it say its from Valentine and Kebbartas a collectin agency, Ive been recieving calls for about 2 months now and the left message with a telephone number and reference number, I finally called, some latin guy answered, I told the reference number and to please erase the telephone number. I research them in internet

These people are also associated with the number 1-800-731-7766. They are nothing more than a collection agency working for Chase cards. I have been faithfully paying on my Chase card for years until I lost my job....I was still making payments but smaller ones to show I was trying to pay this card off. As soon as my payments were below the "required monthly amount" I began getting calls every day, 2-3 times a day. Now these Valentine & Kavartis people are calling me and whenever they call the number comes up "unknown". I have yet to speak to them in person and dont plan to. I am currently applying for disability, I can no longer work because of my condition and if these people are stupid enough to take me to court they will most likely lose.  They cannot touch my husband or his wages like i have read them doing in some of the posts here. If i had the money to pay off this stupid Chase card I would and definitely plan to if I in my disability case. Until then I guess I will be changing my phone number. Good luck to you all.

These people called my number SEVERAL TIMES IN THE WEEK.  They all are latin speaking people, sometimes speaking in English some other times in Spanish. They claim to have an unpaid account formy son that they need to collect. And of course they start asking confidential information which I will not provide. They seem to know that a given person has an old unpaid account to collect and sound very real about the details as collectors agents. Except they do not provide much information from their firm.These people are suspiciously strange. If you ask their names as reference they identify by a single name : Christie or Anthony.  Not a company to be trusted at all. Ask them to send the information via routine mail and it will never arrive to you even when they claim that they will do so. They do not identify as Valentine & Kabartas unless you call back to that number to find out who called so many times. Beware.

I got another one just now, I told him that they need to send me a bill. He said we don't need to send you anything. I told them yes you have to send me a bill. He said no we don't, we will keep calling you until you pay your debt. I said you don't even know if I am the right person you are looking for. He told me my social security number and it was wrong. Told him that if they think that I am the right person then they have to tell me what this debt is from. They hung up.....

And how can we stop them? They still call back if you say you aren't the person they're looking for.

These guys call from this number every month or so, It is a debt collection place, they refuse to speak clearly and are seeming to talk down to you when you ask them to repeat themselves. Carlos Jones was his name, I had him spell it for me because he had a very very thick accent. He said that I have an account with a cell phone company, Which I don't.. Collectors are required to send you a bill outlining the details of the debt... I get hung up on every time I ask for them to send me a bill. First they say that they already sent me a bill (never have)and I repeat the request and they hang up.... They have the last 4 of my social security number wrong and I will not verify it on the phone. These people are ridiculous, the longest call I had with them was a few years back when they threatened me with jail and fines and attorneys if I don't pay them, I told them that I do collections for a living and they cannot speak how they were speaking. Which ended in them hanging up on me. How did they get my number and know who I am??

They are always calling using the #208-639-4464.  The caller id name is Extreme Media.  The person on the other end has a thick accent and talks very fast. They are calling about a debt that is 10 years old.  I ask their name and it the answer is so fast I don't understand them, so I got their phone number.  T tell them that neither the name or number is what's on caller id and I will not talk to them.  When I call back on the 208 number all I get is a busy signal.  Something doesn't feel right.  Is this legal

My friend has received multiple calls from this number! They are certainly not following the legally allowable collecting processes. I work at an attorney's office which specializes in debt collection. There are certain steps that can be taken to discipline such companies, although these types of companies do go in and out of business frequently making it hard to hold them accountable. *****I want people to become more aware of the fact many of these laws pertaining to collections are to keep people in this constant state of disillusion by controlling them. How? People consider themselves the victim of a call by collectors, for instance-me, even when I follow all the laws, simply by trying to collect what the individual is already obligated to pay, but people want a form of protection from responsiblities, called-absurbed laws. Any law can be defended and approved of by the public, but it doesn't necessarily make it a good one. We have become a lazy and immoral society. We need to get up everyday and stop focusing on how to make excuses and avoid responsibilities; we need to tell ourselves we can accomplish anything by becoming a more just/responsible/knowledgeable society!*****

these guys are alright by me     i had a legit debt to settle and they called me up, i paid and my credit shows such..   you all are just paranoid

This is a collection agency.  Most likely from Chase bank.

