I am not older, but I am really empathetic, I wonder if that makes me a good target.
When they called here, I actually told them that I had read about their company. They just changed their name from handicapped employment or somewhat. I had read about the Iowa lawsuit. I like helping folks, but I don't like being taken advantage of..

My Great Aunt has gotten on these peoples list some how and I am now dealing with 8 companies with similar "selling" techinques.

Other names to watch out for are Community Star, LLC from Glendale AZ
HDPD Products also in Glendale, Kaljos Enterprise LLC in Phoenix AZ, There are probably more, I am not going to wait around and find out.  The next time she recieves a package I am going to file a form 1500 with my post office.

Please report these stories to the BBB as I have done so more seniors can avoid being scammed.  Until they are stopped by the law we need to help each other and report as many details as possible

A company called "Disabled and Disadvantaged" company tells my 83 year old mother they are disabled, mentally challenged and unemployed seniors and vets. Six months ago, Mom agreed to "help them out" by agreeing to buy 40 trash bags @ $10. She got 4,000 bags and a $400 charge on her credit card!!! I called, raised h*ll and they apologized and said they didn't know how such an error was made. Yeah, right. They said they didn't want the bags back..keep them with our apology. Yeah, thanks because they are as thin as paper and aren't worth a penny. Thank goodness we were able to get her $400 back because she used a credit card. Just this week, they talked Mom into giving them her checking bank routing number and account number!!!! OMG....they charged her $150 for a 'donation to breast cancer". She got a tote bag full of CRAP! It's so sad my sweet mother actually believes she is helping disabled and mentally challenged people who make and sell these things for a living. We're going to make sure she's not scammed again.

Kay your an idiot....the fake gold pin the United Way sends you for donating only cost a dollar....so by your logic you should have only donated one dollar to them or if you donated $500 to them they should send you a gift worth $ 500 ...the same amount you donated...See how stupid your brain is Kay!  So in short you do not want to donate at all...you just want to buy things and try to make yourself feel good and  brag that you donate to charity.....your are dumb..I will be adding you to all the sucker list and sales list of idiots to call and pester!  Have fun Kay....

I received a box with 2 boxes of lock size bags in it after 4 or 5 phone calls from Advanced Employment Solutions, LLC.  I repeatedly said to stop calling me and I did not want any of their products.  I had bought these bags after saying no, no, no and getting repeated calls.  It is definitely harassment!.  I no longer answer any caller unknown calls as that is how they are now calling me.  I plan to return the product that I now have but from reading above that may just bring all kinds of other problems.

This boiler room operation just shipped my 92 year old mother-in-law a 2 pound fruitcake and a set of inexpensive dish towels along with a bill for $122.95! She mailed them a check this afternoon, but we are contacting the bank in the morning to issue a stop payment order.

It doesn't matter how legit they make it sound, their job is to be professional liars, some of them are alarmingly good at it. These days,  pretty much all of the people making cold calls are crooks.

Assume EVERY COLD CALL you get is from someone who wants to steal from you. EVERY ONE. Since it's true 99.99% of the time, you really don't have to worry about the other .01% of the time.

If you MUST answer calls from numbers you don't recognize, remember you can always just HANG UP. HANG UP. It's so easy. Then they can't steal from you.

This company (Advanced Employment Solutions, LLC) called me, and since I am too nice - I told them I would purchase some potholders for a donation of $25.00.  When I received the bill - it was $58.95.  I sent the $25.00 and wrote on the invoice that it was only suppose to be $25.00 - I have been called several times - they told me it doesn't matter what the salesman told me  - I owe what is on the invoice.  I sent back the potholders - they said they didn't get them and they are still calling and harrassing me.  I am going to write the Attorney General's office and see if they can be charged with FRAUD.  The people operating this "fraud" need to be charged.

My cousin just died at 88.  We're picking up all the pieces.  I just discovered he had been targeted by this company and its fraudulent campaign to milk the elderly.  The phone records reflect their continuance over several years.  The calls and his payments show a track record of the milking.  The bills for trash bags costing $74.95 continue to pour in--even after his death.

So what day does the law step in and terminate their game.???  Come on Phoenix....do something about this.  Enough.

This organization called to thank me for my order of quart size zip lock bags, I had NOT ordered any bags.  He stated $138.00 price first then made it $74.95 when I told him what I had paid before when I felt coersed to do so.    Begged me to please pay for this order which was already in the mail to me so the person would be paid. Sob story about all the people that would order then not pay, so please pay so that the person being helped would get paid.   Promised I would not get called again, that he would put a note in my box stating that fact.  There was no note in the box, I will not be paying the $74.95.  This phone call came after I had told them two or three times, at least, to never call me again.

The follow up: His bank stopped electronic payment and AES tried to take $499.00 again, couldn't and sent it all to United Compucred collections agency. As a result my Dad, not understanding this was for the company that was bilking him released the hold over the phone and they received another $485.00 from him!

This is NOT a reputable company.  It appears that they prey on senior citizens.   My mother received a call, and had zip lock bags forced on her.  She told the gentleman on the phone no and he sent them anyway, along with a bill of $74.95.   When I called the company to explain why we would not be paying anything,  the customer service rep at first tried to tell me I would need to speak with someone else and then hung up in a very unprofessional manner.  It's time to shut this company down.

I told the "supervisor" I didn't want to buy storage bags that cost 173.00 I also told them I didn't want them to call back.  However, I got merchandise in the mail 2 days later with a bill. These are ziplock bags like the ones sold in bulk by costco for 6-7 dollars and air freshener for 40.00 that can be purchased anywhere for 5 or 6.

My 84 year old Mother in law just got a threating phone call from Tina at Advanced Employment Solutions, LLC. 877-242-0707 We had sent back 8, 60W light bulbs that cost $138.95. They where kind enough to give her 4 60W at no charge. When I called back I had to send them prof that we had sent them back. I said no and Tina asked if I thought she was lieing that light bulbs cost so much. I said yes, that we were on the no call list.... She hung up. lol. (told the wife it was gonna be a short call, snork.

Please all, they and others are targeting older folks who are good hearted and pay their "bills" no matter what. Lots of these victims live on very little. If you see, hear or suspect elder fruad, contact some one. Here is the FBI web site;  http://www.fbi.gov/majcases/fraud/seniorsfam.htm

This # was listed as the phone # for Advanced Employment Solutions LLC on an invoice found in a box sent to my mom containing 2 60 watt light bulbs.  The bill for the 2 bulbs was $42.95.  I have answered the phone at my mom's house when this guy called and he wouldn't give me any info on this "business".  He said he'd only talk to my mom so he'd call back another time and hung up.  The address on the invoice is PO box 56276, Phoenix AZ, 85079.  The fax # listed is (602) 381-1309.
