I just got one of these today (May 23, 2014) saying my domain needs to be registered.  I received this via fax.  It's poorly printed on the original sheet, and one of the clues I got that this is fraud was the domain name is only in the address of my workplace, and it's missing the "m" from ".com."  If you go to internetregistrations.com, it automatically redirects you to http://internetregistrar.us/.  Fax #1-888-908-6399, phone #1-800-250-7593

Received a FINAL NOTICE fax. Called the number and a man answered telling me blah-blah-blah ... that our company paid $350.00 in 2009 and is now past due. I contacted our domain host. And after reading all these complaints I am certainly glad I looked into this. Wow, and from Washington, DC too ... how intimidating, like I have the word "stupid" written across my forehead? SCUMBAGS GET A REAL JOB!!

Got a bogus fax  today at the company I work at, they must be getting sloppy didn't even include the listing of what URLS they wanted to "help" with. Same text as what people said before, they want to ensure your name from going to someone else blah blah. All our addresses are registered for years of course.

They are still at it.  We received a bogus fax the other day claiming to be an intellectual property notice and renewal.  No company name, just an address:
1430 K Street Northwest 5th Floor
Washington, D.C., DC 20005
www.internetregistrations.org
The phone number that it was faxed from matched NO phone numbers that have.

We received the same type of fax.  When I called the number and questioned the validity, I was hung up on.  I spoke with someone named Dan Fuller.  The company is claiming to be Internetregistrations.org.  That URL is unregistered and available, though it currently redirects to www.internetregistrar.us.  which is registered to Jonathan Williams - World Registry Central 121 Ave of Americas, New York, NY 10001 212.264.8237.  It should be noted that the address is also the location of the New York Bar Association and the phone number is a nonworking U.S. Government number.  The Sponsoring Registrar is a company called PDR, Ltd.  I am not sure that they are a legitimate business either.  They are DBA  (Doing Business As) www.publicdomainregistry.com.  That URL is registered to the company by the same name located at 9450 SW Gemini Dr. #48732, Beaverton, OR, 97008.  Complaints are to be directed to 201.377.5952 which appears to be a mobile phone with voicemail only.

Received the same "Final Notice" on the same day as the deadline for renewal.  Legal looking document with a Washington, DC address and citing US legal code as well as call-back phone number with a tracking number 800-250-7593.

I received the 'fax' today........and as others had posted, seems that they are trying to scare you into protecting your domain.
It really looks official with all the legal garb associated with your domain, especially the part of being the final notice and it expired today.......the day I received the fax. I had thought about playing a scam on them, but didn't. It's a shame that people want to stoop so low to try to get something for nothing. Well I did what I had to do.........Trashed it !!!

I also received this. But being smarter than the scammer...I know that as long as you're up to date on your renewal your domain name or website name can not be sold or given away. They troll the internet, get your fax number and bingo! Best thing you can do is ignore them! Losers! (Or have a little fun and call them and act all scared and give them a ton of fake info. Make THEM work a little to only figure out you scammed THEM) LOL
