Solicitors for donations to breast cancer research.

When I answered this call, a recording said, "a representative will be with you shortly".  Not only are they interrupting my peace, they want me to wait for them?  Fat chance!

This is a "lower your credit interest rate" scam call.

Another "Not Provided" caller name.  I am getting a lot of these lately.  They used to identify themselves.

Don't know who is calling from 877 230-6745. It only says "Toll Free Call" on caller ID.
I don't answer those type of calls and there is no message that they leave.

that donot call bull crap! doesn't do anything. it doesn't stop them from calling nothing! I think its the OTHER WAY AROUND, when you place youre number on there, they get your number from there and start harrasing you all kinds of numbers start calling you!

Agree, the Do Not Call list does not work.  Most telemarketers have found ways to circumvent the rules by using cellphones and other blocking devices.  Many have listed their companies as nonprofits in directories when they are not.  
Some aggressive companies are paying their employees to use their personal cellphones to make these calls so they are impossible to block unless you pay extra for blocking services.
Since I used to get up to 60 unwanted phone calls to my home office per day, paying for blocking services was the only, very expensive, option.

They have been calling a lot usually bright and early in the morning. Some people work late into the night and don't get up at 7-9am. I don't bother answering because I have a feeling it will either go too a recording or potentially go to some low level employee whom I have no interest in screaming at and they probably wouldn't connect me to the boss.

They called, says 800 service, third such call in the last fifteen minutes (all from different numbers).  Whew!  

I won't even check call notes to see if they left a message.

Stated they were from the Breast Cancer Society helping woman without insurance help get back on their feet.  When I asked what percentage of the donation went to the woman in need they hung up on me.  Completely bogus company!  Any fund raiser should be able to tell you that right away!

called for the 3rd day in a row at 7am.  They never answer when I pick up.  There is boiler room noise in the background.  When you call the number back, it is a recording about your donation to American Breast Society.  This recording does not conform to the Government requires information for the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. This obviously is a scam company hiding behind the non profit clause.

calls, when you pick up the receiver, even before you say hello, they hang up.  Sounds like harassment to me

I got the "Breast Cancer Society" when I called the number back.   I called the number for Associated Community Services to ask them to remove my number from their caller list:  (248)352-2600.   A pleasant woman answered right away and then transferred me.  A voice mail picked up...I left my number but am not certain they will do anything.

There are plenty of legitimate ways to support the American Cancer Society and other good organizations to raise funds.  This time of year all, over the country, good people are fund raising through Relay for Life. I hope these telemarketers don't sour you into not supporting a great cause.

Received a call this morning - my husband picked up and when I heard hello hello - I knew it was a telemarkerter and told him to hang up - by that time a person answered and said AC - services and they were raising money for a charity - at which point my husband hung up.  I would like to know more about the Panasonic phone - does it allow you to block as soon as the call comes in?

Breast Cancer Society. Looked them up on Charity Navigator and they're not listed, since they don't have 4 years of Form 990's on file. Be wary.
