won't tell you what they do they try to trick you into giving them your name and number so that they can report that they spoke with you regarding your payment and start reporting all over AGAIN on your credit report.  BE AWARE OF YOUR RIGHTS.  If a debtor has ran negative on your report for 7 years a collection agency can not report the same account for antother 7 unless you make arragements with them.  There is also a letter for that.  GOOD LUCK.

I got a call from this guy, He rng a couple times and I called back, I could hardly understand him.  Sounded like someone from Africa.  I sure hope that is was not one of those numbers that charges 2000 per minute.

These parasites keep calling me asking for someone who I used to work with over 1 year ago. I tell them that I don't know anything about this person and am not in contact with them but they won,t leave me alone. I think this deadbeat used my name and # as a contact person for her. Now I am the one being harassed. I don't know how to  get them to leave me alone.

Rcvd. a message from someone named David Black from Advantis. He said I should call back asap, as they had a few questions regarding my application and could not process it until I called. I have not applied for ANYTHING..

I was getting called by this company since like back in february of this year and i try to always screen my calls.  this number first appeared as a blocked #, but when i would get a call and a number would be left on my vm it would be the 1-877 number.  there were three occasions that i picked up before checking the i.d. because once i was waiting on someone to call right back, and each time they would say they were calling about a pay day loan.  they wanted to know if i was willing to pay it back.  i always sd no and hu.  after reading some of the notes on this website i began to doubt the validity of this company and thought it was just a scam.  Then i got a call from a david black and he said he was calling as a last chance to see if i was going to take care of this before legal action.  I told him to "f" off and hu.  about two weeks later I got a court summons in the mail and i was taken to a claims court where i ended up having to pay the balance and the court fees.  apparently advantis is a collections agency that purchases the debt from payday loan companies and since i wouldn't take care of it it went to court and i got screwed.  i shoulda realized how serious this was and just been responsible. now i'm paying more for my mistake

Although most states have usury laws, some don't. Check with your State Attorney General. Most States require lenders to have a license to operate in that state. Again, check them out. For legal purposes, they must provide you with a full street address upon request. If the payday loans violate any of the laws, then the chances are good that the loan agreement is unenforceable.

When Advantis or the Payday loan call, ask for their license and street address. Tell them that you will only deal with legitimate businesses and will not reply to a PO box. (NOTE, you can't serve a summons to a PO Box)

Yes, they will continue to harass you, but it is fine if you use the eff word to them and hang up. They can't collect if they refuse to reveal their address.

Yes they can report you but you can dispute the charge. If you went to a Payday Loan, your credit is probably crap already anyway.

I?ve received a couple calls from different agents at Advantis. They never disclose the nature of the call but did leave me my case # (ya). I have since discovered that they are a collection agency settling delinquent accounts for pay day advance companies.

Advantis is a legitimate collection agency for a pay day loans.

Advantis is a really good company, they are in utah Bill Brown is one of the managers, if they call you is because a Payday loan that you did not pay was sent to them for collections, they are nice and will work with you, set up payment plans etc... not like the payday place. They helped me with my 3 past due payday loans I could not be happier they helped me save over 300 dollars. Wish you luck this is not a fake company they are real and they are very nice to work with.

Maybe you Should Call back 877-226-6701 that is an automated System that calls you everyday and you should try to see why this people keep calling you.

I received a similar call from a gentleman named Billy, who seemed very believable that my account was being handled by his company. He stated that the payday loan company I had an account with sold my account to his company (Advantis) and they were collecting on the funds. When I checked my bank account, the payment I authorized to the payday loan company was debited under the name "Advantis". I have been working with the loan company and Advantis trying to get clarification on who I was to continue paying, and I have ceased all future payments until clarification is received. Just recently, though, a woman from the loan company stated that she did not know who Advantis was and she believes this is a scam, so she asked me to provide her with the documentation "Billy" faxed to me so she could research. She said her company could not afford this negative exposure from a fradulent company utilizing their name - and she sounded seriously concerned about the credability of this Advantis company.

I recieve this call all the time but never answer. I listened to the vm left and a guy with an obvious overseas accent said "My name is Billy Brown (??) and I have recieved your paperwork in my office. This is in regards to a matter you may or may not be aware of. I need you to contact me or someone representing you. You can call me back at...." and he left the same number.
That was my work cell, I called back on my work phone. The same guy answered, said, "This is Bill", I said "Oh, I'm sorry, I have the wrong number" and when I was hanging up, he said "no, you don't have"....
Makes me wonder why I called from a number different than what they have and he just "Knew" I had the right number.

a young woman with French accent calls everyday sometime twice a day on my cell phone and informs me this is not a solitation call but wants to talk to me about an important matter and to call back. How do I stop or block this call from coming in?

We got a call from this women saying left an important message and to press 9 to receive it. We just hung up. I then recalled the number to see how they answered and the thick accent that answered sounded suprised and stuttered when he said "Uh, hello, hello, hello this is Brian". The accent he spoke with didn't sound like his name should have been Brian at all. I would like to know who they are.

I received a call on cell and at work, they left message saying the had some time sensitive info, and for me to call back. They called yesterday too, they never leave a company name or what it is in regards to.

I received a call from this number on 2/11/08 at 12:30 pm. A man left a voice mail stating his firm has been trying to get ahold of me "for a little while" and please call them back.

that was it.

I have looked everywhere on the internet but cannot find this number referenced anywhere.
