i got a very nasty call from a Terrance Clark who stated he was a legal investor for the state of maryland and they are taking me to court in annapolis md and i am being charged at work and home for this for fraud....this is crazy and they repeatedly called my cell phone several time and admitted it on my voice mail as well. who are they and what can i do about this?

appears to be someone sold a telephone number/name and email list to many insurance companies, this being only one.  I have received many such emails and phone calls all beginning about a week ago.  I blocked most of the phone calls from those who called more than once, and routed all the emails to JUNK.

I was wondering does anyone have an IPhone?  They said I took a survey from my phone and they received my information from that "questionnaire" that i recently filled out.  Problem is I do Not Take surveys.... They also answered the phone Knowing my first name?  WEIRD!

This is QuoteWizard. I filled out an online request form to get information on auto insurance, and when they called, I answered immediately, but no talking, no nothing, then an automated "Goodbye". I waited a few minutes, looked this site up, read comments, then called them back. Immediately a girl picked up, said "Thanks for calling our customer service line for QuoteWizard, is this Amber?" to which I replied "How would you know who I am?" She claimed my phone number comes up on caller ID immediately in their system when I call, and they see that I filled out information for auto insurance, and that I indicated my highest level of education as being high school, they were calling to find out if I would be interested in going to college. I replied that I was only looking for auto insurance, not college information, and why did they contact me for college when I asked for auto insurance?? She promptly thanked me and hung up. WTH??

They are a collection agency. They pose as differing entities to make "dummy" or "Chaser" calls to verify if the number matches the chaser they are looking for.

This company processes applications frim surveys on facebook along with insuance quotes from emiles and various other online surveys that trade participation for other currency facebook tokens airline miles etc

I believe that is related to my participation in the Delta e-miles thing.  The caller, likely from India, asked me to verify my highest education level and asked whether I plan to return to school.  I am extremely annoyed that the expected to be anonymous response was being used like this.

I've filed a complaint against these punks with the FCC. They called me about 9:25 AM this morning December 14th 2011. I said hello, hello hello no answer dead silence. Hung up and started reverse searching this number. Put in the number directly on yahoo and got this website. Thank you all for reporting these punks. File complaints against them with the FCC and we can and will put a stop to these calls. Also make sure you're on the national do not call list.

I have a textfree voice account, no name registered. the same number has called me twice or more, once around the same time each day. I haven't answered, and when I call back, it gives me the b.s. office closed message. Next time they call I WILL answer.

My phone number has been registered on the DO NO CALL list for many years, yet this number keeps calling me and when I say I am registered DO NOT CALL they hang up.

well i just got a call from them, in class at college my teacher was pissed. so here is what you do, for people with:

Cell Phones: view number, options, + to reject list, you will never have to worry about it again

House Phones: Call phone provider and tell them to block what ever number is calling you from calling you and then it will stop.

I got a call from that number i didnt answer .i called back and said hold for the next representative and they hang up...is there sometjing we can do to stop it?

They've called me every day for the past week and never leave a message. I am on the national do not call registry but I guess that doesn't matter to whatever they are trying to sell? Annoying.

just got a wierd call from this number. sounded like a pocket dial at first. then it almost sounded like some freaky horror movie phone call where the voice sounds all gaspy and stilted. WTF?! too strange for... blackilisting it...

I was looking for a better car insurance quote, so I did a Quote Wizard...wow...don't ever do that! My phone lit up like a Christmas tree now I am still taking/avoiding calls from all of these companies. I didn't know all that info was going out to almost 10 companies...that's what I get. And turns out, my current insurer was/is the cheapest...!

I have been getting a call from this number at 5pm every day for the past 3 days. I never pick up and they never leave a voicemail. Luckily I keep my phone on silent at that time, sucks to be them.

This number keeps calling me daily. When I answer there is never anyone there, and as soon as I say hello it hangs up. Also when i call the number back it tries to put me on hold for the next agent. I have had one successful connection with the caller, they said that I filled out online information about wanting to attend college and when I told them I was already in college the guy said okay, and hung up on me.

registered for car quotes. What Does This Mean? I SIGNED UP TO BE CALLED. Been getting lots of calls. No one else calls this number (google voice). Did you sign up for car insurance quotes? you might get calls too....

I have reported this caller to several agencies including the FBI. They randomly pick number per the representative said when I called back orrrrrr someone researches peoples profile. I hope they all go to jail!

Have received 8-10 calls from this number in past week asking for Kitty Miller.  Gentleman is very rude when I explaine that I'm not Kitty, then hangs up.  Called verizon and will be blocking this call.  I have registered at 800 do not call but not sure that works either.  This is not the only call I have been receiving from many solicitors in the past week.  Up to 30+ calls!!!  Considering switching my cell number!

I got the EXACT same thing today...I didn't pick up because I didn't reconize the number and on my VM she was like..."HELLO", "HELLO CHRISTINA", "CHRISTINA ARE YOU THERE".....creepy.

It's car insurance. They got ur number like mine somehow. Mine was from an online survey on Vindale Research. Stupid website.

got  a call from this number at 4:15pm. didn't answer. called it back and it said wait for the next available agent then said none were available and to call back between 9am and 430pm and hung up on me. who is this??

I have been getting a call from this number twice a day for the last two days. They never leave a message and when I call back it says the office is closed and to call back on business hours between 8 and 9 Eastern time. BS!
