They call but do not leave a voicemail message.

I?ve been receiving non-stop daily calls from American Diabetes Association (ADA). I tried blocking each number, but they will just switch to another number. I?ve blocked three so far (877-251-2901, 877-240-6044, 877-262-9431). At first, I just blocked them after checking the internet and finding them to be spamming for donations but once I saw them automatically switching to yet another number, I got tired of all this. I called ADA (check the internet, but the direct number is 1-800-Diabetes). I learned that they have a ton of numbers so it is not feasible for you to block each one. This is part of their Community Campaign and, really obnoxiously, it is one of their most successful campaigns to harass people for donations like this so I learned from the operator. They will ask for your personal information (name, zip code, mailing address) but I declined to share anything for obvious reasons. I am on the Do-Not-Call Registry but the operator told me that it is legal for charities to spam people. Sigh. They said it takes 5 business days for me to be removed from all their calling lists, so let?s see?

If I had a nickel for every time a call from this number came to my residence, I'd be rich! They have got to be the most annoying and persistant telemarketer out there. They never give up trying to reach us. Calls come in a few times each day and are never answered. If I happen to be at home when they call, I get the incoming number. Otherwise, it's just a hang-up on my answering machine with the dial tone!
We wish they would stop calling us. Needless to say, someone is too stupid to put two-and-two together. This has been going on for months. If I inadvertantly answer a call someday, I'm afraid I won't be nice!!

We keep getting calls from this number: 877-251-2901. I told them to never call my number again.
I am also going to post this to Facebook!

I had a message on my answering machine today from 877-251-2901. The message was soliciting for an insurance company. I called the number on Caller ID and it answered as the American Diabetes Association. I am not sure what the deal is with this number.

Caller ID said "anonymous". Never leaves a message. Clearly not legit and just looking for money. Don't answer!

I will never give to them as well, they all are crooks taking from for themselves in the name of charity.

They left no answer so I called them back. It was ADA, but I disagree with Bill. I pressed 1 and entered my phone number so they will stop calling. Otherwise I know they will keep trying.

09/18/11 - Called on a Sunday afternoon. When I picked up (to ask "Are you kidding me???"), caller/machine hung up. I have no clue who the caller is either.

Had a call ring in at 1223 Central Time on 9/6/11. No one was home and we generally don't answer calls of this type anyway. The Caller ID read "TOLL FREE CALL." We blocked our own phone number going out and called 877-251-2901. A pleasant male voice indicated that we had reached the American Diabetes Association and, among other things, should now dial one to cease receiving such calls in the future. I DO NOT counsel anyone to press one or even to call that number without blocking their own phone number with *67 first. This is a new wrinkle, with the ADA adding a TOLL FREE NUMBER to the other six that rang so incessantly that I had blocked them all back in early March of 2011.
The other six numbers, which I wouild not believe they have abandoned, were:
240-210-7102
571-261-0106
410-202-0108
703-291-9032
434-878-9983
301-223-0109
I now have all seven, including 877-571-2901, blocked from ringing my landline phone. As indicated above, calling them and dialing 1 will be much more likely to get you more phone calls rather than fewer - you will only have told them that your number is alive and working!

Just a couple minutes after 8:00 AM here in NC, and the phone rings from this number. I don't answer either unless they ID themselves, they didn't.

No one is on the line when I answer. Does anyone know who this number belongs to?
| Baker 2011-08-25 16:36:25 Unknown |
We got a call from this number on our land line in middle Georgia this morning, 8/25/2011. I can't give any more information, since we don't answer this type of calls, and the answer machine is turned-off due to our receiving so many spam calls.