Receive calls many times a day.  Caller ID states Valentine C.  I don't answer but I hope the folx who said they have skills to investigate are effective.

call came and I held on for agent. Message said hold for my last name 1st and then 1st name. I asked them who this was and with a heavy accent would not tell me.  Kept askingif this was .. (MY NAME)I asked several times to repeatwho is this and what do you want. because I could not understand him.Still don't know who it is and what they want. I told him he has the wrong #.

I have been receiving several calls per day from this 877-250-7416 number and from 208-639-6849 for weeks. It is an automated voice recording that indicates there is urgent ingormation regarding (they name a releative of mine) and to press the 9 key for further information. This has never worked as the call imediately drops. I feel hostage to these callers as there is never a person to tell that they have the wrong number. After reading these other comments, I don't think they will stop anyway. HELP!!!

I just got a call from this company and some guy with a heavy accent asked for me to call the 877 number and of course I didn't because he sounded VERY strange. So I decided to look up the number and I found this information. Thanks guys for the heads up about this scam agency! I don't even owe any collection agencies...no debts! Maybe I should have my Chief of Police Uncle call them and see what they have to say! LOL Thanks again everyone!

A lady (who identified herself as DeDe Williams) with an Indian accent left a message on my company cell phone. She wanted me to call her back at 1-877-250-7416 x205. In the background there was paper shuffling and people laughing followed by a few seconds of silence before she started recording her message. She did not identify the company she was with.

These people called and left a message for me!
It was the same Sam Bachelor idiot that has been harassing others.

Thank goodness I googled the number before calling him back and saw these reports.
What a scam!  
They also got hold of my friend on his cell phone.

This number has been calling my father on his cell phone for several months now.  They call him by his first and last name telling him they are collecting for a bad check he wrote to a business on an account at a local bank.  He has told them numerous times that he has never had a checking account with this bank and they have the wrong person.  He called the local bank to see what was going on.  He was told they had account (which is now closed) for someone with the same name but a different address and ssn.  He has told the caller what the bank told him, but they still call.  I work for a law firm and told him to get them to send him something in writing and we would write them for him.  They apparently do not have his address because they keep asking him for it, but he will not give it to him.  Yesterday, they called and he asked for their number so that he could give it to his attorney and they just hung up.  Today, they called back and gave him the 877 number.  We are calling them for him today, so we will see what happens.

Someone calls me from this number several times a day.

my story is the same as the others listed. I am in law enforcement so I am going to do some reporting to the feds and get these guys exposed.

They are probably observing these posts too.......

They keep calling asking for someone that we have no clue who it is. They state we have an account with Chase bank and they are willing to settle. I told them we do not have an account with Chase bank and that they have the wrong #. They still keep calling. So, I wrote a certified letter to Chase bank after looking up their information online. I told them to have these people stop harassing us. The caller ID states 208 area code #'s but they leave the 877-250-7416 # to call back on!

that he was not speaking with her and this was not her phone number, he got very rude, I told him that I was her cousin and that I do not know how he got
my phone number, he claims that she gave it to them, which I really doubt it
since this is new phone number and she does not know it. I took a message and told him that when I see her, I will let her know. He then called right back again asked for her again I told him not to call the number again, he just hung-up on me. so I can not be sure that he heard me say do not call this phone number again that I have taken the message and when I see her and it is not offen I will let her know. As, I am writing my phone rang again and it was the same person harrassing me. Something needs to be done, they do not have the right to harrass people and giving out information about someone else. I agree with one of the people that have issued a complaint, these people are scums. I am not even finish writing this and again my phone has rang a total of 5 times more and they have not left one message.

some guy ID himself as "lawyer Josue Knight" ext 238. He called 4 times but His calls were blocked and I wont call back~ He said it was regarding an account with CHASE

They called twice a day and a automated voice asked for Keith Martin. (unknown who he is and I've had my number for 10 years.  I called them back and told them no one with that name lives here.  A few days later the calls started again.

These people call all day and I have never answered. Thanks for the posts I will continue to avoid these calls!!

This number keeps on calling me. They always want to give out a loan. I keep telling them no and they always say that all they need for the loan is my social security number for "verification" and my credit card number for a fee. I know a scam when I smell one.
