repeated calls on caller I.D.

a guy named michael called me five days ago and i listed with him, my car was sold four days later thanks michael for your service it worked ! it was the right way to go thanks again!

They get my number from Autotrader, and willing to sell my car for $500.
They have been calling me for 3 months now....

The same number - called me more than 10 times - some who said that she was Pam.

She says, "I am really in need of the 2003 BMW you have." Who really needs a 5 year car so badly that they will call a seller 10 times without any return calls.

If it smells like a scam - it is one.

my 2 cents - sell locally - for cash or cashier's check. Take the payment & buyer to the bank that it is drawn on and get cash out before handing over the title.

Just don't sell to some one who can't meet face to face.

Telemarketers offering you a way to spend a few hundred of your hard-earned dollars by helping you sell your car. A confusing, complex, and so-o-o-o unnecessary "service".

Based on the premise that you probably don't know how to sell your car yourself.

If you don't...take it to a dealer and just trade it in.

I got the call from them as well.  Anything that is 800-877- or out of area I just told them the car is sold, otherwise they will try to sell you an ad.

Another group of bozos that is calling to try and sell my car for me. They got my number from a cars.com listing because I am selling it myself, I don't need nor want their unsolicited help!
