Googe "Stop Calling Letter"  modify it with your information and mail it to them registered and by law they have to stop harassing you. Threaten to report them to the BBB the CAA and any other agency at your disposal and they will stop.

These people are getting on my nerves. they keep calling me also.  they've called my job. and, today my sister called me who lives on the west coast and said that they called her house looking for me.  I told them if they continue i was going to fill a harrassed claim.

we have received these calls several times already asking for my husband. so finally, i gave them a call today.i gave them the ref #   and the guy asked me for my husband's last 4 digit SS#. i told he must have a different person w/ the same name as my husband. off course, i refused to give him the SS#. the call was disconnected

I received a call from a phone number, 1-866-355-9587, with the same voicemail claiming to be William W. Segal and Associates.  It repeatedly said my name and stated it was a debt collector.

i recieve a call from this number i didnt  know were they calling  from the message machine said my name and last name so i call back and a  woman answer  and she said my name i didnt were they got  my name and last but she ask me for the last 4 numbers of my social security number she gave me another numbers that was not mine so i said that is not mine she said that she is gonna delete and i will have no calls any more i dont if a make a mistake calling back to them

Everybody please stop the whining and just fight back. Simply dial the 877 # back as many times as you can... every day. The call is free, for you, but not for them!!! They will get the message and quit calling after they get their phone bill. Good luck 8-)

Upon returning home this evening(10/27), I had a phone message on my phone recorder saying I owed a debt & to call 1-877-247-6116.   Caller even referenced the debt #(8808---9).   What a scam.  I called my phone co.-Verizon-Illinois-no help from them!!!!.  Don't respond to these people but put some pressure on Verizon +perhaps call your state Attorney General.  Maybe their office can help?!!?

Got a message today on my parents house phone saying they are attempting to collect a debt from me. If I'm not so and so please don't not listen and gives the 877-247-6116 number to call back with a case number. I have my own private number that I give to people when I purchase things with credit and it isn't this house phone because the people that recieve calls on that number do not need to know my business so this has to be a scam!!! Debt collector name is William W. Seagal and associates... or something like that.

The mumber was 877-247- 6116 wanted my son to use the numbers 86652358
Both times was from the same company trying to collect debt from my adult son who has not lived at home for over 10 years.  I do not care what anyone says no one has the right to try to track me/ my son or any of my family under bogus debt collection.  My husband and I do not have any credit cards or any credit card debt. We do not want any credit cards.

I received another call today Sept. 20, 2010. From the same number 1-877-247-6116 unknown caller it left another recorded message from a person who had the same british accent (same computer voice.) it said to call 877-247-6116 and said to use the same number as before 86652358. It was calling for the same son.  Trying to collect debt again.  My husband and I do not have any credit card debt.  By law I have the right to sue them for harrasment.  By law I have a right to privacy.   By law I have the right to be on a do not call list and expect to receive no unwanted phone calls.
My last message written on the same day is not on here.  What the heck is going on.  They will be reported.  I think I will report this sight also.  Both messages on here are truthful.  I have not got time to answer bogus phone calls or call the caller back or type messages on here.  Stop calling me.

I received a phone call today Sept. 20, 2010 from this number 877-247-6116 and I did not answer it because the caller I.D. said unknown name. It left a recorded message on my answering machine.  It taked about it should not be listened to in public and it paused for a few minutes and it basically told me everything except for what debt he susposedly owes.  It said it was calling for my son about a debt they were trying to collect.  My son has not lived at home for over 10 years.  I have gotten calls about my other son from other companies saying he owed money and that he gave them my phone number when appling for credit.  It said to call 877-247-6116  and use this number  86652358.  Stop calling me. I am on a do not call list. There is a hugh fine for people who call someone on a do not call list.  I have a relative who is a judge.  He has an associate  from when he was a lawyer.  I could turn this over to them if I get anymore phone calls from this number.  I do not appreciate anyone I do not know calling my house trying to collect debt from either one of my sons.  They are adults.  Even tho they are adults these calls upset me.  I am sure this was a crank call.

they called and left a message saying they were from william c siegel.  find it strange that they have a british accent, and the debt that they want from me is a debt that i had already taken care of.  also find it strange that they have been under another name too?  what kind of company is this... REALLY?

