Who is this and why do they keep calling? I don't trust them and it is very disruptive!

I called the number after receiving many hang ups. I was told it was a company called Zip Web. I asked for them to quit calling me and was told they would in 72 hours.

They just called my work today for the 100th time looking for the "Owner of the Business".  I asked to leave a message and naturally they said "I'll just call back later".  I said, "Please either leave a message or don't call back.  She said "The Message is...Go to Hell!"

My cell phone is being bombarded by repeated calls -- several each day -- from 877-244-9184.  There must be a way to shut down that abusive business.

These folks call us a lot. i answered today and since we own the business, they wanted to talk to us about putting an ad in the ???? yellow pages. i could hear lots of people talking in the background and told them no thank you and hung up. Hope this helps someone else!

Unfortunately I work at a business where I must anwser all phone calls.  Toll free numbers should totally be ignored.  I wa polite at first (that does not work) I finally wrote down this number (877) 244-9184 everytime this number shows up on caller ID I pick up the phone and slam the receiver down.  Everyone is happy now, the call is anwsered, and I just don't have to deal with this harrassment.

I was away from my desk (so I couldn't GOOGLE the phone number) and made the mistake of picking up the phone. As soon as I did I heard the CLICK indicating that the had no scammer to speak to me at that moment.  That's a shame.

Need to stop calling they have wrong number

Both the above number and the same type call and same voice from 877-366-2957 have constantly been calling 508-674-3529.  When we answer there is nobody there.

We have caller ID here, and these idiots have called us about 20 times in the last month.  I finally just answered the phone "hello", and when they asked to speak to the owner, I told them they must have a wrong number, because I'm not a business.  Haven't heard back since then, although I wouldn't be surprised if they do try again eventually.

Hate these bogus calls phishing for information for their database to sell to other telemarketers. I tell them to hold on for my boss and transfer them to our FAX number....SCreeeaccchhh...xxhhhccchhhh!

actually very polite asian-sounding male wanted to speak with owner or office manager regarding placement in google search engine. I told him we were not interested and he politely asked why so he could put us on the do not call list. I told him we were not interested in web placement and he thanked me and said have a good afternoon.

This time they called themselves "Access Local."  Same old "confirm listing" crap.

They keep calling and when noone answers in 5 seconds.  I hang up.  Pesty callers and reported them several times.  Wish there was something one could do to keep them from bothering me.  Now, when I see the Unavailable 877# I don't even answer the phone.  They never leave a message.

Lamet, your point is understood but, you sound like an a***ole. Please think about what you are writing and read it again before you post it. Obviously you are having issues with the company too, or you wouldn't be here. That is of course if you are not here to just to be an a**.

She called the office three times trying to get information. You would think that once being hung up on would make them get the clue that we don't want whatever it is that they have, and we certainly aren't going to just arbitrarily give out personally identifiable information.

They keep calling several times a day...no matter what time of day.  They never say anything.  What is the use of the Do Not Call List if we still get harrassed by these unwanted phone calls.

Receive these calls from this number several times per week sometimes several times per day.

Lady says she is from local connect and wants to update my business info.   I told her to take me off of the list and she says she needs the info.    I told her again and she hung up on me

Received two calls from this number asking for verification for some directory.  Asian accent, claimed to represent the local yellow pages.

A "boiler room" located somewhere in Asia....do not answer them!!

Okay, this is one those operations that wants to "update your business listing for their free online directory service".

They ask to speak to the owner and then go into their script.

Been through this several times. It ain't free. Once they confirm your info, then they go into the billing process which is through your local phone company. It shows up on your monthly phone bill.

I told the lady we already have a listing with AT&T and to remove our name/listing from their list. She was cordial, said thanks, and hung up.

It's 6:30 am and my phones going off and I didn't get to it, only to call back and find that they want me to hold for the next available agent???

Got a call from this number at my business. I pulled up this number on this website while the phone rang.

After four rings it quit.

Thanks to Caller ID, I don't answer toll free calls, or from numbers with out of state area codes I don't recognize.

Nice thought but they will continue to call and as the years pass their calling becomes more aggressive.  5 or 6 times a day, 7 days a week.  I NEVER ANSWER 800 CALLS.  Getting harrassed by these calls CAN be considered harrassment even if you don't answer the call, THEY ARE TYING UP THE BUSINESS LINES as often as they can.  That equates to the business not being able to conduct business with their customers or clients.  Think about it.  Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

you are right except that the FTC does nothing.  I have reported these morons up to 20 times a year for the last 4 years at least and still the calls keep coming in.  They call my office phone in spurts.  3 or 4 times a year.  They will call 7 days a week, any time of day or night, never leave a message and still they call.  I do not answer any 800 calls simply because 99.9999% of the time they are scamming telemarketers that have absolutely no fear of the federal laws and they will laugh in your face if you tell them that you are reporting them to the FEDS.  They know the FEDS are not going to do a single thing.  SO you can trust me that the FEDS are fully aware of this group and what they are doing and the FEDS haven't done a thing about it.  Of course I will continue to flood the internet connection to the FTC every time they call my number.  Oh by the way, I checked with my local phone company and they are aware of this group and was told by my phone company that it is a scam and that this group is in no way connected with any local phone company and to simply report them, try to get your local police to take a report (they won't).  They tell me it is a civil thing and only I can file a civil court case against them for harrassing me.  I would need to first find them.  The phone number isn't going to do it.

I received a call from this number and first few moments of the call went as described above - noise, older asian female voice, etc.. When I asked who was calling she said gave her name, I don't remember it, and then said she was from "F**kYouBitch.com" and hung up. Go figure.

If I filled this out everytime I got calls IDed as Unknown Caller or Not Provided, I'd get nothing else done.  I just had a call from this number even though I am on the DNC list.  So my simple rule is DNA (do not answer).  If I receive a call from any 800 number or Unknown, etc., I simply let it ring.  They can leave a message if they choose; most do not.  If more people simply refused to answer such calls, perhaps they would cease.  You can't be harrassed if you don't answer.

I ANSWERED, THEY ASKED TO TALK TO OWNER, I ASKED NATURE OF CALL, THEY SAID TO SELL ONLINE YELLOW PAGES, I SAID NOT INTERESTED TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST. THEY IMMEDIATELY CALLED BACK 2X AND HUNG UP ON US. EVIDENTALLY CAN'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER.
