If you asked them to contact you through mail only they have to by law quit calling you!

Yes, this 877 # is for Receivable Solutions, Inc., located in Southgate, MI, with an office in Columbia, SC.
After I wrote them disputing bill and requesting they confirm with their client, they responded by sending a Charity Application on October 31st. They've been calling since and I finally got fed up and called back, eventho' no messages were left. The woman I spoke with was polite, but I was firm in demanding that they cease calling, as I had received the application and would be sending it to the hospital. I also informed her that just as they were recording the phone conversation, that I was doing the same, and firmly, but politely, repeated my demand to stop calling. She said the account was noted for not calling, so we'll see if that works or not.
By the way, if you have a legit debt, please ask about available charity if you cannot pay it off...most hospitals offer something. Yes, the charity app and paperwork can seem lengthy, intrucive to revealing your financial info, and info that's not their business, but it's a small sacrifice to make if it means having a medical bill written off because you really and truly cannot afford it....just my 2 cents, for what it's worth.
If you are getting phone calls for someone who may have previously had your number, you can write to their main office(?) at PO Box 1984, Southgate, MI 48195-0984, and demand that they stop calling you

1-877-242-0980, For quit sometime has been calling me with the same ways and things as stated above by others on my prepaid cell number, but i thought when i answered and did talk to someone, which was more than once and honestly told them i was'nt john doe, which was the person, i have never heard of or known, more than likely, the person who had my phone number before me, which i've had this number for almost 2 years, that it was'nt me and they have the wrong number and person, they would stop, but still everyday of the week, including weekends they still call, and now my boyfriend and i put in a home phone line in our home, not even 2 months ago and the service is in his name, which we are not married and do not have the same last name, they somehow got our home phone number, and now are doing the same thing, calling the same as they still do my cell to our house phone, and will not stop, knowingly if they can get there hands on information about people that easily as they seem to come by, and i'm not the person they ask far when i do answer there calls, just to tell them, i'm not john doe, he's a male, obviously i'm a female, as per my voice as well, you'd think they could find him or would stop this, so somehow related it must be a scam, as well! Do The Math!

Isn't that the truth!
Don't you just love it when they threaten to "ruin" your credit---when there is nothing left to be "ruined"?
I recently threatened to report one to the FTC for making such a false threat.
The shoe is now on the other foot. I have nothing left--and they can't do squat.

At this point, who honestly cares about hurting credit? If people had the money to pay, do you think they would be in that situation in the first place? Mortgage, groceries, and light bills for a family of four are just FAR more important than trying to work out a debt with a debt collector, especially if you have two small children that need diapers and all the other extras. Thanks for the help KJD, but no thanks!

Receivable Solutions is a collection agency for medical providers... If they are calling you it is because you owe money for treatment received at a hospital/ clinic... They are a legit business and ignoring them will only hurt your credit!!!!! Just wanted to let you know..... :)

Crazy automated message. I don't trust it. When I called it back it had a lady answer saying "Receivable Solutions." What a scam. Don't respond if you receive a call from them. It is total harassment.

I get calls from 877-242-0980 several times a week asking to call back there is an import message for "someone else's name - not me".

I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. They called at 7:30 pm, wayyyyy out of business hours. I dialed them back and there was a real person answerer stating Receivable Solutions, I hung up.

A recording calls me with an "Important Message"...if it's that damn important
why not have a real person calling? Because it's a way of getting around the
do not call list. If I find this person I will cut his privates off with a rusty
switch blade.

They left a message saying they had an important message for me many times. When I've called back they said they were bill collector's. I didnt trust them so I told them to send me proof in the mail. They've repeatedly told me that they would but I've received nothing. I do not trust this number.
