Very annoying!

These must be very determined scammers to work on a legal holiday. Too bad the Do Not Call registry is so ineffective and unenforced - a typical government operation.

These jerks called FOUR times on the Fourth of July. I wonder if they plan to increase by one each day ...
Wayne 2011-06-06 21:04:03 Unknown
Only two calls today - no one there either time.
Krystalynn 2011-06-06 21:04:03 Unknown
They called me on my cell today too!
stop bad people 2011-06-06 21:04:03 Unknown
these jerks called ALL 4 of my business lines today. I tell them the owner is dead, and they call the next line... same deal. I'll keep telling them the owner is dead until they stop calling...it's almost fun.

They claim to be a telephone surveyor, I can never remember the name, which means they fall under the FTC donotcall *exemptions*.
I asked them nicely to take my number off their list, and they won't do anything until I confirm that they are speaking to an adult. From my perspective, anyone can get an 800 number and claim anything, so for all practical purposes they are the same as anonymous, and I am not in the habit to disclose any information to anonymous callers.
The most annoying part is the stand-off.

Called twice 3hrs apart, but hangs up after 3 rings.
Wayne 2011-06-06 21:04:03 Unknown
I ignored this call because of the caller ID - I imagine it was just another swindler afraid to identify himself.

If you actually read into the DO NOT CALL restrictions you will see the do not call list does not apply to EVERYONE. Charities, Political Organizations, and Telephone Surveyors can still call you as well as any company you already have a business relationship with. So go ahead and report all these "scammers or crooks".
<FROM DO NOT CALL WEBSITE>
If I register my number on the National Do Not Call Registry, will it stop all telemarketing calls?
No. Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you?ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls.

We have received numerous calls from this number over the past few weeks. They do not leave a message and if we pick up the call no one responds. Now we do not answer the calls.

I got a call from this number every night for a week with no messages left. I never answer calls from unknown numbers but finally I got fed up and answered. It was a girl wanting to ask me survey questions about home improvement. I said "no thanks" and hung up and haven't gotten a call since.

If you call this number, press 1. They will remove you.
Paul 2009-07-09 03:42:00 Unknown
I've been seeing this number for a few weeks. I don't answer "Unknown Name" calls from 8## numbers. Who is this anyway?

we are doing a survey. The Do Not Call list doesn't cover surveys. What kind of survey. How many children are in the household and hjow many have vaccines.. Who The f*** cares... GET OFF MY LINE!
Kunochan 2009-07-08 23:59:56 Unknown
Um... stop yelling, please?

WHY DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THE DO NOT CALLS LAWS WOULD PREVENT CROOKS FROM CALLING? They use ROBOT DIALERS that call numbers in order. Your number was not given to them!
C'mon folks - you should be smarter than this!
Crooks/Scammers DO NOT FOLLOW THE LAWS!
the DO NOT CALL laws are for legitimate businesses and they follow these laws in most cases.
TO STOP SCAMMERS - you have to report them YOURSELVES! not just post on complaint boards.

Called my home 3 times today, am fed up, have had my number for 5 years, what good is the Do Not call List if our numbers are given to any jerk?
Paranoia411 2009-07-02 19:33:25 Unknown
Called home# three time, i`m on the DO NOT CALL list. I did n`t answer.
steven 2009-06-30 23:57:22 Unknown
i have been getting the same calls from the same number. I do not have my number on the DO NOT CALL list because people can access it from there and consumers would be receiving the doubled/tripled amounts of calls on their cell phone.
IJB 2009-06-30 22:38:32 Unknown
Called my cell which is unpublished, only friends and family have the number and is on the federal do not call list! I didn't answer and they didn't leave a voice mail. If it continues I will report them to the FCC!

Repeated calls asking to speak to "the lady of the house", but refused to identify who it was that was calling.