I've received the same phone calls.  On Aug 5, 2010 I called (877) 247-6116 and told the answerer they were calling the wrong person and phone number.  She said she would remove my number from the file.  On Aug 26 I received two more phone calls, hanging up on each.  I will file a complaint against the firm this afternoon with:

Today was the first time they called me. The recording was a man with a strong british accent saying I owed money to William Seagal. They have my first and last name right which I don't like.

Williams W. Siegel and Associates contacted me from the same number. I don't think this is a scam but they could have they wrong person with a close name. For years there has been a guy with my same first and last name but different middle name that has owed Bally's Fitness. I had to go to court and prove that I was not him and later had to threaten to sue for harassment because they continued to track me down. This is a total different law firm that I had experienced it with in the past. Do not give them any info and if it is not you threaten to sue for harassment. The lady was quick and apologetic about getting my number off of their list.

By law, anyone can try to hunt you down for debt collection.  Even family members you have absolutely no contact with are at risk of harrassment by way of your total disregard!  Paying any debt you may have, including credit cards your spouse co-signs your name to, is an easy way to keep debt collectors from "scamming" you.

These people need to quit calling and trying to scam innocent people!

877-247-6116 or Williams W. Siegel and Associates had been calling for a few months now, always between 9am and 10:30 am. I would pick up the phone and listen to the recorded voice, who sounded like a British game show host. He would say that he was calling on behalf of Williams W. Siegel and Associates and that I needed to call 877-247-6116 and I was given a reference number. So after all this time I finally called. I was getting sick of them accusing my of having an outstanding debt. Which I am positive that I do not owe anyone any money. Anyway, I call. I hear many chattering voices in the background. Most definitely a call center. A woman with an Indian accent answers and asks me how she can help me. I told her that ... She then asked me what the number was that I was calling from and if I could state my name. I gave her my number, but declined to give her my name. She then asked if I could verify my birthday. I answered no. She then asked if I had lived at such and such address and of course I hadn't and didn't. She then asked if she could have the year I was born. I told her. ooops. (I hope that I didn't put myself in a hole by doing that. Yikes.) She finally asked me how long I had this phone number. I told her and then she apologized and said that she would remove me from her registry.
I hope that this will help anyone who has to deal with these people in the future.

These lowlifes call my brother in florida, they said i owe a balance to chase. He explained he is not tje 1 they r looking for n they giv him a haard time. He ask where did they get his number from and they say my wife!! I call and get some uneducated guy from india tryin to get me to pay a c/c i dont have  . I called chase and they said its not true i only have 1 acct and its in good standiNg so beware , they r scammers!!!

Got two missed calls today, one voicemail. One call was from my sister. I called her back and she said she never left a voicemail. The other missed call was from this number. Looks like the voicemails from them. Didn't listen to it yet, I will later. They better not call every day. Good thing I'm on the do not call registry 2 times!!! ;) do it people. It's not a scam. I hadent gotten one of these calls in a year. So it DOES work. And call the number back and ask them to stop calling and stuff. This 877 number calling stuff is crap if u ask me! :D hope I helpedddd

Scumbag Debt Collector using INDIANS in INDIA to trick you into paying old expired debts. There is a way to STOP them from calling you.. Call from The Same Number they called you. Even if it YOUR NAME, IGNORE IT.  By Order of the Fair Credit Act, they HAVE to send you a letter.  

Did you also know that no matter what you say on the phone, even if it is recorded, is NOT legal and binding?  Cover your a** - send it via certified mail back to them and ensure that they DO NOT have any phone contact.  Make sure you put that in your letter.

Under Federal Law, you are not required to even speak to a Debt Collector or an Attorney that is a debt Collector - THAT'S THE LAW.  Use the Law to your advantage.

They called leaving the same message as everyone else gets.....looking for my ex-wife from 20yrs and 3 husbands ago, using her latest husbands last name. They are both train wrecks so I'm sure they owe somebody money, but it sure is rude to call ME. Blocked 'em.

Got the same automated message from the William W. Siegel Law Firm. I may owe a debt, but, I will not pay these people. I will only pay back the actual folks I owe.

This number keeps calling me at 8 am and waking me up.  I'm tired of these phone calls so early in the morning  And they never leave a message.

Same as everyone else. Light British accent and asks for the same name each time. Someone I have never heard of. Several months now.
