That company offered the same BELL satellite TV discount. And of course insisted to complete the deal right away. I did not go far enough to get to the banking details but sounded suspicious. I asked to extend the offer so I can verify it as a legitimate one. I called the actual Bell TV and they said there was never an offer like that:

Free lifetime maintenance
Receiver cost to rent $10 per month or buy for $25
Programming for 100 channels is $23/month- for life
If I get 4 receivers (2 digital, 2 HD) will cost $50
Sports package for $8/month
etc.
He'll call later today to see if I want to do it...but I'll decline.

I just got call from Mr Mike :) last name Owen(broken English) 1 877 226 7577. So I am THE BEST Bell customer ever( no more actually for the last 2 years) he didn't know the first and last name of THE BEST customer...the offer is valid only for today...and he is "the floor manager"(is he calling from McDonalds?)...also on Mo a tech person will call me to arrange installation ....I said no to satelite so what will be actually done? I have analog line. And he also said: I'm not calling from call centre!..but I can hear "call centre" in the background. SCAM!!! Hold on to your personal info!!!!!!!!

Got a call from 1-877-226-7577. Neil was the caller. Said he was calling from the Bell Store, got his name, number and asked to be removed from the call list. Never gave him a chance to ask about my personal info

You sound a lot like the agents on the phone - broken English. More importantly, you are not saying why they are "very good"... Not helping.

Actually they offer to rent a receiver for $10/month or buy for ...$25 he-he-he. That is unheard. Also lifetime no price increase just $33 (well the first year is $23). And I imagine they'll ask to pay over the phone (right) and then: Bye-bye.

That is unbelievable.

Somebody called me too. Same offer but they want a deposit like $50 which will return once the service starts. Sounds like that is the whole purpose of the promo...Typical scam.

Received a Call for a Bell promotion for Satellite installation and internet...from 1877 226 7577...Jenny was the caller Thurs Sept 245h ... very sweet girl...said the promotion would be over on Friday Sept 25 and therefore I would need to make a decision asap...I requested until Monday Sept28th to make my decision...she put me on hold..came back and said okay you are a very good client ...therefore I will extend the promotion until Monday for you...I said Thank You& hung up....On Friday Sept 26th I receive a call for the same thing...I proceeded to tell them ... I had spoken with Jenny...who indicated I may have an extention...This Mike who prefers to be called Mr Mike...said I am the Boss and we cannot extend your promotion offer...I said being such a good..long time customer of Bell, why not...he said Im the Boss and that is the final decision...I said well I feel priviledged speaking with the Boss of Bell...being the Boss why are you working such hours...so you must have a Boss..can I spk with him...he said nope...that was the way he answered me...I said ok fine... I don't need your rudeness or your promotion...I will call Bell on Monday and figure things out....I hung up...not suspicious of anything...just believing I encountered a RUDE representative...Well Sept 28th ...I decided to call them back...but I never did call bell office prior ...I did not have an opportunity today...I asked for this Jenny girl...she remembered me and I told her I was interested in signing up for the promotion...after several..not so personal questions...she proceeded to ask me for my bank infor...where I bank...what my Transit and Acct # is...this is when I said...I do not feel comfortable giving this information and being a long time client you can check my payment history...and the fact I have never defaulted...so why is this information so important to have when I am signing up...well very insistant that she did not want to lose me as a client and please please...or I will get fired if I lose this account...I called Bell Canada on my other line while she insisted on holding til I was ready to give her this infor....I reached a rep at Bell 416 310 BELL...who indicated the Sales office had just closed...but she felt that it didn't sound too ligitamate...as we don't demand that information over the phone because we have access to your bell acct..she advised to call tomorrow during the day to find out if this is a ligitamate promotion offer /call...she advised if it doesnt feel right to you then do not give out this info...I then went back on the line with Jenny...and told her I said sorry to waste her time...but I was going to decline..she insisted I spk with her supervisor by the name of MR George and not Mike since he was Rude to me previously...Mr George tried to persuade me to give this information...at which time I was looking up this 877 # and came to this site....this was my decision maker...believe it I was tempted to give my personal information because I felt sorry for the girl...goes to show you...cant trust anything these day...Must double check everything....I have all faith that if this is a true promotion from Bell they will follow through and give me the same promotion when I call tomorrow to  let them know that their reps based on the information being requested made me suspicious and this is why they  need to implement different sales tactics...and if this is not legitimate well then...its great I went with my gut feeling...hope that if this is a SCAM that they be caught...also a note they indicated they work at the Bell Canada Centre located in Ottawa...I asked for their address and they refused to give it to me...talk about RED FLAGS..

'Minco' is correct this is not Bell Canada.  Any large company like Bell would already have this info and not need to ask you...they are scamming to get personal info, never give it out.

Someone, Bell Promotion Department, tried to pull all information: new address, how I receive the Bell bill, how I pay, and what bank I use - TD, RBC etc. I stopped at this point. He told that nobody will come if I do not give such information. Be advised...! He called again to get my account and transition number!!! I asked him do not again, or I will call police and counsel Bell Service.
